This is exactly why I've learned to never point out the logical inconsistencies or irrational assertions that spew forth from male mouths. It's a waste of time. Everything is a mind game with them, and in the past, I end up going around in logical circles, with them being too dense and dimwitted to comprehend rational thoughts. They are more committed to "proving" some kind of primate-level social dominance to themselves and other males, than honest and critical examination of their belief systems.

I love Finn Mackay and this talk - she's totally inspirational . Personally, I actually think some women should have superior rights to men ) lol. I genuinely think the roles some women manage , and the complexities of managing and juggling them successfully needs recognising - and that they are far more complex and challenging than those any man will ever have to.

It was day where they brought men all over the area to a building to talk to them because the suicide rate of men was at a all time high. I don't want an "interesting angle" I want an "accurate picture".
Erin Pizzy, the woman who founded the first women's shelter in the UK stated from the beginning that she believed domestic violence was not a gendered issue and more often than not also not even a one sided issue. She often noted that many of the women who came to her shelter were just as violent as the men they left. She stated that the violence was often reciprocal, with both parties abusing each other, that the stereotypical abusive relationship with a ckear perpetrator and clear victim is a rarity. She said that the problem was a generational one, the abuse was a learned behavior, often from having abusive parents and being unable to learn anything different in childhood.
For this she was ostracised by other feminists, forced out of running the shelter she started which she is not allowed to set foot in to this day, she received death threats, someone butchered her dog on her front lawn, and she finally fled the UK to the US after the bomb squad had to be deployed to her home.
Now, decades later we finally have research showing she was right making it's way to the surface little bu little after years of being suppressed un favor of those "interesting angles" that kept being pushed over what she was saying decades ago.
60% of all domestic violence situations are reciprocal, both parties are abusive and switch off who the aggressor is as often as they change clothes. If those cases where abuse is one sided 70% of them have a female abuser and male victim. Yet our mandatory arrest laws dictate the male should be assumed the aggressor and arrested based upon the Duluth model, one of those "interesting angles" you were talking about. The reality is most of the time what they need is for both parties it be separated from each other and given counseling to teach them how to handle their problems with words and not violence, with arrests only necessary in the most extreme or handful of one sided cases.
We have laws to allow women to flee with their children, but men can often be arrested if they try to do the same. We have a multimillion dollar industry built up around shelters for female victims, but the majority of shelters male victims are directed too are not actually domestic violence shelters, they are homeless shelters. There is only one dedicated male domestic violence shelter I know of in this whole country and it is privately funded, mostly by men who have stayed there previously.
We have seen men call the police because their wife is attacking them, then despite the officers finding him with a knife stuck through his arm and her without a mark on her, they arrest him. In fact, whenever you suspect a male might be a victim of domestic abuse you should not recommend that they call any of the existing hotlines. This is because the operators are trained to percieve any male calling as an abuser attempting to game the system by reporting first as a means of abusing his partner. If he calls, they will assume he is an abuser and direct him to anger management courses. If he refuses he may find himself being investigated under suspicion of domestic violence.
This is what your "interesting ideas" created.

Feminism in the modern western world died when women were given equal rights. Now another movement has started which simply blames men for all of your problems and uses Feminism (Which I think had many good points in its day) As a scapegoat. On average men are more competitive than women and strive for positions that pay more within the industry e.g. Financial advisor vs H R officer, or Brain Surgeon vs Nurse requiring more study and more in demand hence a higher salary or jobs with more authority and also more likely to work in more dangerous positions. As for CEOs, of course there are more male CEOs when more men than women have started companies. Those women at the top used the same system to get there, so I think it’s a little naive to expect them to want to change it once they get there since they could make it.

