One of the reasons I started to skateboard was because watching Lance progress made me feel that I could progress too. Still stuck on the heelflip. If Lance came back for a visit...I would land that heelflip for sure.
I literally was watching the old videos with him in it last month. Miss that guy, hope he is doing great in life! I know he was going great places! Love you Lance!
Lance leaving early hurt the watchability for a while- then Carlos left, and what felt like the heart of the warehouse was gone. I skipped out on Braille for a while after that. What got me back into it was watching two people: Ricky Glaser and JD. Ricky seems like such a genuine person and he’s tons of fun to watch and it does seem like he just wants to learn and teach more than anything else. JD is gonna go pro. He’s got such awesome fundamentals to work with and it’s a ton of fun to watch him learn new tricks and just show off in general.
I see what you mean, for a starter Lance was the best to see the possibilities... Though for the next step of skaters the current team is a killer inspiration.
Man, what a throwback. I started watching your videos 8 years ago when I was still 16 every day after school but your videos disappeared from my feed and I didn't think anything of it. Came back years later at 24, turning 25, to realise I was somehow unsubscribed because of a youtube glitch and that the amount of nostalgia this brought back is amazing ♥
I agree with Mogley on Riding the tail when skating switch and using the nose when skating nollie and fakie. I’ve always had some type of cut out on my grip tape to distinguish the tail so I think it’s just some type of OCD or something lol! Also I was so pumped to see Mogley skating can’t wait till his back to 100% I’m ready to see a big nollie heel flip over the A-Frame or hip! Thanks for sharing
I purchased first board today! Should be to me on June first! Yall have definitely been my main inspiration well and jaws on the lyone 25, that lit my fire. So here I am, a 29 year old, who's never been on a board, giving it a go. I'm stoked.
Cruiser boards are perfect for getting balance down on a board, if you find a cheap one just to work on balance it could be done quick but you'll have to get used to the smaller size after
Lance was such a nice guy! He got me into Braille. Watching him learn new stuff and evolve in skateboarding was a blast! I'm sad he's not there anymore.
I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that watching Lance, and other skaters that are learning, battle for some for the more basic tricks is incredibly satisfying. You guys need a new Lance on the team. *slowly raises hand* 😂
Great job honoring Lance guys! You all three did amazing! Let's Gooooo Also, get in touch with Lance somehow and invite him for a full park sesh with the whole team!
Seeing Gabe take to the board and skate more than we've seen in a while was great! Wondered why suspension trucks were back but this was exactly the way to do it. Thank you :-)
My favorite skategod memory: When Aaron played a game of skate against Lance after losing to Chris Chann. Aaron needed that to build his ego back up. But also every single video with Lance in it is my favorite.
3:06 Mogley is right Gabe.... gotta go all out and Drop in on vert! even if you eat it... but you won't.. You can do it Gabe.. Show everyone what Braille is all about.. Progress over come your fears succeed!
I think I started watching when I was 14 I’m now 21 we all miss lance he got me into skating and made me believe I could kickflip he wasn’t a big pro like all the other skaters
dude you just made me think. i was 16 when I started watching but I fell off as I started skating less and getting into the real world. its cool to come back and see the stuff I missed now that I'm skating again.
Man, I miss Lance. I'd love to know if he still skates... Easily my favorite Lance moment was when he cleared 3 big blocks ollieing. I thought there was ZERO chance he'd make it so when he did, I was so pumped. lol.
Fakie = riding backwards. And yes, the nose or tail of the skateboard kind of matters, as nollie is a thing. However technically you could ride fakie without a foot on tail or nose. But your backfoot would still be leading. The stance you pop in matters when you pop and which foot you use. Ironically, when stationary, the nose or tail define 'which way you are facing', so technically Mogely _is_ correct.
I was really into skating when I was a teenager, but lost some of the will and passion throught the years... Recently been watching daily posted braille videos and you guys have inspired me to get back on the board and get in shape! Much love and respect for everything your team does! P.S. Gabe's hardflip was drippyyyy!
Watching all these videos, I'm still forming in my head who is current and who is past. But it is sad to hear that a member of the team has gone. Seems like a really cool guy that everyone loved!
I agree with Mo! Tail is for switch and regular and nose is for fakie and nollie. I would then skate my board so the hardest trick had the board the right way round. Regular 180 to fakie big trick, the regular 180 would have the board backward so it was the right way round for the fakie trick. The thing I struggle with is fakie tricks to grinds or slides. A fakie to nose slide I have to see as a switch tail. If I see it as a regular noseslide, the world falls in on itself
