I just changed both bucket assemblies on my 2011 and the grille is actually very easy to remove, if you have to. it only adds a few minutes to the job, which doesn't bother most DIY'ers at home. and you can give the chrome a good cleaning while it's off..I got my 1st mechanic job in 1985. these Chevy trucks are still relatively easy to work on.
Thx. I had to do the turn signal below that. A bit tougher but your instructions worked perfect. Five minutes done. However. I replaced both front and rear bulbs and still have the rapid flash. Grr 😱
This video actually makes it a lot harder than what you really have to do because you only have to take off that 1 screw and remove the sleeve and the Bub is right there with enhanced reach so no need to take off all the rest of the unnecessary bots.
Yep , that's the trick. I put that bulb off for weeks looking at it like its going to be a pain in the ass. Scanned your video, was done in 5 minutes. Thumbs up
I just changed my driver side bulb, you don’t have to unscrew anything lol, my bulb came out there is plenty of room, it went back as easily as it came out lol
Just did mine. Was about to follow his instructions and was like what the heck let me just try it first and my hand fit fine with out having to do any of this 😬
@@peteharmony6024 ok I wouldn’t say it fit fine, but was wide enough to get my hand through, and was able to use my fingers to twist the bulb and pull out without having to removing everything else. You should have plenty of slack to pull the clip/bulb.
i added a dab of anti seize to all the threads on the 10 mm bolts...mine were really tight when i took them out...should be easy the next time to remove them.
I changed mine today. I got the same truck. All I had to do is twist out the bulb going through where you said you would hit that core support. I didn't have to Loosen ANY screws. You just have to turn the bulb counter clockwise and pull it out at an angle and you will not hit that "Core support." But hey whatever works, right?
Passenger side just remove air filter box and it's simple. I agree, many of us don't remove anything for drivers side low beam. High beam is different.
I’m guessing you’re not going to be towing or hauling anything. Just daily driving a giant piece of ugly and poorly constructed metal around with a big chunk of rapidly decaying lithium at the bottom. lol 😅
I'm a 60 year old female and these instructions are PERFECT ! Thank you, am sure you saved me a ton of unnessary costs. Absolutely fabulous !!!!!!!
Thank you so much you’re a life saver. I thought I had to take off all this stuff just for a light bulb. I really appreciate the help
Thank you so much for this video.
I'm young and still learning about trucks. I'm proud to say that with your tutorial, I did it on my own.

I was able to get my bulb out and in without using the socket and just taking the shroud off, thanks for helping me out!
Thanks for the video, about to change mine. Thanks! **Update...I didn't even have to loosen the bolt in the fender well to get mine out.**

Can you show the link or video? We need that
You can also loosen the bolt on the washer bottle and that will help you move the neck of it around

thank you for taking the time to make this video 👊💯😎

Holy cow.

You guys have women hands if it fit in there haha
Omg!!! That was super easy!!!
Thanks!

Great video! Thank you, had to do my buddy’s headlights and was wondering if I’d have to take everything apart!!
great video. The only thing that is not mentioned is you have to remove the battery too/
Your video helped me out a lot
Does this same method work for the passenger side?
or you can reach in from top and change out, I just did this on a 2011,took me 3 minutes. 2 minutes getting package of new light open
Thanks MAn !! Done !!
Heck yeah! God Bless and stay safe.
Thanks for the video man. Was really helpful.

The one on the driver side u can do super easy and fast without taking anything apart... the one in the passenger side is a different story
you must have small hands
Passenger side just remove air filter box and it's simple. I agree, many of us don't remove anything for drivers side low beam. High beam is different.
If I lay under my 11 lml I can reach all the way up and just pop the bulbs out and put them back in ezpz don't have to remove my airbox
Nope got bigger hands than normal plp size 13 ring
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the info was really easy I just shouldn't have done it on A-day it was a 100゚
Thanks for the vid man real good help
I have a 2010 basically the same. My hand can reach down and change the lowbeam bulb without removing anything.
You got these people doing way to much bro lol it comes right out
Nice work!...thank you for making it simple brother.
Very nice
someone stole your battery!
Thanks, man.
What I do is just remove the battery and you have enough space to take out the bulb with out taking out the whole head off
5 min fix thanks
Us lazy men do it the easiest and quickest way possible. Thanks for the video.
Thanks helped me on both headlights of my chevy truck.
All I did was reach behind and unscrew the bulb, pop it out and replace and screw back in…
Just did the same thing although the passenger side looks a lot tougher.I'll worry about that one when it goes out. Thanks!
Except I have a a 3500- so that empty battery spot isn’t empty.
And this is maybe the worst bulb replacement I’ve ever experienced! (Gen X)
I'm looking for another vehicle partly due to this nonsense design
Piss poor design POS Chevy, cyber truck is my next vehicle

Selll it and buy a ford
U don't need to do all of that
Thanks for the video!! It was great
