HES A PALEONTOLOGIST AND ARTIST IN ONE HAHAHAHAHAHA
Haden’s attention to detail and appreciation for the plot (even though he overall didn’t love it and it was a chore - there’s no denying he seemed invested in those details) is everything. I think people trash this book largely because it’s fun to trash it! Loved watching you two respect and trash it all at once, I needed this 👏🏼
haden getting all deep into what diversity means in a fantasy book was extremely what i'm here for. it's really interesting to hear you guys discussing together bc you so clearly have different focuses while you're reading the book, this is some good shit
Chandler: I'm a little fuzzy on the details, fill us in
Haden: Okay so here's the tea
I'm living for Haden just being able to legit retell the entire book
"The slow burn of Hybern" is sending me. I love listening to Haden talk about these books so much. It's so interesting to hear the perspective of someone who doesn't usually read YA Fantasy. I love how he remembered all of the details. 😂
it always surprises me how much he remembers!
AGREED ! ^-^
Only true legends know that Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus was a cinematic masterpiece 😤
On My Mind okay but barbie fairytopia and mariposa, let’s discuss
Mariposa was better. PERIODT
Yes absolutely, but the NUTCRACKER
But Princess and the Pauper tho
facts
Chandler trying to get onto smut and love and Haden just wanting to talk about flat-Earth fairies 😂
Honestly, I love this book with my whole heart, but holy shit I'm dying of laughter right now. things i've gotten from this video: pro-weaver, bone carver is a paleontologist, fae are flat earthers, and tamlin is a boomer lmaooo
if i ever pick up and read the acotar trilogy it will only be because of how vividly haden described this scene with the weaver in the woods.
I’m cracking up at how intensely he’s explaining the old blind lady break in hahhahahaha. Amazing
As soon as Chandler mentioned “Barbie and the Magic Pegasus” I knew exactly what she was talking about
I love how Haden is like "these are the facts" and Chandler gives him the side eye. Sir, this is SJM, we didn't come here for facts😒
He had his receipts all day erryday!!!! Lol
Love Haden saying Maas is stupid or a flat earther 🤣 oh the twilight comments about Bella being useless
Love when she said there was no build up to their relationship and hadens like hold on, there was a ton. And then proceeds to list it all lol
This is the real content while being quarantined. Being sick sucks. But this is life. ❤️ And getting 3 black Dagger books in today 💕.. This day can't get better.
"I'm pro weaver in this story. Sure... she captures people and turns them in to thread and eats their flesh... but it's only people trying to steal her shit"
🤣🤣
new goal for the book club is to find the most direct parallels to barbie movies
well you ca say that Rhysand showed her "a whole new world"
51 minutes of content!
This is what I need for my quarantined life!
Haden: Why do we need the sisters?
Me: My thoughts exactly, every time Feyre is like 'Nesta is so amazing and tough with a mind of steel and blah, blah...'' I'm like pls stop🤦🏽
"He's just a paleontologist." Hayden, the Houselfiance, is a genius.
haden's passion and attention to detail for this series is literally everything i live for
when you said Tamlin was a Republican I literally SNORTED 💀
If he thought Feyre was depressed wait till he enters the mind of Juliette Ferrars 😁
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate Hadens damn fine voice at 35:40? That was something I didnt know that I needed in a book review XD
Also: I love how Haden can remember all of the plot points because I (personally) always get so wrapped up in the romance/relationship aspect that I forget anything that steers the story, and this book was kind of just all over the place in that aspect, so I really liked the incredible memory that he had because its been almost a year since I read this book, which I think I felt pretty meh about.
PS, you guys are adorable
haha i was wondering if anyone would comment on that :) he does have some pipes on him
I was so frustrated with this book, but in a good way. When I read that scene at the end of the first book where Feyre was 'called' to the balcony by Rhys and he looked her in the eye and 'stumbled', I called my friend who had already read the entire series and screamed at her that surely that was the mating bond snapping in place. And then I had to wait for 600 flucking pages for Feyre to realize it, just because the flucking suriel told her. Saddening.
