- I had a great day attending the grand opening of a local fish store, JJ Aquarium, that is also an Aquarium Co-Op retail partner store. Meeting hobbyists and talking to people about fish and aquariums is one of my favorite things, and this day did not disappoint!

I wish I still had a LFS. Walmart came in back in the day....all the LFS closed. Then Walmart stopped carrying fish. I am so happy to see a LFS be successful! Love watching your channel!

I looked into our local fish club (Seattle), I might attend a meeting or tow & see what I think. I don't live very close to the city, so we'll see if it will work for me. I am enjoying the Aquarium Co-op Forum, but it might be nice to connect with people in person too.
I did cry! Wow, i'm sooo proud of you guys, and thanks so much to Zenzo for this outstanding video and your support! Even though I was hoping to hear more about BAPFA as well, it was all perfect!
I used to live in the area and was a member of the San Francisco Aquarium Society, one of the best i've ever had the privilege to be a part of. When covid hit, everything shut down and the clubs stopped meeting. Because of this, in late 2020 I created BAPFA, Bay Area and Peninsula Fish and Aquatics, mostly to fill the need of hobbyists in the area to still be able to meet, sell their fish, acquire new breeding stock, purchase live food cultures, etc. We still had needs, yet no other clubs were meeting. Unfortunately I had to leave before our first meet, but Jesse Filbert, Gabriel, and some others took the club and ran with it, making it what it is today. Over 2300 members and dozens of meetings and auctions thus far! I'm so grateful to you all, so impressed with what you did, and again, so stinking proud of you all! Congrats to Gabriel and John on the store, I know you guys will do great! And to the public, thank you for allowing ALL of us to fulfill our passion and our dreams by fulfilling your needs and supporting you in this hobby! We 'get to' do this all because of you! 💜💜💜💜

I really appreciate you sharing this. My favorite LFS is the Fish Tank in Little Rock, Arkansas. Haven't found a local club yet. So I'm an Aquarium CoOp member and y'all are my club😊

We have a great club, MASI ! Dean spoke there a few months ago. There are a few good LFS, but I wish they were a little closer to where I live.

I would love to have a LFS in my area. I happen to have a really good Petco and a few PetSmart's but no real dedicated aquarium stores. This place looked fantastic! ❤🎉
Zenzo!!! This was excellent! I am so happy for these men (and their families). I am in Sacramento County, and Lerry is known to the Sacramento Aquarium Society. It was so awesome to see so many people show support. I saw many SAS members too, which was awesome. I love this hobby!!!

Fantastic video… LFS’s are the life blood of out hobby. Supporting them is as essential as water changes in our glass boxes.
That was great having so many people supporting this shop on their first day, hope it stays that way.
I do have an awesome LFS that is fortunate enough to be able to move and expand. The bad thing is they are closed till the new place is done, so I'm patiently waiting for their grand opening.
My LFS is Aprils Aquarium in Vancouver/Burnaby. Great store, great staff and an Aquarium Coop affiliate store. Love that I can get the Coop products without having to cross the border now.

Love the fish store tours. They make some if the best fishtube content along with product reviews. Jason of primetime and Ben Ochart have made regular LFS tours lately. Loved this grand opening tour, I wish them all success. Thank you for sharing with us.

I don't have a car but there is a tiny store very near the bus stop in the town where I live.
The problem is they only have a limited selection. They have another branch which means a change of bus and I haven't had chance to visit.
IMHO LHS are so important whatever the hobby. Online shopping is fine enough but nothing beats a brick and mortar store

The Pet Cove in King sport, Tn. They are a clean well run store. Their knowledge of all the animals is outstanding!! They have everything. Birds, etc. All are kept clean and well taken care of. Have to drive about 30-45 to get there, but it so worth it.

Thanks for sharing Zenzo, seeing so many familiar faces from the SFAS and BAPFAS on this video makes me want to visit. Living in Texas now but miss the bay and the fish community there. When I visit the bay again I’m hoping to stop by. It was also good seeing you at Aquashella, Dallas last year. Happy Fish Keeping.

I'd be lost without my local fish stores been doing fresh for so many years I decided to go saltwater so it started out with one tank now I have several up whole new experience anytime I have a problem the store owner is very helpful
The amazing people you meet on the hobby is the best. I've only experienced it on fish tube lol. Can't wait to find a club near me

I wish I had a local fish club! Love the video. I have 2 local-ish fish shops (2 hour drive either way) that I’m a regular at and one small chain that is locally owned. I avoid the big box stores for anything that isn’t the tank itself.♥️

No local fish club in my area. I do have a local fish store that the people there are like family they sponsored the bus trip to the last aquatic experience. Well I was still in a wheelchair. I got to meet Cory and they made sure I got on and off the bus and looked after me when I was there and I am bugging them to become an affiliate store for the co-op. Don’t know if I can mention their name but it’s Bensons Fish Room Ballstonspa, New York.

I like little mom-and-pop stores usually get way better service to Fisher Way healthier the people in there are actually very helpful they're not just some teenage kid with a job big box stores the order bulk numbers and they're more concerned about selling the foods that are in the store than they are about the animals which they forgot a long time ago without the animals you don't need the food all pet stores should always be centered around the animals
