@@favouritejay I wired it up, and attempted it a few times, i have popped 3 fuses, not sure exactly what is going wrong.. could potentially be where the high beam or ground is coming from? where were you able to access those from on your vehicle?
it works now, i needed a second relay for it to work fully with my car, i can send a diagram if you need to show others how but i basically just made my own h4 harness with a 5pin and 4pin relay
Yo Jay, thanks for your videos mate! They're awesome, loved your rear drum brake video and might have a go at them as well. The previous owner of my hj61 put in the same lights and they're working-just not the high beam. Any idea what that could be? Haven't gone through the wiring yet but maybe you have an idea. Anyway, I'll watch the rest of your build now! Keep em coming, there is just not many videos of driveway repairs on 60s on YT.
Hey Andre! Thanks so much for the lovely words. It’s a bummer that you can’t get your lights working, message me on Instagram @the_60_series And I’ll see if I can help you out. It is a bit of a fiddly thing to try and get perfect. Where are you based?
Hey mate. I’ve got a hj60 and am putting in similar lights and am having the same problem and I wasn’t sure if you left the pre existing relay for the lights in or if that new relay replaces that one. Thanks and your vid’s have helped a lot
Hey mate appreciate the vid, I ran into the same problem same unmarked black box with no instructions. I got the same relay and plug but im stuck on the install.. Where did the two wires from the light come from.. like are they exposed when cutting the plug? Like Im afraid to cut it and not know what the cables on the light plug are.
@@favouritejay Got it based on your vid thanks heaps. I did everything the same i just forgot to earth each side. I did have to put some 20 fuses where my 15s for the HL were but it works!
Hey mate, after mounting as you did, all works perfect but the high light bulb in the dash doesn’t work. After some trials I notice that any small load in the low light (that you left floating) makes it work fine. Can you explain why?
Hey Cobber, we have Stedi LED lights in our 60 restoration Note they are ADR approved, if not approved RWC maybe a issue, unless you have a kind Tester ?
I definitely thought of this after I put them in (face palm). I think I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it haha. Is there anywhere I can see your 60? Insta?
The diagram was super informative. Thank you so much for posting this, I would’ve love to see how you actually wired it up though.
You didn’t miss much haha. It wasn’t glamorous
Great video I just ordered what I needed. Cheers from Texas!
Cheers man! Glad you found it useful!
You deserve more views mate . Just bought my fj60. Learned a lot from your videos.🙏🏽

Thank you mate. I appreciate the kind words

Fuck yeah bro. That’s why I do this!
I want to see the way you did the wiring and could you make a video testing the lights at night. 👍
Hey Hugo. I’ll be sure to throw a little night time driving in for you on the next video!!!
@@favouritejayhey dude, I'm trying go find this video but can't. Is it still on your page?
Can we get a vid on the wiring in please?
i think this will be the solution on my 1991 daihatsu feroza, ill wire it up and test it out this weekend and get back with the results
Good luck bro. Let me know.

Great Production also!!! crushed it
Haha thanks mate. I’m trying more and more
Hey men! Good work.
There’s one detail a bit encrypted... you connected the negative wire from the lamp directly to negative/chassis. Correct? Thanks!

So for the late reply dude. No you add these in. Don’t delete any exhausting wiring

I think those are the halo lights. I spliced them into the parkers. But I don’t use them now

That’s interesting. My high beam bulb doesn’t work either. I’ll do some research and get back to you mate.
Mate, I found the answer. Low light filament is part of the high light beam circuit… it’s clearly shown in the electric circuit book.
Hey guys, did it today on my hzj78. What’s the easiest fix to get the high beam control light in the dash working again?
hi mate how do you Wire the LED light on your Toyota landcruiser ute
Can u please make a video about the driving lights mate
Hi mate. Hit me up on @favouritejay_

Hey bro. How did you wire the driving light? Thanks!
The blue halo? I just tapped into the Parker light and that was it. I ended up not running it though.
DAMN!! ha so good.
Can you please send a link for this relay?
Hi mate. It’s just a standard 5 pin relay from any good shop. Pick the amperage of the relay based on the lights you buy. Good luck
Nice, my car a 60
Awesome! Best cars ever!
