The 2 ki bars Z-burst dash wouldn't be an issue if they actually made the Dragon Dash noticeably faster. It's my only complain along with the health bar bug ofc.
after some testing I have figured how DP battle counts who wins on timeout. Winner is the player with more of the % of total health pool left at the end. Two identical teams with team 1 doing more damage but team 2 switching to let the damaged character heal resulted in team 2 victory. Second was 50k total vs 80k total. 50k did 357 damage to 80k and won. So total hp left is not the winning cause. Third was again 50k vs 80k. 50k took 371 damage (0,742%) and 80k took 601 (0,75125%) of total health pool victory going to 50k team because of 0.01% hp total difference. Last one 50k took 8218dmg and 80k took 9626 damage but let the character heal up. If it was damage based then 50k should still win but 80k won because the character healed up enough to get their total hp % higher. So doing more damage didn't result in victory. I also added a test where 50k hp team does 40k hp damage and downs one of the enemy team. they still lose if they take over 50% of their total pool even without downed characters. I added this test just to see if downing a character has bonuses. Replicating these 'fights' yielded the same results every time. You're doing great content and i hope this helps even if a little.
Changes still needed: 1.- Revert z-burst nerf 2.-Make super counter lock you out for 1-2 seconds when missing it, so it becomes a skillful mechanic and not one you can just spam and have a high success rate. 3.-Give ki sickness after insta spark 4.-Reduce the sensibility of charged smash attack mid combos, this new mechanic is causing combos to drop a lot by accident. 5.-Revert the added invinsibility frames on sidesteps, they were already strong, now they are almost spammable. Then we are golden. 6.-(Opcional). Reduce the dmg of wild sense and make it add damage scaling so the following super doesnt do 100% dmg, somewhere between 20-40% scaling.
It is funny that since ki is more important now, cooler base got a slight buff (not meaning hp buff since I hardly see a difference, probably got aVERY small buff). The transformation gives full ki gauge so it aint too bad to start in base. Maybe the best part of the patch is making smaller teams viable. My team totally isnt super meta but I had fun doing cooler base, frieza (early final form) and recoome which is fun lore wise. Frieza too gets full ki gauge with just 1 skill point transformation and has insta spark (could also switch to golden frieza ”base form” which has an insane ulti and insta spark so gotta try that!) So i have two potential 7 dp characters with great ki blasts and then recoome with insta spark and false courage. I might also mix this up to get frieza 3rd form to have slight hp buff in the first transformation but it does slow down a bit my insta sparking goal but not too much. But that means I could get adult gohan instead of recoome and have that sweet dp7 possibility, full charge and MASENKOOOO which is an insane way to punish people and easy damage

Ssj4 Goku’s ‘all I need is 5 seconds’ buff is cheaper and stronger than ever, and with the weird glitch going on with the health Regen, at the end of the match you can really catch players off guard with a full hp ssj4 Goku. I’ve downed 2 characters at 60 seconds left, from a losing position (maybe cause of the bug, but other players abuse it too so it evens out), just off of his buff and setting up supers properly.
@14:23 that wasn't a rage quit. If you are on PC, there is a connection error bug that has been known and they addressed , not fixed the issue. Gonna watch this vid a bit later. Just wanna say: I think the new win conditions work like ufc fights. Whoever does better overall wins the match. And I think the 60 second health regen is a comeback mechanic to force aggressive gameplay. Overall I absolutely love the patch
The win condition has not changed. It is still same as previously. all your characters HP are counted in one big pool and whoever has more% of the total damage left at the end wins.
@@teistensean7227 i thought it was a bug too. but seems like the win condition is based on who plays better overall. that makes me think its a comeback mechanic to force more aggressive gameplay. I played 20 matches with it and each match i was trying to down all my opponents characters before the last 60 seconds. I never played like that before the patch, it forces aggressive gameplay and boxing because trying to stall out your opponent could lead you to losing
my only “counter” to passiveness being incentivized has been by picking characters with every single good heavy hit in their combos. super goku ss1 is really oppressive with his moveset, he has wild sense, and a good skill buff that regens his ki. wild sense helps me by punishing other ppls passiveness by allowing me to play their game better, by charge ki, spam blasts, and waiting them out till they have to rush me, and when they do they will be punished by my wild sense or by vanishing their vanish. the skill buff allows me to be more aggressive ofc, and if i get 3 skp while i have wild sense, good lord u can even get a free sparking. love him so far and sometimes feel bad for opponents.
