This could make for a fun dice game.. 6 trucks 6 weird boards roll the dice to see what you get. These are a great idea its amazing no one has thought of it before.
For _wheels_ something like this makes sense to me (except, it shouldn't remove the trucks obviously). For trucks it really doesn't make nearly as much sense to me at all to be honest. I change wheels much more often than I change trucks and the wheels depend on the terrain I'm skating. When I snap a skateboard, I would have swapped my old trucks to go on to my new deck anyway. The time saved there is actually zero, not to mention how you wouldn't leave these adapters on your broken deck. You'd remove them. So again, zero benefit there. I also generally do no trust these types of systems when it comes to impact forces and it coming loose. But I'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt. But mostly because I do not do advanced stuff or high impact stuff on my skateboards, so I wouldn't be the kind of skater that would have these come undone. We do need a Qwik Wheels system though. I'd buy an adapter that allows to quickly switch wheels instantly.
@@PHeMoX sizing wheel size to trucks is actually pretty important. I use 52mm wheels on Tensor lows and my 56 or bigger wheels on regular Indy's with our QliK System. Big wheels on low trucks wheel bite, Ride whatever you like! That's the beauty of skateboarding. 🤙🏼
@@PHeMoX You’d have the adapters on your new deck so when you snap your board you can take the trucks off quick and then snap them into your new board. It comes with multiple adapters so you can keep them on a fresh deck until your board snaps. That’s the whole point.
@@PHeMoX You entirely missed the point if you think there is “zero time saved.“ When I’m skating at the park or street I have an extra deck in my car because I snap boards so often. I’d have the adapters on my new deck that’s in my car so that if I snap my board I can just put my trucks onto the new deck almost instantly. These would be so useful because when I’m at a spot and snap my board I hate having to swap the trucks especially if I’m in the middle of trying a trick or don’t have a lot of time before I get kicked out. You either missed the point or don’t skate.
I'm so hyped to see you guys killing it on the system! I love my set so much! The opportunities are endless!!can't wait to see what you guys do in the future!
These will be so useful for video part skate tricks, when a pro breaks their board it takes a long time to set another one up this is genius, people could also switch their trucks around for fun at the skatepark.
Glad to see innovation in the industry. Also, no way am I adding four riser pads each made out of alloy (I noticed they used those Tensor maglight lows because of the weight) to my setup just so my trucks can be removed without a tool. Although...it would make switching from soft cruiser to harder wheels easier on the same deck.
Totally right on the Tensors! THE best trucks for small 52mm-ish wheels using the QliK System. These trucks enable a really low stance with our system, and it's all still lower and lighter than Indy's!
the man needs to team up with one of the composite board companies to inset these plates into one of the models of their boards and then get his own truck going so the plate is built in and not a riser... its a great idea, just needs a little more refinement.
Revolutionary, it's like in surfing 🌊 when swappable fins came in and then clickable fins. Now clickable fins are pretty much standard. I can see this system as becoming standard in the future. Well done Sir. 🤙
it's cool but long term it's not going to hold up well enough. I think it's great for casual skaters who want to play around with different boards within a certain size range though. When it comes to the gnarly stuff pro skaters do this could never be a standard system. Too much force going on there brotha.
@@biga2 It's likely you haven't seen these. In testing we've destroyed countless decks and multiple trucks to create a product that outlasts your other parts. I understand it's hard to believe, but it's the truth. This took a VERY long time to develop and perfect. I hope you get to try them out some time and see for yourself. Cheers 🤙🏼
I understand your scepticism, but man...the technology these days is far more advanced then we think. With robotic processes and super prosition and thats the top of the iceberg. I'm sure the guys at Qwik Trucks would have over engineered this product.
It's pretty fun...did you realize you can even use em for electric trucks? Snap in a Mellow board or Revel kit and motor across town to the skate spot....then throw in your regs for the session 🤙🏼
This is dope. I just got into skating and I'm already growing an obsession with different decks so these would be fire to have so I could quickly switch my loadout. Real nice!
Quick trucks are cool! I have one board... And like a different setup on the park than the street, i could just carry my cruiser trucks and swap them for my park trucks
I love this idea. I don't know how useful it is for most skaters, but I can almost imagine carrying a set of trucks for riding on rough terrain and then a separate set of trucks for when you get to a park/smooth concrete and you just switch out. Don't know if that's more practical that carrying a whole extra board setup, or just taking the time to switch wheels. But it's a cool idea nonetheless. Oh okay! I was thinking about switching trucks, but having one set of trucks and switching between different board shapes simultaneously makes a lot of sense too!
Oh that sounds like a great use case. I was thinking how nice it would be to have a separate set of wheels for cruising and one for the skatepark, would work pretty well with those mounting plates.
It seems to work really well. The real usefulness of these seems to be if you have tons of the clips set up already so probably more aimed at hard-core skaters who are constantly needing to switch/replace their equipment on the fly
i dont care what anyone say this is genius i got friends who swap trucks for skating transition and street this would save them like 10 15 mins at the park everyday which doesn't seem like a lot but a bunch o things can happen in ten minutes
I see a challenge where, like a pit stop, someone has to do a Vert stall of some kind, and a crew of dudes has to swap out the Skaters entire setup up like a Nascar.rally/race. Using these trucks of course!
Hey Braille skateboarding! Can you do a game of mix and match trucks skate with these qwik trucks and each player rolls 2 dice one for the front truck and the other for the back! Ride ride ride!
Dang, Ricky's knock off the truck trick with Sean putting the new truck on could be a commercial for these things. Put some music to that and let them sell themselves.
