Hi friends hope you enjoyed the video ☺️ I wanted to share in advance - the plants behind me are hanging on pot clips! (amzn.to/35ZRc5t) they’re super sturdy and I love them so far. You need to have a terra cotta pot with a lip in order to use them. I will be sharing all of the details of my sunroom in an upcoming video! ☀️✨ Love you all!
Are you aware that the making of ceramic pollutes our air, water and soil? I never buy plastic or ceramic pots because I want a clean environment, it would be nice if more people actually acted responsible and stopped buying products that pollute the environment.
My place to go for pots are trift stores! I live in the Netherlands and here we have lots of great pots in the 2hand stores. I tend to either put my plants in nursery pots in them or drill a hole in the coverpots! I would say 90% of my pots are from there.😁🌿💚
Hello, ceramic artist here! I don't know what type of background you have in clay but you did an awesome job talking about it in your video! I appreciate the time you take to research the topic you are discussing before making a video.
She did not talk about all the pollution caused by making ceramic pots. Google pollution from ceramic pots and learn how it pollutes our air water and soil.
I am loving this sunroom setup you’ve got going on. The lighting, the pots on the wall EVERYTHING about this is super esthetically pleasing! So excited to watch you carve your cave out in your new home! Also, this video is super helpful. Very well said.
Thank you for this video! I'm at my max with plants and want to start focusing on dressing them up in cute pots. So this helps a ton! All of your pots are so cute!
Me and my 11 year old daughter love watching your videos, your beautiful happy face puts a smile on ours! Can’t wait to see a tour of the new house! Sending love from the UK xx
I love ceramic pots! They might be a bit expensive but I like to use the ceramics from Nomliving to place my plants in there. Such a minimalistic and nice design! Enjoy your day Becca! 🌿💚 Luke
I love this! Most of my plants are in glazed or plastic pots, but I’m slowly starting to add in more terra cotta for my lithops and sansevierias. I’ve also been adding more terra cotta look alike plastic pots, including one that I’m going to use for my monstera deliciosa cutting with some De La Tanks soil!!
I just visited Tucson from New York. During our trip we did a greenhouse shopping day and went to Green Things because of your videos ! It is a beautiful place and I bought a bunch of the talavera terra-cotta and white pots that you showed. I liked them so much we went back the next day and bought more. They really are so beautiful. I use a mix of terra-cotta and white ceramic pots for my plants.
Hi Becca! I was born in Tucson AZ, and later went to U of A to study veterinary science! I love seeing cacti/the desert in your videos. I know you just moved, but I feel an AZ connection with you :) I just wanted to let you know that I have loved watching you/your channel/your plants grow over the past couple of years. You were pivotal in my decision to start my own plant channel and so I just wanted to say Thank you!
I hear you on the plastic pot for big plants. I decided I wanted my Norfolk pine to be in a 12-in terracotta . I keep it on top of a terracotta saucer on top of a roll around plant stand so when I want to give it a really good deep watering I roll it across the house to the bathroom lift it into the bathtub water it and after watering really have to put some muscles into lifting it back out onto the stand to wheel it back.
I water every plant exactly you do by carrying them to the kitchen sink and putting an oven rack over the sink so that the water can drip down more easily BUT for the large plants I have I put the oven rack over a bucket next to the plant and just put the plant on top so that I don’t have to carry it around the house but can still throughly water it 💁🏻♂️
Thank you so much this video is super helpful!! I love this channel! I can't wait to get some pots for my new plant babies. Self proclaimed newbie, plant lover. Only able to have kept Snake plants alive, had some for years. just recently bought 2 cast iron, and 3 small ones- a Janet craig, snake plant, and white butterfly. I'm curious about getting terracotta pots, but I prefer a white Aesthetic. Have you ever white washed terracotta pots? I would love a video on how to white wash terracotta pots!
Personally I plant everything in plastic cache pots and place them in a decorative pot! It helps me monitor the moisture Because I know everything is in plastic. It also makes it very easy to water because I don't pick up/break any of my pottery. I also can choose ones without holes in the bottom too because I have cache pots with drainage
Love your collection Becca so many cool artist I need to check out. Ur the first person I have heard say to pot per the size of the roots, thank you! As a newbie all you hear is go up a size but that didn't make sense once I started seeing the roots and killing my poor babies. Oh the lessons I've learned in 3 months. Love your channel, content and You! Have a fantastic weekend.
You're killing it with these videos lady! Fantastic video! Great collection! I follow half of the people mentioned and can never get a pot because they sell out so dang fast, lol. Much love, Becca!♥️
Yes I absolutely love terracotta. They grey/white terracotta is my favorite but I love the orange too. That's what most of my plants are in except for my plants in lecca or moss. I have self watering pots for my lecca & my plants in moss I have in glass containers with lecca at the bottom. I agree with you I hate ceramic pots I think they are very tacky. I plan on getting on those clear orchid pots soon I love the look of them! Also your antherium warq. Is beautiful it's my dream plant but the prices right now won't let me fulfill that dream. One day 🤣
That spider is getting you into the Halloween spirit 👻. Enjoyed all the pots. I basically stick to terra cotta. I too like how they all just blend together.
the very red terracotta is often referred to the Tuscany terracotta it is the original dark heavy in iron oxide. But it doesn't mean that all terracotta from Italy is that color or all terracotta from Mexico is one color it really depends on the mineral content of the clay. It's iron oxide that makes it red. some companies will add in other odd additives that make it more of a dark brown black or gray color . I believe the process is through oxidization when firing that turns at that color but I don't know enough about that
I wonder, if you paint your own terracotta pot using acrylic paint, what can you can use to seal it, that still allows it to absorb the moisture without ruining the paint?
When a terracotta pot is completely glazed/painted and sealed, is it essentially like a ceramic one or does it still have some of the benefits as terracotta? I have some terracotta pots I was wanting to paint but I’m not sure 🤔