I will be honest and say I enjoy the update overall, I think we just need to adapt to the new playstyle. I went on a 16 win streak on DP and 25 win streak on singles. btw Alan, you should REALLY try out Baby on DP, I think he is actually VERY GOOD, he gains full ki with each transformation, and they all cost 1 only, good rush chains, decent ki blasts, EXPLOSIVE WAVE and a 7 DP.
I genuinely love the patch. I was hating on it until I played. Went on a good win streak last night, every match was constant boxing and felt so fun. Even fighting giants was fun for the first time ever. Just feels like a more complete game
Honestly man my biggest takeaway from the update is that at the very least, the devs are listening or at least aware of what players are unhappy with. Sure, some of this stuff should have been in at launch but if anything this gives me way more hope that the game will be continue to receive updates
I appreciate your content and the videos are always great, but this game is just worse now higher dp characters in singles now just have a more inherent advantage because now you can’t press them to put pressure on them they’re allowed to just gather ki and end you in 2 supers or you can’t approach whis or ui Goku from behind anymore to bypass instant dodge the game is now much worse.
@ I’m trying my man lol but it’s not going well at all I’m losing to people who have no concept of combo extensions the 50/50 with it or combo resets. The new super charge hit mechanics making drop combos because the game thinks I’m trying to knock them back but I’m not and I swear they increased the super counter window
Honestly the 2 ki bar dash aint even that bad now that i gor used to it, and my combo loops have evolved a lot, honestly they might even be better now, but combos do drop more often now, which i hate
I do agree with this. My combo variety has changed drastically. Originally I was decent at combos but my main goal was to aim for aggressive resets I barely used supers pre patch. Post patch I use supers way more to makeup for the damage I would’ve got with my resets and not to mention I can still do the reset just not as aggressively unless I’m in sparking mode. It’s a double edged sword.
I'm loving this new patch! The game feels so different now and I'm enjoying having to relearn the overhauled mechanics. I've been running through A-Rank in singles and I already see the difference. Players are all having to relearn mechanics and trying to discover new advantages. I'm seeing a lot of smart players abusing the dodge I-frames now, and one Android 17 player I fought was an absolute menace. Androids are eating this patch. One piece of advice I can offer you while watching your gameplay is that you should try throwing more directional smash attacks. I notice you pause for a second when you land a sweep or heavy finisher for the reset, but I believe you can also throw a slightly delayed directional smash to resume the combo and still get the reset. Might have to test this. You can also chain directional smash attacks from all directions without knocking down the opponent for some extra damage. Power characters benefit the most from the damage output of the smashes iirc. Smashes in general have been buffed with this patch so definitely add them to your toolset if you haven't already!
I don’t feel like the range is as much of an issue as it seems. The new dragon dash is better than people think. for a couple reasons. 1:its fast and you can decide which direction to come for them at. 2: you have multiple options during the dragon dash. You can side step, smash attack, ki blast, basic attack, basic attack then vanish behind opponent. Maybe dragon dash, dash to the side once u arrive to bait an attack then gut punch. Or if they dodge twice then use a basic attack then vanish to the side and end up behind their back. I’ve fought people that try to range me out and I catch them with the new dash in some way each time. You just face mfs who aren’t creative when they use it.
It’s very easy to disengage that’s the issue. Closing the distance is easy, but people who don’t plan to box and disengage every time are rewarded a lot
Almost all super sayan transformation have the highest time to charge so i guess these kind of characters might become meta (they charge almost 2 bars per second)
Before this patch wild sense was the most important skill for me but now that z burst is nerfed I see instant transmission a lot more useful. I like to play an aggressive style
My biggest gripe with this patch is definitely side steps, they beat all offensive options up close due to the insane invul frames. People are now mindlessly side stepping more than before and it reduces the skill gap massively. That and people playing lame, on the plus side, my matches have been ending without time-out as I'm using smaller, high dp teams that destroy characters.
@@alwuhugaming Yeah thanks, I kind of figured that earlier, or maybe I was doing it last patch. You have to be careful though because if they side step into a smash attack or gut punch/rolling hammer etc you get blown up so it is risky.