Appreciate your guys content. Found you guys a few weeks ago and have been watching aton. I dislocated my shoulder a few years back and haven’t skated much since, just snowboard. But you make me wanna get back out there and do my old fav trick, fakie big spin
What's wild... Gabe is in Lance's shoes, but ALSO who remembers when Gabe was in JDs shoes? Gabe was basically Aaron's main homie tiny dude an Lance. It was always those 3 to me
23:47 i def position the board as if its mirroring my regular stance. IF im thinking about the trick, or if im just doing it by itself, but im with ricky where if ur doing it in a line, you kinda just go with whichever way the board is.
You know you guys are amazing making videos every day, Ive been on out of town job site doing demolition, now that I’m home I get to watch a couple new videos I haven’t seen yet , everyone keep er up 🔥🔥
All regular and fakie done on the tail, nollie and switch done one the nose. It's more balanced truck wise with the way you would naturally stand know a board and your board will ride more true and level.
I have these on my penny nickel for cruising around town, and I must say. I'm blessed to have them for that purpose. I'm not into tricks or any so I can't really judge on that but for cruising it smooths out a lot of vibration
Not gunna lie suspension trucks might be for you gabe crisp popped tricks 🤙🏼 Get it brother 💪🏽 I’ve been watching for years (I’m now 32 ) a reunion would be sick to see
Another thanks for the uploads.. got through another long day of panic/anxiety attacks because of yall. Still got a couple more hourse left of the day but thanks for getting me this far
Someone here isn't no more about keeping tricks alive ! Great to see. My favorite sk8 memorie was at school, a 1 foot clean ollie at first ever try. Not so imoressive since I had to climb stairway like, 100 time a day, 20y ago. Then I start to smoke ... messing with my balance skills, legs punch. I'm ok now. And I hope I'm wrong when someone in the team remind that wrongness (Fr)
huh, i assumed lance DID drop in from time to time but never showed up on camera knowing we would all demand he come back, its sort of sad that he has NEVER returned at all. lance was all of us at some point.
@@Mike-wc3jo that makes it even worse because it seemed more like family of a really close friend circle. i think he went far away and probably hasnt been back to california at all.
About that ideology - I'm 31 and I just got back into skating after more than 10 years off from it. I take my nose and my tail very seriously. I ripped my grip tape so I always know where the tail is very clearly. When I'm doing something nollie or fakie, I always make sure I'm on the proper nose and not the backwards tail. Fundamentally - I learned my tricks differently because nollie and fakie are very different because of momentum and leverage. So I see doing it on the nose as a completely different trick with different muscle memory that I learned differently.
Ive always only popped off my nose for nollie. Been thinking about trying to pop off nose switch, so tail is always by my right foot and nose is always by left foot.
Nice video. I've just uploaded my first kickflip land, its really sketchy. I was wondering if you fine skaters out there had any tips so I can land them more comfortably?? Thanks in advance
I’m the same way, I usually only use my tail but on the mini ramp I’ll use my nose so my back foot has more room and tail stalls feel better to me 🤷🏻♂️
i owned a pair of these about 5 years ago. i used them on my cruiser and the back truck snapped across the front bolt holes. maybe it was a defect in the pair i had. i don't know what metal composition they use but if they've improved on design, material, or maybe both i'd love to get another pair. but at the time the base seemed thin and i never felt comfortable buying another pair.
I just got back into skating a couple years ago. Im always touching the ground and or bending so far down to pop tricks. i tried not to last session and it did not go wwell
Seeing Gabe on the deck more and more makes me happy. Cool trucks, well done guys.

original brail watchers miss lance every single video… it’s literally never been the same
it really was a system shock when he left.
I will admit when Lance left I took a break from watching the Videos for bit. But Gabe stepped up and really got me back into the videos.
Lance leaving early hurt the watchability for a while- then Carlos left, and what felt like the heart of the warehouse was gone. I skipped out on Braille for a while after that.

I was just watching those old Lance videos. They made me wanna skate way more than almost any Braille videos since then.

Wow ya what the heck YT is hating on skating the last couple of years. I think they pinned it as dangerous or something silly
I came to Braille late in the game but have since gone back and watched Lance videos, his progression was amazing on this Channel.

Yea for sure, watch some super old videos he was out there killin it.
