  • We hike to Martinique's highest point, the Mount Pele volcano and even hike down into the old caldera. So cool! Then we sail all the way around to the south side of Martinique to the awesome anchorage at St Anne.

    AMAZING, that was surreal. Must have been tough hike but so beautiful. Funny how that little microclimate is up there in a relatively dry area . Super cool hike although I think Ur wife say otherwise….. 🤣😂🤣

      Yes, very interesting how those high peaks mixed with the trade winds and sun make like a misty rainy area. I'm always dragging Lindy around to crazy places! Lol

    Love the out takes .... another great sail , there really are a lot of boats in Saint Ann ! Those damn wind speed indicators are notorious for failing , and look where they put them . 😵‍💫

      I love finding the little funny things that become out takes when I'm reviewing the footage. Lol!

    You will have to go back and climb the volcano on a day where we can see the views... which are probably stunning. Safe travels!

      Apparently the best way to get views is to start the hike just before day break (sunrise)...which means leaving the boat in the early, early AM to get to shore, catch a bus, etc.

    That was a great hike, steep climbs and ferns are my kind of country though I almost felt guilty for spending the hole hike sitting here in the saloon, almost🏴‍☠️

    At the end in St Anne was this where you fouled the anchor on an old fish trap? I think I saw our boat forward of you just to the port side of the large motor boat.

      That was actually when we got to St Anne the previous time earlier in the season. Yes, I think you are there just to port! :)

    Interesting to watch. Planning to hike Pelée in a month. What trail did Lindy take that was different...and perhaps easier?

    • @Funonholiday
      @Funonholiday  Рік тому

      Lindy stayed on the trail around the rim of the caldera. We went on the trail that went down into the caldera. It wasn't too bad.

      @@Funonholiday thinking of going as a novice or moreso to tick off I did. Is there easy trail I don't need to be so adventurous like you 😉

    • @Funonholiday
      @Funonholiday  10 місяців тому +1

      @dereck4187 there are a lot of trails up there. The hardest was going down in the caldera. But the hike up to the rim was a little difficult too. I guess just start out that way and turn around when you feel you need to.