I'm dying he made amazing points towards the plot for you to say "just here for the romance" I'm dying 😭😭
Stopping at 5 minutes just to say your “Tamlin is a republican” tweet is my favorite tweet in the world 😂😂 I still can’t stop laughing
"The Bone-Carver... just a paleontologist" ACTUALLY LAUGHED SO HARD BAHAHAH
I’ve not yet read this series, but hearing you two simultaneously advocate for AND trash these books makes me want to pick them up so badly! Lol I will 100% argue Bella’s powers, I could write a thesis on that😂”He’s just a paleontologist”, see that’s the kind of perspective we love to see👏👏👏
I love how excited he is about reading a short book 😂
the only books he reads during the year are for DBBC so i don’t blame him 😂
"That's the way things work in the Spring Court babe, I don't think you understand that" I'm fucking dyiiing he was so serious 💀💀💀
I’m nervous Bc I love this book. Unapologetically. So much better than the first. But I agree the beginning is boring. When I re-read I usually start when she’s in the dark court.
The beginning is sort of a courage test. I bought this books like 2 years ago and was so hyped. When I started the second book I couldn't believe at what I was reading and stopped, just got the courage to keep going this week while quarantined :p
haden really said the weaver has rights and i’m here for it
I have literally never clicked on a notification so fast. I read these books my freshman year, and although they are problematic in some aspects they will forever be my favorite books ever. I've probably reread acomaf 8 times lol
Have I ever read anything by Sarah J. Maas? No.
Did I still watched this video? YES.
Do I think this video was more interesting then book itself? YES.
in the raven boys, blue has NO powers and she still kicks ass as a main character, I love her the most
So.. are we still waiting on part 3 because I NEED YOU GUYS TO MAKE A PART 3 BECAUSE YALL MAKE ME LAUGH SO MUCH!! I love love love your dynamics and banter throughout the whole book but omg I laughed so much while yall are talking about the romance-y parts of the book! Such a precious couple~ Please please PLEASE read A Court of Wings and Ruin and report to your adoring fans, we await your next video in this series eagerly
I would personally love to see you guys read ACOWAR, it doesn't have to be the next book but after the abrupt ending of the Twilight Saga I really need to see Haden's commentary on the last book, even if it takes months for you guys to get through it :D Also a series of you and Haden watching Barbie movies? I'm down :))
I'm left with only one question after this-did you watch barbie magic of pegasus?
that’s the plan for today
I appreciate Haden bc I did not remember 75% of what he was bringing up lol I’m like Chandler and only remember the romance 😂
“Yah it’s from people, it’s people grease” he said nonchalantly, moving on to the rest of the story like he hadn’t just said PEOPLE GREASE 😂
This was surprisingly entertaining to watch, I can't wait for more of dbbc
FINALLYYYY! I‘ve been waiting for this video for sooo long
I’ve been putting off the third book for years and had basically forgotten everything but the sex scenes of this book, so this was helpful
I love this format! It’s so interesting to hear a discussion about the details from a different POV- I actually love this book but it was entertaining to hear from someone who doesn’t seem to be into the romance part at all.
I love the things Hayden talks about and adds to the convo! Love these DBBC videos!
I love how this is just Haden pointing out all the plot holes in the book lmao
I feel like I'm the only person who feels like the second book is the best in the series
Lol you're not. It's definitely the best
It’s my absolute favorite
When y’all started discussing fae currency I DIED
so glad you guys are back to talk about this book!! We love an update from our favorite book club 🤧 I remember reading this for the first time in high school and being shook tf up because it was the first time I could remember the mc actually choosing to leave a love interest for his toxic behaviors instead of just letting it happen/forgiving him later (and tbh that’s what I remember most about this series and probably why I remember it as being That Good lmao)
This is the best thing I've watched all day while stuck at my house. also, you guys are adorable!💕
To hear both perspectives about these books is relatable to my split personality when reading❤️ Thank you for providing content for my brain in this time of confinement 🙌🏼
I didn’t expect that upload but I‘m more than here for it. Finally something good to watch when being quarantined👏🏻😌
BARBIE AND THE MAGIC OF PEGASUS BAHAHA I’M CACKLING. I mean it really is an excellent film
omg I love this video series !! I was cackling the whole time + I love the dynamic b/t you two
This is inspiring me to reread the whole series while the world is falling apart. Love you girl ❤️
my quarantined self is so happy right now. I needed this!
