  • Today, we are testing out the absolute strongest natural weed killer that I could find to see how fast it kills some weeds! This is non-selective, so it is like RoundUp in that it kills everything it touches. In fact, if this works well, it might be an all natural homemade weed killer alternative to roundup! We'll be testing this on creeping charlie, foxtail, thistle and other weeds around my property. #roundup #weedkiller #natural

    Ya I think using a natural weed killer around swings and kid playing areas is the better way to go, great video, God bless you and your family!!!

    I got virtually the same result with 1 part 30% vinegar diluted in 5 parts water to make a gallon of 5% solution, plus a cup of salt and teaspoon of dish soap. The salt is also a potent weed killer. The 30% (non-food grade) vinegar is available at home centers and hardware stores. Get your table salt as a cheap store brand, iodine not necessary, and any dish soap.

    Man, you are nailing it for me today :D That's what I am looking for that nasty garlic mustard. Luckily it is not in my lawn but I am not a fan of glyphosate. Especially since we live on the country side with a water well.

      Yes, but be sure to squeeze lemon juice over your fish too. It'll bump up the 75% to a nice tart 85%.

      It should kill (or badly damage) like everything

    Vinegar, salt and soap work well in about 24 hours on some sedge. About 8oz used.

    Is this a total kill off of roots or just what the vinegar touches?

    • @TheLawnMentor
      @TheLawnMentor  Рік тому +1

      It varies to be honest but I would count on repeat applications with hard to kill weeds

    If I was interested in using this to do a total kill of an area, how long until I can plant something there again?

    • @TheLawnMentor
      @TheLawnMentor  Рік тому

      I honestly have no clue about that. I’d water the area again and wait until nothing green comes up again

    will this work on Johnson grass or Nutsedge?

    • @TheLawnMentor
      @TheLawnMentor  Рік тому +1

      It is non-selective so it works on everything. However, stuff with more extensive root systems like that might need several apps or some other intervention
