BATTLE BEASTS! I had a ton of those when I was a kid, even the big sand crawler thing for them, I just couldn't remember what they were called. Thank you!
The live action Masters of the Universe movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. How can you not love Frank Langella in this? I know lots of people hate it, and it differs from the cartoon quite a bit, but I have fun whenever I catch up with it.
Yep, you're right! Even though the movie differs from the cartoon, I at least give it props compared to that garbage GI Joe the Rise of Cobra movie. I'll watch Masters of the Universe anyday over that garbage.
Till this day, I still own a few of those Transformers Monsterbots. The sparks still work, and that's what great about 80s toys. They're built to last, and they don't make them like those anymore.
The S'mores Crunch I remember quite well for it was short lived and was on sale at the time towards the end of its demise. My mom bought me and siblings quite a few boxes! It pretty much was Golden Grams with a swirl of chocolate and marshmallows and a General Mills product. The marshmallows were the same texture as Lucky Charms.
Well, here we are in 2020 and smore's cereal is back...say what you will about the 21st century being the century where we go to hell in a handbasket but at least we have the time honored tradition of random ass collaborations of cereal like chips ahoy or sour patch kid cereal(or right now eggo maple syrup waffle cereal)...might not be much for kids growing up now,but at least its better than getting kicked in the sack.
themusiclover30 Malt O Meal has a variety that is close. The chocolate pieces have been replaced with cocoa balls like Cocoa Puffs. But the marshmallows and grahams are like the original.
jeremy young it was the saying for the show, they were half human cyborgs, partly metal (robot) partly real (human) ... this was my time man... wish my kids got this.
I had them too Never knew what to make of them...who gave them to me? What were they?...IDK. but i had more than a few of them. The coffin with the flipping hologram was cool.
man so many freaking toys that I loved... battle beasts (man I wish they would get a reboot), silverhawks, MASK, transformers (obviously) only thing missing was GI JOE! oh and on the MOTU movie cinefix did a '7 things you didn't know about' the movie a little while back, even explained why we didn't get Orko in the movie (wasn't technically possible back in '87)
6:34 - 6:44 a portion of "Great Ovation" (better known as the Walt Disney Home Video "Feature Presentation" bumper music) plays throughout the promo ua-cam.com/video/qbSAi_sTm7Y/v-deo.html
I never had one, but I remember seeing them in stores. I knew nothing about them, so I'd look at the holograms for a minute a move on. I liked other toys with holograms better, namely Visionaries and Battle Beasts.
God, that had to be right after Chuck E. Cheese took over Showbiz Pizza, they were still using Showbiz's jingle. T_T I loved going to Showbiz when I was a kid, it wasn't the same after CEC took over. Well, part of it was that I had grown up, but the CEC by where I live doesn't have the same magic that Showbiz did.
Silverhawks-still waiting for the revival(as long as it isnt on CN..look what they did with Thundercats and He-Man) Wisecracking ALF-wasn't he always like that? lol Super-Naturals-loved how the announcer said it"SUUPERR-Naturals!!" MASK-i think these vehicles were seen in the "racing" season
Popeye has been used to sell a myriad of products since his inception, and I'm not just talking about spinach. This wasn't even the first cereal he shilled for: i.imgur.com/AVQjXHH.jpg He also had his own brand of popcorn, soda, candy cigarettes and probably countless other products. Not to mention the fast food chicken joint that still uses his name.
Garfield's better than Heathcliff. 10:32 Whenever I see a Kool-Aid commercial, I couldn't help but think of this weird video: ua-cam.com/video/4rEHS7zWfRw/v-deo.html
Id get home from school and catch the last 15 minutes of Heathcliff and then it was ESPN to watch AWA wrestling or World Class Championship Wrestling. But made sure to never miss Garfield and Friends.
The 80's were seriously the best time to be a kid. The toys, commercials, shows, movies, clothing...everything was great!
80s a great time to be a little kid 90s a great time to be grown. I was blessed.
Ronald Hawkins could not agree more.
Millennials are jealous of the 80s kids. Haha we rock. Best time ever.
80s was such a great time for toys.
9 years old in 1987. Remember a lot of these commercials as they originally aired.
Ditto
I remember the Silver Hawks I was born in 81 love the 80s
3:18 when puberty hits
Me too! Feb '81.
BATTLE BEASTS! I had a ton of those when I was a kid, even the big sand crawler thing for them, I just couldn't remember what they were called. Thank you!
I’m at work - management just distributed the daily threats...and your video just saved the day! I’m happy again!!

It's worth watching for Langella's Skeletor alone. When it's on, I'll watch it!

SMore's 30 years later are the newest flavor of Thomas English Muffins. A cereal like that might be worth trying to sell again.