The cheese, atleast to me, seems to be strong character with a transformation that gives full ki. I still got hit with the super Broly loop… but thats because I can’t find the timing for the ground vanish 😅😭
24:42 it doesn’t have to be a charge ki blast, if you switch, even with a normal key blast, hitting your switch in character will appear on top of them
It is a shame that Roshi and Yaijarobe become infamous from the previous patch, because I just really like them regardless of their mechanics. OG Dragon Ball is my favorite. Goku (Teen) is incredibly fun too, but all these characters also received skills that are rather annoying to fight against. 😭
Bardock's been a favorite of mine since launch, and I have to admit I was a little sad when he became super meta just because it gave me that hipster "I played him before it was cool" feeling.
I see guess I gotta do more resets to keep em close, I still gotta say I’m gonna miss putting people in the blender and ending the big combo with a special, I really wish the damage scaling wasn’t this bad the only time to use supers or specials is to throw them out raw or after a quick knock back, kinda promotes unblockables a lot more too
One issue i noticed is combos not connecting fully especially with smaller characters like cell jr and even final form frieza. Not sure if its just me tho, havent seen much people commenting on that Edit, great vid, enjoyed your defense for the side characters! Roshi has been one of faves ever since he called broly "broccoli" 😂
A lot of people romanticize this game calling it “perfect” or “the best game ever” when it’s far from it. The game can be fun but there are a lot of problems that still need to be addressed, and EVERY update will still have cheese. With every update they wrinkle out some creases, but there will always be more to wrinkle out. No game is perfect regardless of how good it is! I hope they continue to work on some of the bigger issues and work on communication with the player base, that way this game can strive for years!
Did they finally touch Yashirobe health? I know they nerfed the seeds and the skill points, but not sure if they changed his health (if so I'm not sure I agree with it)
Ig every patch is gonna have a new meta and it’s gonna be a new cycle but I think it’s fire cuz for the ones that like the challenge it’s gonna be sum new to keep it interesting
HEY AL Dont forget that momentum is back so you can make staggered combos MUCH better now to avoid super counters. Also, Nappa is an absolute powerhouse now! Also there has been some reports that quitting makes you lose points and it gives you more points afterwards. A lot of high tier players have tested it out
Shocked that that 'ZRankSucks' guy didn't ragequit on you, he quit out on me with 5 seconds left in the match. (Edit: Oh. I missed it when I scrubbed through to check as I was writing the comment lel.) As a Grappler Kinda guy in normal fighting games, I hate this patch. I hate getting zoned. I hate zoning. It's not fun for me in the slightest. I played one game in the stream last night and just went to bed after it, Really sad with this patch overall, killed my enjoyment for a game i was super into.
I believe they made the super counter easier in this patch, they just didn't mention it. I noticed that low-ranked players are now able to perform super counters almost instantly, which wasn't possible before. I suggest starting to use super counters more frequently and varying the combos.
If so that’s poor design. You nerf the way we approach promoting the run away meta and even MORE defensive play and then make the one counter that stops any combo…easier to do? Don’t get me wrong I won a shit ton day 1 of the patch despite the changes but man I feel like they’re doing way more in favor of defense. Just nerfing aggression as a whole imo.
The thing about nerfing basic ki blasts is that it takes away the best option to deal with afterimage and fusions. Now the meta is WORSE than it was before. I don't want to play this game right now I won't lie.
I did what you recommended the last video with having a 7dp character (SS3 Goku) and switching them out to keep them alive and I’ve been winning my games
I loved master Roshi and said before the game launched I was going to play. Loved to see he was meta but didn’t adapted to his playstyle. Buffed roshi felt way better to me. I hated nappa but in game I loved playing him (I’m kind a power archetype player) but then I love super vegeta but didn’t adapted to him, I just play better with base vegeta.

after some testing I have figured how DP battle counts who wins on timeout.

Oh that’s coming soon don’t worry. Just gotta power up for my analysis for a few days before I truly analyze how the new gameplay style is
Was raging earlier today at runaway meta, time to lock in and learn from the goat 📝
Changes still needed:
1.- Revert z-burst nerf
2.-Make super counter lock you out for 1-2 seconds when missing it, so it becomes a skillful mechanic and not one you can just spam and have a high success rate.
3.-Give ki sickness after insta spark
4.-Reduce the sensibility of charged smash attack mid combos, this new mechanic is causing combos to drop a lot by accident.
Ki sickness wouldn't matter in DP. Wild sense is annoying but doesn't need to reduce super dmg. everything else is perfect imo.

@ ahh I see wym. I haven’t fought anyone exactly like that yet but I can see how it can be efficient.
I'm guessing one of the reasons (since they didn't give one) they increased the ki cost for z-burst dashing was to stop combo resets.
Was waiting for this!
can some one express me exactly what the new win condition is?
