I’ve been selling apistos on eBay and sometimes aquabid for 2 years. Im a part of all the apisto groups online which is now where most of my sales come from. I’m at over 1100 orders so far and not a single negative or neutral review. I bust my ass to pack the right way and I only keep the highest quality. Now I’m even supplying farms in my state with apistos. I still work full time but I could quit at any time to just sell fish. This hobby changed my life! It’s amazing
I haven't ordered from Aqua-huna yet, but I'm sure I will😎 I like ordering from other fish fishtubers like Dan's Fish, LRB Aquatics, and KGTropicals, they feel like my LFS 😎 Thanks Cory 💕👍
In Feburary is the International Fish Stock Exchange called Aqua Expo. Normaly it is in Oktober but because of corona it is in Feburary know. The Aqua Expo does take place in Germany Dortmund and there are many many big Fish breeders from China, Amerika, Nether lands, Dutch … of cours there are also wholesalers and big companies like eheim, sera … Would you also considere to come there with dean?
I wish we had a local fish store in my small town that wasnt Petsmart or Petco. Fish from these two stores are a hit or miss. And breeders are all 50+ miles away
Sucks aqua huna doesn't ship to washington I would love to try them out since I only have a petco and petsmart near me and don't have too many fish to choose from. I ordered from The Wet Spot Tropical Fish after hearing good things and boy I was not disappointed my 25 cardinal tetras and five kuhli loaches arrived alive.
For me it's actually cheaper to buy from Aqua Huna bc my Petco and Petsmart charge an arm and a leg. I can get more for less from online, and even though I'm a beginner I've done a ton of research and have confidence that I won't waste my money via killing my fish.
After learning of Aqua Huna from this video, I ordered 20 cardinal tetras. They arrived alive per their guarantee. But such poor quality fish. They went into a fully cycled 10 gal quarantine tank. After about 2 weeks, 17 out of 20 fish were dead. Poor customer service, too... When I contacted them via email, after a week, they still had not responded. It would have been nice to at least hear an "I'm sorry" from them. Find some place else to shop!
For a follow up, their customer service finally got back to me. We were able to work out a plan that we both agreed on. If I shop online for livestock again, I would consider Aqua Huna. It's a shame their customer service is so slow to respond. Cheers!
i have 3 rlly good local fish store around me. not rlly local since 2 are like 20 min drive but my point is on one of them, their tanks are always clean and good but my fish from there never makes it. they always die off for some reason. except for like snails and fancy shrimps. like i thought shrimps needed better water but the shrimps lives forever but fish just dies. just weird. maybe has to be the water differnce
Pretty disappointed with AquaHuna. Purchased 20 cherry shrimp and only 16 arrived with 3 DOA. So I ended up with 13 live shrimp after paying for 20. Kinda bummed
Wow some of the clips in the beginning of this video. Is that coral fish in pearlcity/aiea hawaii???? I go there all the time with my sister and her bf!!!! So cool!!! lol
I ordereded some longfin peppered cprydoras from aquahuna and while I'm glad everyone made it and am very happy with the specimens they sent... the USPS delivered them to my parcel locker instead of my front porch... I had had to leave work early because my boyfriend couldn't find our mail key. It was warm that day too and they had been in there for hours.
I hate that!!! My usps people do the exact same thing and I'm Disabled so I can't even get to my mailbox without needing an ambulance....even if it's ordered through Amazon and usps is the delivery, they're so lazy they won't follow the instructions to leave at door. I even write DISABLED on the instructions and they don't care. I live in Florida and it was 91 degrees yesterday. They won't last 5 minutes in the parcel locker. I just ordered some gold laser corys so I'm hoping they follow instructions or, you can ask the seller for the usps tracking number because Amazon tracking for live fish is horrible. One time o got a delivery of denison barbs and they were fine...still doing fine, but the Amazon status said it wouldn't be delivered for like 3 weeks...Amazon tracking for live fish...don't trust their tracking
My 1 lfs is HORRIBLE and the two an hour away are mediocre at best. I've actually had great success on Ebay for plants, snails, shrimp, chili rasboras and gorgeous plakat bettas so far for my nano tanks. Hit the sweet spot between too hot in Georgia and too cold coming from the midwest/west coast. Everything was packaged up really well and was so reasonably priced that shipping was about the same as what I would spend driving to the mediocre LFS an hour away. Just checked aquahuna again - everything I looked for in July that was sold out... is still sold out. Window closing for safe shipping with winter imminent for parts of the US.
I use both my local fish store and a couple of online stores. My "local" store is over an hour away. We do have petsmart, etc. about 35 minutes away, but they don't have a great selection. I order plants online and some standard fish.
E-bay is very hit and miss for us, mostly miss! We used to stock our fish room via e-bay but found some really good other online sellers so try to stick to them now!
In South Africa, imports have been a nightmare if it's not Johannesburg. Our domestic airlines have mostly gone bust. So stock arrives from the east at 6 am in Johannesburg. We can only get it on a 5pm flight to Durban. After clearing and transportation from the airport, we only get it at 7.30 pm. So the fish are in the bags an extra 13 hours, the the damage is done. Even from reliable sources, we are having a lot of mortalities. It's sad.
Glad you posted this,I have been thinking of ordering some fish that my LFS hasn’t been able to get on their list. You have tipped the scales towards me ordering.
Only issue I've had with Aquahuna is their Julii corydoras. They're not Julii, I ordered some like 6 months ago and they are Corydoras Trillineatus. They're really cool, but not exactly what I ordered.
I like your advice except about AquaHuna. I am a first time customer (raised fish for over 40 years). Half of my fish order came in dead and a few days later nearly all passed away. Many arrived with sunken bellies (not a good sign) and was beyond saving. I reported the dead on arrivals and received my refund for those fish promptly but many more passed away and I basically just gave up on AquaHuna and didn't bother reporting it. I personally would not risk my reputation promoting Aqua Huna.
This is an video I've been looking for over the last couple of days. Didn't know about aquabid at all. Great too because my local store here, while awesome, didnt have the fish I was looking for a while back. Otherwise I would have bought from them. Shout out to "Alaska Coral & Fish" in Anchorage.