Thanks for the post. I would've never saw these ever again.
Transformers commercial was lit. 🤘
I like how you numbered all your commercials out.nice work.thanks for memories
Wow. I’ve been out of L.A. too long. Thanks for the memories:^)
Battle Beasts damn.. I forgot all about those since I had them as a kid.
Makes me feel like a 35 year old little kid...lol...
Same! 😀
Same!
Battlebeasts were like early Pokemon. A nice idea that wasn't quite fleshed-out yet.
I loved the S'Mores Crunch. There is a cereal out that is kind of like it. It's called Honey Maid S'Mores.
themusiclover30 Malt O Meal has a variety that is close. The chocolate pieces have been replaced with cocoa balls like Cocoa Puffs. But the marshmallows and grahams are like the original.
I like how the silverhawks commercial says partly metal partly real, as if metal was imaginary.
jeremy young it was the saying for the show, they were half human cyborgs, partly metal (robot) partly real (human) ... this was my time man... wish my kids got this.
timothy Roosa I understand what it meant I just thought it was funny wording. Why not say part metal part man or something like that.
THANKYOU! I always thought this too!
Who cares. It makes complete sense in a 6 year old imagination.
Man i tried those ice cream cones cereal only ONCE 😭😭😭
I had some Super Naturals and Battle Beasts as a kid. I forgot all about them
AroundIndiana I bought a bin full of 80's action figures. I got 4 Super Naturals and 6 ghostlings in the bunch.
I had them too
Never knew what to make of them...who gave them to me? What were they?...IDK. but i had more than a few of them. The coffin with the flipping hologram was cool.
Starcom wow brings back memories
Wow like going back in time
I still have the koala Battle Beast which i bought from a friend's garage sale circa 1989. His arms are now missing, unfortunately.
ICE CREAM CONE CEREAL!! That was awesome!!!
man so many freaking toys that I loved... battle beasts (man I wish they would get a reboot), silverhawks, MASK, transformers (obviously) only thing missing was GI JOE!
oh and on the MOTU movie cinefix did a '7 things you didn't know about' the movie a little while back, even explained why we didn't get Orko in the movie (wasn't technically possible back in '87)
Catillac Cats deserves a reboot.
Kids today don't know what imagination is, sad.
2:41 That was some nasty cereal lol
I still have my alf doll
i loved the masters of the universe movie i found out that robert duncan mcniel that played tom paris from star trek voyager was in that movie
Man Do I Feel Old-er
😂me too
The girl in the Chuck E Cheese commercial looks like Hillary Wolf from Home Alone.
They had MOTU figures based on the movie? That's about the only cool thing about that!
84 Battle Beasts! Crazy!

6:50 - Ahh, Super Naturals! I was wondering for years what these toys were called. I had the one at 6:57, which I guess is the evil/antagonistic one.
I never had one, but I remember seeing them in stores. I knew nothing about them, so I'd look at the holograms for a minute a move on. I liked other toys with holograms better, namely Visionaries and Battle Beasts.

Showbiz Pizza bought Chuck E. Cheese, not the other way around. They later rebranded as Chuck E. Cheese. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ShowBiz_Pizza_Place
Poor Lucky
I hear Hal Smith for the Ertl commercial.
Battle Beast!!!
Silver hawks was my shit!
why did I not know of ice cream cone cereal?
starcom was sick.
Heathcliff the cat was and is the only cat I like.
I can't be the only one who thinks Ice Cream Jones sounds a little bit like Weird Al, can I?
Silverhawks-still waiting for the revival(as long as it isnt on CN..look what they did with Thundercats and He-Man)
Wisecracking ALF-wasn't he always like that? lol
Super-Naturals-loved how the announcer said it"SUUPERR-Naturals!!"
MASK-i think these vehicles were seen in the "racing" season
TTrigg this new thunder cats roar is not thundercats we grew up with
The Ice Cream Cereal Was A Good Cereal, Well I At Least Liked Them,!!
Ooga mega leega deega? I could see myself making fun of that as a kid.
Smores crunch was basically golden grams with marshmallows. It wasn't that good, honestly.
Golden grams fans would be psyched
Kristina Rain Anytime I had that, it felt like it was scratching mu teeth.
There's something wrong about popeye shilling cocoa puffs
Popeye has been used to sell a myriad of products since his inception, and I'm not just talking about spinach. This wasn't even the first cereal he shilled for: i.imgur.com/AVQjXHH.jpg

Starcom was great! Until someone stole my Starcom ID card! SkyShadow GRABS HIM and SUCKS HIM in!
Some pretty awesome 80's stuff...Oh, man, I think my mom and dad had an Alf doll just like that!
