I don't think I was as heartbroken over my ex as I was about the fact that I let them overstep my boundaries, crush my self esteem and not realising my worth. I tried so hard to make them stay, to make them want me again that I was throwing myself at them even though they were constantly hooking up with others. It irks me that I still care about them. They've shut me down, discarded me pretty much - so much for telling me that they wanted to spend their life with me. But I'm starting to realise that my forgiveness and empathy is what makes me me and that I'm worthy and loved even though I've made mistakes. Not everybody understands your value and not everybody should've access to you. I'm going to heal and I'm going to put in the effort to become better. It's a bad day, not a bad life. I was writing him a note because I wanted to let him know that I appreciated our good times and I’ve actively worked on myself over the past months and I am at a better place now. But the truth is, this would satisfy my desire to chase him one more time, even though I know that deep down inside, he is not the right person for me, and that he would never want me back again. So I decided to not give him the note, he moved on, so I should let go. I am desirable, you’re right, I want someone to naturally want me.
You can always burn the note bc it felt good anyway. You did the right thing by not sending it to him speaking from personal experience. I did the opposite when I was younger and it drove him away even tho he was an asshole.