I live on a island and it’s expensive just getting to the mainland so I usually order all of my fish on line, I have ordered quite a few from eBay, some have been happy, healthy and are still alive a year or more later and sadly some never live more than a week, I want to order some new corys and have started paying a lot closer attention to the sellers reviews, it’s very frustrating to be all excited about a new batch of fish only to watch them all die within a week.

Cory that was a very helpful video! Thanks for cranking out high quality, info packed vids. I'm on the level where I am bored of the fish I see at my LFS or box stores and ready for the next stage to order online. So this video gives me piece of mind now that I know what to expect and what I need to do. Also, I've ordered from Aquahuna before and was very satisfied.
Yes, I had 9 of 10 cardinal tetras arrive dead. But AquaHuna immediately refunded my entire order, INCLUDING shipping. So I got one cardinal free. So their service is the best and they stand by their stock!
My first order of Otos went really well. They were happy and hungry and cleaned my 20 gal of algae in a few days. They enjoy the repashy foods. My next order was for 6 dwarf rainbow fish. They arrived alive but many had fins the were ragged. By the end of a week all but give had died. I checked my water parameters and they were all good. The ones that survived are doing it well. I need more dwarf rainbows and am not sure if they don't do well in transport. I am not trying to get a refund but just a bit traumatized at this point.
@@tropicalstreamaquatics9285 no, 3 bags of 4. And slowly one by one they died off. All other fish ordered with survived just fine. As well as other fish already in the tank.

@lalaithan well that's true. An amazon rep hacked my phone when I called them for a special instruction. He said he was going to txfer me to a specialist but it was actually still him. He hacked my boa account for thousands and I watched while he did it. He locked my phone to where I couldn't even turn it off. The call was recorded and they matched up the time of my call to the amazon call and it was verified through my call history that I dialed the correct number. Boa reimbursed me but I've got no idea if boa got there's back. They told me they were going to investigate further buy haven't heard anything...oh...this was 3 days before Christmas last year. I'm disabled so I have to use amazon a lot, and they carry a lot of the stuff relating to my hobby...fishkeeping. I wish I didn't have to. I literally ONLY get out for Dr's appointments due to lack of mobility. And those are very hard days. And with my condition living upstairs is the worst thing for my condition for several reasons...long story. Anyway, I've got no love lost for amazon
I'm very lucky to live close to Dave's rare fish. He's a local breeder. He has all the 'Mbunas, Haps and Peacocks that I want. He also has way more selection than anyone else in the internet from what I've seen. Excellent breeder and person. Prices are very good too. Thanks for the video
I've bought from Aqua hauna about 5 times now, my water here in Texas is super hard ph of 8.5, tds is 320, gh kh is super high, so I started using Shrimp king with rodi water and I just put a tds of 225 and then bought celestrial pearl danios, panda corys, and gold cloud Minnows from Aqua Hauna and no deaths at all. All the fish came out of quarantine with no parasites, no ich, no illnesses whatsoever. Here in Texas it's super hot so they put an ice pack when shipping. I've also ordered shrimp and they did have the rostrum parasite but I medicated them, most survived and reproduce, I bought shrimp a second time and one had the green parasite under the carriage and the rest were fine and never developed it from that one that passed with treatment and was separated from the rest. Let me tell you they have the best customer service and guarantee your fish and shrimp from 3 days after you get your package and will refund your loss, just send the pics and boom refund for the loss. 12.99 for shipping come on you can't beat that, alot of previous online vendors don't even offer that price for shipping. Aqua Hauna has been good to me!
I have 2 local fish stores, nether have much. Not even tanks for sale no rare fish and expensive. The one has quality fish that I've had great luck with. The other are always sick or dying and have gotten so much bad info there regarding cares and sizes of certain fish. As bad as PetSmart, Petco is hit and miss around here. Think I'm going to order a dovii since the impossible to find around here. Usually just green terrors and jacks. I have a haitensis and wanna try the real monster now so obviously anything local don't fit what I'm looking for. Where should I order my dovii from that has quality fish