    • @Jay-bx8pe
      @Jay-bx8pe 6 років тому +7

I understand what you're trying to say but from what I have seen in the west there is still sexism (also a part of feminism), pink tax and wage gap. Women pay more for the same product that men also use which in its nature is illogical. Women and men might have the same job and do the same work but men get a higher pay, it stands as even if a woman were to perform better than a man in the same job she would still receive a lower salary. Women are assumed by many to attend to reproductive duties as that of a stereotypical housewife, and even if a woman was to prove she could do productive duties such as work and vote, she would still be assumed to attend to her reproductive duties. Feminism is not just about equality in rights. It's also about gender inequality, racism and sexism in its purest form.
Women's and men's rights are still not equal in the west either.

      >"wage gap"
*Kevin has already explained why there's a wage gap. Btw, the White House and others who promote the wage gap myth are manipulating statistics in a way to convince women that they are the victims of systematic societal discrimination, and, therefore, stand to benefit from further government action.*
      >"Women pay more for the same product that men also use which in its nature is illogical."

      >"Women are assumed by many to attend to reproductive duties as that of a stereotypical housewife, and even if a woman was to prove she could do productive duties such as work and vote, she would still be assumed to attend to her reproductive duties."
*The west has moved away from that. We don't live in the 1800's anymore.*

Pink tax doesn't account for the amount of selection women have/want. Men have much more limited options and those options sell more products. More of one product means 1 factory and less production costs. Even if the product is the same with a different color it is priced according to how it sells. By lowering the female product price the male product would have to go up in price even though it receives a bulk discount. This is the same premise as Costco, the demographic that buys more while needing less selectition, receives more of a discount.

It's true. Women's emotions get in the way of their logic. Especially when they are on their periods, then they are even more likely to act irrational. Women just can't handle situations as well as men.

@IronFistFanatic I wouldn't consider a woman throwing a temper tantrum because she is on her period acting better than a man. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate women. I am respectful towards a woman as long as she isn't taking her bad mood out on me, but let's face it, women are very emotional and emotions can make you act out if you can't control them. I hope you are not one of those SJW's that gets triggered over everything.

Wouldn't full equality between everyone defeat the purpose and meaning of feminism? Feminism is solving women's problems, not everyone's problems. It not that I wouldn't want equality its that it is literally not what the word means.

It’s not just having an equal amount of women doctors. It is stopping 12 year olds from being sold to men as slaves and stopping human trafficking and enabling worldwide education. The point of feminism isn’t for women to be completely equal in everything... it’s for women to have that opportunity legally and fairly. People blame feminists, but if anyone doesn't believe in the above causes they are the problem.

She mentions only women's issues and implies that men are the cause of them. Sounds like textbook feminism to me. Ignores the idea that women are perpetrators of domestic violence only slightly less than men are [feminism 101] Suggests that women are the only ones experiencing inequality [feminism 101] Reclaim the Night focuses explicitly against "male violence against women and children" [feminism 101] completely disregards female on female violence, female on male violence, and female on child violence [feminism 101] Can anyone find the point where she veered away from feminism 101? If you exclude roughly half of all people from the focus of the movement, how can you sell 'equality' as the goal?

It should be called femaleism, as they supposedly speak on behalf of that gender.
obviously a real human has both feminine and masculine traits.
What if its a psychological subjective thing and not even about the world? maybe the femaleists feel oppressed by men because they project their own oppression of their own femininity in themselves onto the men?
you get what i mean? they think they aught to be strong and independant and act like that but maybe some woman just wanna care for other people and not manage numbers.. then they have to suppress that wish in order to become a real strong modern woman, to fulfill that new modern, more masculine role. so maybe they now think the masculinity is oppressive because it is actually oppressive in their own character.
Isnt it time to identify as human? Or life even. This whole gender thinking doesnt seem to be getting us anywhere.

I have been researching on this topic since 4 years of my University life.. I think feminism means Zan-parasti. zanparasti means to give them some extra protocol just for making relation with them.... I have written two articles on this topic. Which were published in newspaper. I want to direct discussion with this anchor if possible then it will be great honor for me. I am waiting for your kind response.