Almost all super sayan transformation have the highest time to charge so i guess these kind of characters might become meta (they charge almost 2 bars per second)
Do you think the androids are stronger than having a 7dp character such as gogeta or Vegito base in dp battles
Best way to counter is to back up slightly and disengage with ki blasts and then re engage
About the super counters, yes. It seems like it became considerably easier to pull off.
24:42 it doesn’t have to be a charge ki blast, if you switch, even with a normal key blast, hitting your switch in character will appear on top of them
Bro is the ANALYZER
Not going to lie I've been waiting for you to drop a vid today lol
Android. #16 mains Unite! Great gameplay :3
Are you not struggling with combos? Been killing me man, just does smash attacks instead of combos
I 100% am struggling. The combos drop randomly a ton as well
Could u do a spotlight on whis
It is a shame that Roshi and Yaijarobe become infamous from the previous patch, because I just really like them regardless of their mechanics. OG Dragon Ball is my favorite. Goku (Teen) is incredibly fun too, but all these characters also received skills that are rather annoying to fight against. 😭
Chat, I think he understands it now.
What is the consensus on win conditions? Does anyone know yet? Are they the same or have they changed?
I am still confused myself lol. I need a confirmation as well
You streaming tonight bro??
Bardock's been a favorite of mine since launch, and I have to admit I was a little sad when he became super meta just because it gave me that hipster "I played him before it was cool" feeling.
Exactly how I felt abt Z Broly. I love him but can’t use him
bro is being exposed to the light now
@@ry-uh3yp on the righteous path
I see guess I gotta do more resets to keep em close, I still gotta say I’m gonna miss putting people in the blender and ending the big combo with a special, I really wish the damage scaling wasn’t this bad the only time to use supers or specials is to throw them out raw or after a quick knock back, kinda promotes unblockables a lot more too
One issue i noticed is combos not connecting fully especially with smaller characters like cell jr and even final form frieza. Not sure if its just me tho, havent seen much people commenting on that
Edit, great vid, enjoyed your defense for the side characters!
I hope they continue to work on some of the bigger issues and work on communication with the player base, that way this game can strive for years!
whats your wish list for dlc characters?
seen the video title and I knew what time it was 😭🙏🏾 Al can’t be stopped
Yeah I get them conditioned with charged ki blast before I z burst, then I mix it up with an immediate grab after I z burst once they learn the rhythm
Seems like youd like instant transmission post patch since no z burst and other skills nerfed
I saw the title and my first thought was the "does he know" image but with "what does he know" instead
I feel bad for the lactose intolerant people and the new cheese coming
Did they finally touch Yashirobe health? I know they nerfed the seeds and the skill points, but not sure if they changed his health (if so I'm not sure I agree with it)
Ig every patch is gonna have a new meta and it’s gonna be a new cycle but I think it’s fire cuz for the ones that like the challenge it’s gonna be sum new to keep it interesting
This update made me main Perfect Cell…
I am doing a story play through after the new update. This should be fun.
21:35 funny i always thought it would be cool to add Launch as a 1 dp character 😂😂😂
HEY AL
Dont forget that momentum is back so you can make staggered combos MUCH better now to avoid super counters. Also, Nappa is an absolute powerhouse now!
Also there has been some reports that quitting makes you lose points and it gives you more points afterwards. A lot of high tier players have tested it out
I also have a question, is the winner determined by damage dealt or more health?
which trunks are you saying has good ki? sword? future? or melee cell saga trunks?
All. Sword characters with their unblockable charged ki blast is very strong
@alwuhugaming gotcha.
I shall adapt for you and teach you and my audience how to deal with it
Anyone figure out trunks unblockable ki spam zoning yet? It’s like every 4th match in my regions A3 (singles)
I would like to see someone with your skill implement a giant like great ape vegeta it would be interesting to see.
Why not jut close the distance with right trigger and a?
They can still easily disengage by just back away. And it’s even more easily punished than z burst dashing
The thing about nerfing basic ki blasts is that it takes away the best option to deal with afterimage and fusions. Now the meta is WORSE than it was before. I don't want to play this game right now I won't lie.
Video number 18 asking Al for a sword character spotlight
Is the health bug still there? I left the game till they fix that
I did what you recommended the last video with having a 7dp character (SS3 Goku) and switching them out to keep them alive and I’ve been winning my games
Is anyone gonna talk about how super baby 1’s dashing charged kinblast does like 3400 damage ?
