You could mount a Landing Gear in the tracks right inbetween your foot pedals and the drive unit, and the new crossbar has gear track on top, which is where your fish finder could mount, centered. And you have the big handles in the back to wheel it around.
Great video Mark I still think Old Town should make a two-man version have the spot lock motor in the front and have the pedals in the back you can fish all day without worrying the battery goes dead so that way you can fish with a friend or fish with your kid and so that way you could teach them to fish and to love the outdoors and to teach them it's not about how fast you get there it's about the experience getting there
Hey Mark you should bring that awesome kayak up here to Lake Houston and see if you can get on some of these white bass or the crappie white bass are running and the crappie are starting to spawn
I wonder if gluing some rare earth magnets to the boat/measuring board would hold it down a little better and prevent it from getting knocked in by an excited fish/fisherman?
Wow, I've never seen someone get a fin all the way through the finger, ouch. Great video editing. I love how you are not passing judgement until you've used the vessel for a while. I try my best not to compare it to my old platform. Instead I let the new one grow on me. I want to see how effective it can be for fishing in general. After a solid month or two of use. I’m usually well equipped with first hand experience to know if it’s worthy of staying in the garage.

Marine Lithium Ion batteries oh yeah! I put $1K dent on my piggy bank for 2 batteries, (1 main | 1 aux) pricey, no regrets worth every penny, lets say it's peace of mind knowing your engine will start all the time. For you kayak users with trolling motors I'm assuming you can go 10 miles easy, if you don't abuse it.
Quick question does the Ipilot on the old town have ipilot link so you can integrate the Humming Bird which would allow to to auto pilot way points and select spots on the graph and troll over and auto spot lock?

Just giving a heads up. A TEXAS Game Warden told me that the new Old Towns are considered motorboats. Now they must have a bow light (red/green) and they are still waiting on an opinion requiring a fire extinguisher. You must also have a sound device.
Not true. One should look up the law in Texas. It's considered a kayak and when registering it, one will find this out by vessel type description on their title.
When you add the trolling motor, it now becomes a motorboat. tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/boat/owner/titles_and_registration/ All non-motorized canoes, kayaks, punts, rowboats, or rubber rafts (regardless of length) or other vessels under 14 feet in length when paddled, poled, oared, or windblown. Adding an outboard or trolling motor to one of these types requires titling and registration.
