    Hard as I try, it's difficult to pinpoint one specific model as the best auto-empty robot vacuum, since there are many variables, so I have to spill them up into different categories.
    The Roomba S9+ is the best in cleaning performance overall and the best on carpet. It's the best cleaning robot vacuum across the board.
    The Roborock S7+ is the best vacuum and mop hybrid of the bunch thanks to the upgrades with its brush roll and mopping system.
    And the best value-for-money alternative is the Yeedi Vac Station, which isn't surprising since it shares many of the same components as the Ecovacs DEEBOT robots.

    Lol, it's like getting hit in the face everytime that sound effect plays! Great video though, one of the best and most recent comparisons out there. Thanks mate! I already have a good robot vac but I love watching your videos. Cant wait for the one focused on navigation.

      How do you like it? We have 2700 sq ft carpet, tile and vinyl. One Persian cat and 1 girl. Concerned about pet hair and ability to clean carpets. Any issues with emptying the dirt bin or hair breaking or getting stuck on rollers etc? How is the maintenance? Does it auto detect when the on-board bin is full and go back to the base for a clean or does it keep cleaning but doing a poor job because the bin is full? Does the robot detect when the outside waste bin bag is full?

      @@shanew7361 I only have a basic base. Oh my god, it's been a terrible 2 months. During 1 vacuuming, it stopped 10-20 times with error 2 - bumper error. I was determined to return the robot. But after 2 updates, it seems to finally work as it should. We only have vinyl and it vacuums well. He wipes too, but you have to change the rag often. As soon as he wipes 1 room, stop him, go wash the rag and start again.

      I'm in the same situation and agree object avoidance is one of the major issues I have with my older models! It can't clean, run long or do anything if its stuck on a lego, dog toy or shoes that were left laying about.

  • @oakland2425
    @oakland2425 3 роки тому +5

    Cleaning test result is worthless in my opinion unless the difference is really significant. You won't really notice a 75% vs 100% dust pickup difference, especially if you run your vacuum everyday.

      wise words my friend indeed.

    • @CordlessVacuumGuide
      @CordlessVacuumGuide  3 роки тому +1

      That's a good point, but I'm doing these measured tests to establish a hierarchy, to see which will pick up more in a controlled environment. I do agree that for cleaning dust these numbers are irrelevant, but it does reveal options that struggle in certain surfaces like the Ultenic T10, which is poor on carpet and Yeedi that is surprisingly good.

    Hello, almost 2 years ago, I decided to buy S5 Max by watching your videos and I was very satisfied. I have now moved to a different country and I need a new robot. I'm stuck between the Roborock S7 and the Yeedi Vac Station. In my current house, 1 of the room is carpetflex. Other rooms are wooden. At the moment Roborock S7 costs 518 euros without auto empty station and Yeedi costs 348 euros. Money is not a problem, but considering the prices, what do you think is the best price/performance product for me? Thank you very much, I hope you continue your videos.

    • @CordlessVacuumGuide
      @CordlessVacuumGuide  2 роки тому +5

      It really depends on your preference. Cleaning performance shouldn't be a deciding factor., but these are.
      The Yeedi Vac station is a good product, one of the more underrated ones in my opinion. But it relies heavily on a camera, so there might be issues in low light conidtions. The S7 uses LIDAR so that won't be an issue. So that's one factor to consider is the number of maps their respective apps can save. the S7 can save up to 4, while Yeedi can only save 1.
      Also the S7's VibraRise mopping system is much better than Yeedi's with usability and performance, so it's another thing to look at.

    I would pick S7 for sure. By the time the S9 runs and picks up all the dirt, the S7 already did the whole house and it's ready for a second run which will gather more stuff than the S9.
    The only concern will be edge cleaning. I don't get why roborock are bad in that department. Probably rubber side brush vs bristle.

      @Elissa J it does not hold water in the dock unfortunately, I know because I’ve literally spent hours researching this all day yesterday.
      If you’re looking specifically for a mopping robot that excels in mopping but is ehh ok In vacuuming the narwal is what I’ve seen is great. However I haven’t found one that’s great at both except the s7 however it is not hands off at all

    Happy New Year! In your personal opinion, which robot would you recommend for lots of pet fur (two long haired cats)? My house is mostly carpeted (medium pile) and has two small areas with hardwood (dining room) and laminate (kitchen)?

    • @CordlessVacuumGuide
      @CordlessVacuumGuide  2 роки тому +1

      Happy New Year too! I'd go with the Roborock S7 or the Roomba S9+, since your dealing with pet hair. Those are my recommendations. I like the S9+ on carpet since it has lots of airflow, but Roborock has the more refined navigation and app.

    Yeedi seems to be the best budget choice? Is camera navigation really that bad? Yeedi sell now for € 350 is not the best choice of them all really right now?
    Although the S7 has a better mopping function, it is not worth € 450 extra.

    • @CordlessVacuumGuide
      @CordlessVacuumGuide  2 роки тому

      Yes, Yeedi offers great value, it's basically getting an Ecovacs, only with a camera sensor. It's not bad, but you'll need to keep the lights on for it to function its best.

    • @CordlessVacuumGuide
      @CordlessVacuumGuide  2 роки тому

      It's not the sole aspect, but it's an important once. Brush roll design is also a critical component, that's why Roomba's are great on carpet, but high airflow is a critical factor for debris pick up.

    Great video, though the spec comparisons weren't up long enough for me (I rewound the video and paused when I wanted to read these more), and the video gave no reference to object avoidance AI, which I would value as another important feature.
    While nice, upgrading from an older Irobot vacuum, and having a separate irobot M6 mop already, I don't value the mop as much. With the roborock s7 losing the camera and AI that the s6 maxv had, and while gaining AI, with the Irobot j7+ losing the D shape, and not gaining the battery life that I want, I'd be inclined to wait for the roborock s7 maxv to come out in Australia.

      Hi Will, thanks for the feedback. I'm planning on doing a separate video focusing on obstacle avoidance. With obstacle avoidance, only the Dreame Z10 Pro and Ecovacs N8 Pro+ have the front laser sensors, I've tested both and Dreame was better with the range of objects it can avoid, at least with my tests. I'm planning on testing the J7+ and comparing it with the other options here. I'm not sure when, but I'll put that up as soon as I finish all the individual reviews.