This is totally irrelevant but I’ve been staring at Haden for like 15 minutes trying to figure who tf he looks like and I got it!! he looks like Declan from Degrassi. Totally irrelevant and not important but it was bothering me 😂😂😂
Wow I didn’t know I needed this, but now that I have it, I will treasure it forever. ACOMAF is my favorite book ever, but seeing y’all dissect it like this is really awesome and hilarious.
I`ve just binged all of these- Podcast- this needs to be a podcast.
Dang! Love this spoiler full review and the contrast of how you focus on different details
Haden singing “Climax” gave me life. Please do “Shatter Me” next! It’s been on my TBR forever. I need some inspiration to read it.
Please do more of these! Your banter is soo good :)
There is nothing i love more than watching a roast of my favourite terrible book that i shamelessly love.
I just want to say that this video is so entertaining and I laughed out loud a couple of times! I love your sense of humor and I appreciate how Haden knew all the details that I forgot about this book :)
i love this so much omg😭 haden’s focuses while reading strike really similar to mine so i loved hearing his analysis of the aspects of the book that i also noticed and had something to say about
i know this was three years ago but i would ADORE seeing you guys “finish” the series
Did I just sit through almost an hour book review about a book I will never read, bet your bottom dollar lol. I think my favorite comment was " the bone carvers just a paleontologist" I gagged lol, fantastic video
thank you so much for this, this is really a thorough review I've been looking for something like this for a while now good job!!
the bloopers! omg they are so cute
Honestly, I just love listening to this review and recap! I'll never read ACOTAR but it's so entertaining to listen to the both of you snark :)
Ahhh I’ve been waiting for this!!
ok so I do feel like the third book actually resolves a lot of issues you guys brought up. a lot of characters get brought back (weaver, suriel, bone carver, etc.) and we find out that a few main/powerful characters aren't straight.
I’m newer to your channel but I have to leave a comment and say I LOVE DBBC! It’s so interesting to get both of your opinions! I hope you guys keep these coming!
I NEED MORE OF THESE BOOK REVIEWS!!!!
Dude this is my favorite seriesssssss
I haven't even read these books, but these videos are my favorite 😂 you guys are so hilarious!
YES oh my god please read Shatter Me. That review would be gold. I’m already bracing myself for the pain from having my first book bf from when I was 14 ripped to shreds
In quarantine and doing online classes...these videos are helping me get by!
YESSS i love the dbbc!
YES THANK YOU FOR THIS UPLOAD IM SO BORED STUCK IN MY ROOM
shatter me is my absolute favourite, PLEASE do it next 🥺 btw i love these videos soooo much
This is everything I've ever wanted in a video
I love hearing Haden's thoughts. The two are of you are awesome discussing these books.
Yes! please read Shatter me!! It would be so fun and interesting to hear your discussions on it!!
this is the most entertaining hour i've experienced since john mulaney's last netflix special
You two make me so happy 💀😂
This was so fun to watch omg we need more of these😂❤️
there's 2 coming up soon :)
Intro Chandler: whispers
Me whispers back: demonotized
Working remotely and this video is the only thing keeping me going rn bless up
Omg, I finished my second time reading this book yesterday and also didn’t remember the slow burn thing 😱 it is so slooooow! But still my favorite of them all! Rhysand is everything! 💕
this makes me want to reread the books, it's hilarious and I need an episode 3!
I also have to watch the Barbie movie now
yes please read shatter me oh my god i’ll reread it with you i can’t wait to hear both your and haden’s commentary
I’m soo excited to watch this
Y'all are cute. This was a blast to watch. And I'd absolutely love to hear you two talk about Shatter Me!
"the bone guy" and "he's into bones" just doesn't sound right tbh
WHEN I TELL YOU I SCREAMED-
Haden has an incredibly good memory 😂 I forgot about half the shit he remembered so clearly! Basically every point you guys made in this video is exactly what I was thinking! I hope you make videos for the rest of the series! ☺️
Probably the best video of the year so far omg! My boyfriend may have gotten slightly annoyed by how often I was laughing (perhaps a little too loud, whoops)
