  • Watch this video to see how to build your new G-Rack 180 x 90 x 40cm medium duty boltless shelving unit.
    STAY SAFE |
    1) Take care during assembly by following these instructions, and limiting any hazards by using caution.
    2) Be careful when building your rack, and when using it, particularly when lifting or stretching - or when using tools.
    3) Make sure you're wearing appropriate clothing - protective gloves, and footwear are recommended.
    4) Build on a suitable level floor, which is strong enough to support the load, and allow adequate working space. Build as close as possible to where you want the shelves to go.
    5) Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
    COMPONENT CHECKLIST |
Your new unit comes flat-packed with one full shelf per box. In each box, you'll have:
    PART A | 90cm Upright ( x 8 )
    PART B | 40cm Side Beam ( x 10 )
    PART C | 90cm Front/Back Beam ( x 10 )
    PART D | 40cm Beam Tie ( x 10 )
    PART E | 90 x 40cm MDF Boards ( x 5 )
    PART F | Upright Connectors ( x 4 )
    PART G | Feet ( x 8 )
    PART H | Unit Connectors ( x 2 )
If any parts are missing or damaged - contact our customer service team by emailing info@gnoc.co.uk.
    STEP BY STEP GUIDE |
Before you begin, read through these instructions fully, use the component checklist above to check that you have everything you need for the build.
Ensure you are as close as possible to where you want to use the racks, and have a safe, level space with enough room for the build.
If you are planning on using these in a damp or humid environment, or if you think there is a chance that they will be exposed to water (either small regular amounts such as a drip or condensation, or larger incidental damage such as a flood or leak) then you should paint, varnish or stain your MDF before use.
    1) Take four 90cm upright pieces and add a foot to each end.
    2) Add an upright connector to the free end of those 4 upright pieces.
    3) Take 1 of those upright pieces and a 40cm side beam and put the tabs of the side beam into the slots on the inside of the upright
    4) Take a 90cm front/back beam and add this to the same upright at a 90 degree angle to the side beam.
    5) Insert the free end of that side beam to a second upright
    6) Take two more uprights and connect them with a second side beam to create a second side panel.
    7) take the free end of the front/back beam you have used and insert that into the upright of the side panel you have just made.
    8) Complete the base frame you have made by using a second front/back beam to connect the uprights on the open fourth side.
    9) Take a 40cm beam tie and bend the tabs at each end back to 90 degrees; this can be done by pushing against a hard surface.
    10) Slide the tabs of the beam tie through the loops on the inside of the front/back beams so that they go across the unit, giving support under the MDF boards.
    11) Place the MDF board on to the frame work.
    12) Repeat these steps for the remaining shelf tiers.
    13) You will need to complete the full height of the unit by placing the remaining four upright pieces onto the exposed end of the upright connectors
    14) Place remaining feet onto the tops of the full 180cm leg for safety.
    15) Once your unit is built, you may want to join to units together, you can do this with the bay connectors. Simply push the two units side by side so that the uprights are flush, and then hook the bay connector into the slots on the uprights of both units, so that the connector pins the uprights together.
    16) Your unit is complete
    RULES FOR SAFE USE |
Now your shelves are built and ready to use, read the below carefully and ensure that all users are aware of the rules for safe use.
These shelves are tested and guaranteed to hold 175kg per shelf when evenly loaded (a total of 875kg per unit), never over load the unit. Best practice is always to load your heavier items on the lower shelves and lighter items on the higher shelves.
Never climb on the structure, or stand on the shelving. If you need to reach the higher shelves, always use safety steps to reach the high shelves - but don't lean or support ladders, steps or other objects against the shelving.
Do not use in damp or wet conditions.
Shelving is safe when used responsibly. If in doubt give us a call.

The beam struts require securing by adding another bend to the tab when it has been fed through the slots...
