  • Educational and detailed instructions of How to make a Double Cobra Bracelet or Belt - using an emergency buckle that comes with both a fire starter and a whistle.
    For the Bracelet I used:
    2 x 2,5m (8 feet) camouflage paracord
    1 x 2,5m (8 feet) green paracord
    1 green "emergency buckle"
    and for the Belt:
    2 x 10m (32 feet) pink paracord
    1 x 10m (32 feet) black paracord
    1 black "emergency buckle"
    If you're looking for similar buckles you can find them at Amazon and eBay:

    I think when it is cold again and i am stuck indoors in a blizzard I might make myself one of these Double Cobras. I have a single one, but so far no patience to make a double. I can certainly tell you are a good teacher. Comes through in your instructions.

    Another great tutorial, very easy to follow. Really like the way you finished off the cord next to the second buckle - this is the bit I always struggle with. Not tried the double Cobra before, but will have to give it a try.

    melt and flatten the ends of the paracord, it keeps the cord from unraveling and easier to put through the buckle. forceps or fids make it easier to pass the cord through tight places

    Emelie, I just watched a knife show review and came across a knife that reminded me of you. It's called the lioness and it's made by Top knives. it's hot pink and black and the shape is truly sleek and sexy. I looked up lioness elite and it's the first or second knife that was visible as I scanned the videos...

    Excellent tutorial. I'm pretty sure I could make one of those now, despite tangled cords (and specifically electrical cables) being my evil nemesis. Am guessing you're an excellent teacher (and no doubt break a few hearts). What is the context of the proverb by the way? Is it like "the lights are on but there's nobody home" for someone intellectually brain-dead sort of thing or is it more like "there's no point flogging a dead horse" meaning it's useless to continue with a pointless task or lost cause? Thanks for sharing another excellent video :)

    Hi Emelie, my question is about length. I'l try to write in English this time but dont look the errors. In bracelet video you say 4x4m of corde, the description below say 2x2,5 + 1x2,5 (?), the belt i dont see your video but on Facebook picture it's to long for you, so the premier question is, is there a charte of some kind that tell us what length of corde for different length of object. (I hope you see or understand what i mean )

      +Survival Bushcraft with Emelie yes you mentioned you used 4m of each colour. How long was the finished bracelet (measured from the join of the two buckle parts) and how much cord did you have left? It would help me as I have some odd lengths of some particular colours I would like to use.

    • @survivalbushcraftwithemelie
      @survivalbushcraftwithemelie  8 років тому

      +Bob_the_Bomb The bracelet is to big for me. It's 20cm. And I don't remember how much paracord was left. I believe it was almost 1m. But it all depends on how much you tighten it :)