Wow wow this means so much!! Glad to hear that from a ceramic artist. Thank you ❤️

Aww thank you so much!!! It’s definitely so lovely in there, can’t wait to show the process for it all ☺️
According to auto-generated subtitles, you put a little "dish idiot" in that sugar skull lol
Lolol!!! 😂😂
I think I have an equal amount of terracotta and white glazed ceramics, I think those two complement each other so beautifully! 💚✨
Thank you for this video! I'm at my max with plants and want to start focusing on dressing them up in cute pots. So this helps a ton! All of your pots are so cute!
That’s exactly why I turned to pots! Got too many plants and can’t have more 😂

This corner is looking fantastic!

That’s awesome!! Terra cotta look alike is the best. So exciting about the soil, I hope you love it :)
i'm a ceramic artist and making planters is my favorite thing to make!

Loved this video! I’m working on switching over to mostly terra cotta one plant at a time as I need to repot.

I've been on the hunt for a unique terracotta pottery!! Thank you so much for all the information and links!
Nice selection there Becca. Love the look of the 2 hoyas in their short 'squat ' ceramic pots.
What a beautiful collection! Just finished watching and will go plant pot shopping online :D
Yaaay!! ☺️☺️
Plastic is my favourite! It’s easy to tell when to water with weight and I always get mould on terra cotta pots even though I have good airflow.
I water every plant exactly you do by carrying them to the kitchen sink and putting an oven rack over the sink so that the water can drip down more easily BUT for the large plants I have I put the oven rack over a bucket next to the plant and just put the plant on top so that I don’t have to carry it around the house but can still throughly water it 💁🏻♂️
I too like to take each plant one by one to the sink to water and wash their leaves... it's so relaxing...
Love your plant lay out in the background 😁
That plant wall hook is amazing!! I love the floating look of your pots! Thank you for telling us all about your pots! 😀
Wow!!! Thanks for sharing your time, tips and ideas for taking care plants and potting.. great content I love it..see you again soon my friend 💓

Love your collection of pottery specially the one from your friend in Tuscan
☺️
That was perfect spider music!
That background 😍

Ooooooh okay okay!!! This is insightful info. I had no idea about the iron oxide additive to change the color. Thank you :)

This video definitely helps👍🏻🌿
Yay, a topic I requested 🤠
I so love watching you !! Shout out here in the Philippines:)
Cute pots~
Now days, i just get terra cotta pots, i try not to mess with the ceramic pots.
Me too! I’ve killed one too many plants in plastic pots and using terra cotta pots really helped me know when to water my plants
Same! 😳

Great pots...and I love the spider incident lol
Lolol!
In those clear pots what do you look for to check if the soil is becoming compact?
What are those terra cotta pot holder you use on the walls?! I love them
amzn.to/35ZRc5t these pot clips!
Great video. Thanks!
❤️❤️
Nice video!
Great information on pots. Do you have trouble repotting when the pot is shaped in a way that the opening is smaller than the rest of the pot?
Sometimes, yes 😳 but you just go slow! And it helps if the soil is wet.
Idk if it's just me but usually I don't care too much about pots until I find those perfect ones for my plants and just have to get them. 😂
Hahah that’s how I was!!! But now I’m kinda obsessed 😂
How did you hang the pots on the wall??
Pot clips!! Link here > amzn.to/35ZRc5t
lol spider taking “webcam” a little too seriously
