I use the file on my Leatherman tool to "smooth" the melted paracord. This leaves a texture that is not as reflective as the flat smoothing tool leaves.
Hi there Victoria. First off I make more than belts. Dog/cat leash, dog/cat harness, dog/cat collars, hat bands, lanyards of any length, zipper pulls, key chains, bracelets, purse handles. Well just to many to name them all. But just about for anything. A belt is tricky, because, you need a buckle, and the colors people want. But for example for a one color belt it's .80$ per inch, two colors is .90$ per inch and three colors for 1.00$ per inch minus the buckle. Then again I would need the buckle be for I start.
Hello...great video....so the lead that goes through the core...what is the formula for that....its a 51 inch belt so....you use how much per inch?....thank you!!
They say for a cobra weave it's 1 foot per inch. So 51" would be 51 feet, that's for one cobra weave, but this is a double cobra weave. Then you have 51" times 2 for the core, which is a different color. I think sometimes the calculation is wrong. Because I have way to much waist sometimes at the end. That's for asking. Are you looking for subs to your channel????
I cut pieces of cord 45" long, as mentioned at beginning of video, then when you do a cow hitch around the buckle you find you have only half that length, and it doesn't go round your 34 " waist! Need clarity on exactly what lengths these cord pieces are. I think it must all be doubled to 90" per cord in its full length?
Sorry for the info on the belt. The best way is to take one foot of cord and make as many cobra stitches as you can. You will find its about 1 inch so 1 foot for 1 inch. Now plus a belt is double cobra weave. And 40 some inches of core cord. Hope this helps.
@@NomadicVanman Don't understand what "Now plus" means. The sentences you give are still not clear to me. Best idea would be to give the lengths of each individual piece of cord needed. Thanks.
@@franc238 He's saying, "now plus" to point out that it's a double weave. So what he's trying to say is that you need to use the initial measurements for each side, because it's a double cobra. You're going to need a core that's the size you want. Then approximately 1 foot of outer cord for every inch your core is. In metric that's about 30.5 cm of outer cord to every 2.5 cm of core cord.
Thank you for stopping by. Looking for something made of paracord, just email me. nomadicvanman1@gmail.com
Very nice with a very clean finish. How many feet of cord did you end up using?
That was awesome Wayne I really enjoyed that and it’s quite complex
I don't understand why my notifications don't work every time.

Thanks for that.
What is the inner size of the buckle? For a length of 110cm, what are the sizes of each color?
Can you recommend some book or channel to learn these knots and stuff? Please and thank you
UA-cam is your best friend for that. Just type in paracord knots. Or whatever you are making. For example paranoid bracelet. Good luck.
Nice
At a regular pace, how long would the belt take to finish?.
Sorry for the late reply. I think you could make one in two day. Or one if you keep at it for about 8 to 10 hours.
How much paracord is required for a 45 inch belt
About one foot per inch. So 45 inches would be about 45 feet of cord. This is with the cobra weave.
