When I watch these, I don’t wash these from the perspective of just entertainment. I watch these as a Midwest Hunter trying to get as much knowledge as possible to reduce my learning curve when we head to the mountains. I’m so grateful for that. The group you’re putting together with Lampers, Beau, Mark- This is like an education course for western hunting with master class professors. Thank you so much.

Always go see what else is there when you find deer you find the big ones even when you dont see them from far away. Always go thru with the stock and see what happens.

I love how yelling “hey” to stop a buck works 100% of the time, 60% of the time😂 “hey” is so much more effective than grunting, or whistling in my experience. Nasty conditions, but really cool hunt footage because of the weather. Keep it up guys, and thank you

What's most impressive to me is despite the blizzard you both seem comfortable. I was raised to "tough it out" in Idaho weather hunting conditions wearing jeans and crappy boots. Every blizzard hunt I've done was miserable. These videos are good examples of using good gear.
That's so true--I remember when I froze my butt off on hunts like this. Well insulated boots, the right mittens, external heat sources, wool and down layers, etc., etc., combine to make all the difference. Our gear today is SOOO much better than what I grew up using--it's insane. Thanks Brycen!

Great you were able to pull it all off in the storm. Filming would've been the furthest thing from my mind. The run down of the stalk in and the dos and don'ts is great stuff.
Empty freezers, shortened hunts, and sleeping in parking lots reminds me of my hunts. It's rewarding when it all comes together no matter the size of the inedible horns.
I always feel like I'm in the theater watching a great movie, The sound of the wind and the snow made feel like I was right their!!❄🌨🏔

I live in Everett Pa and work in the Bakken oilfield in ND. I'm watching your film on my phone while driving truck, hauling production water on dirt roads in the oilfield. Nothing like hunting in a blizzard. I’ve done a couple whitetail hunts in snow like that, but not the wind. Great film.

The fact that you two hunt together is a testament to each others skill and character. This was awesome. Brian, you hammered that buck. I cannot believe how far he ran with that shot. Great double. Mark is a great inspiration to all us “more experienced folks”.
Can’t agree more, every animal is different even with similar shots. I shot a whitetail a few years back and I ended up taking the top part of the heart out (which sucked because there was no stuffed heart for dinner that year) and it still ran up a trail 50 yards before collapsing. Adrenaline can keep them moving. Keep up the great videos guys thanks for being Gritty!

The videos this season could be modern-day remakes of older films. The moose film of Lampers rowing down the river with the moose and caribou in the raft is comparable to a grown Huck Finn adventure and this film is like a clip from the Jeremiah Johnson film!! Remaking every childhood adventure film!!! Great videos!

I'm in CA (unfortunately). I'm in the military, in emergency management. We've been activated since before Christmas, nonstop, for these storms and floods. But when I finally got home at 10pm tonight, and saw that there was a new GRITTY vid, watching it was the first thing I did! INCREDIBLE film. And that artist and song at the end of the hunt is beautiful. You've brought some amazing vibes to folks who need some positivity. It's like hunting vicariously. THANK YOU.

What a cool double! Thank you for your authenticity and showing how hunting really is. Anyone who's harvested very many animals knows they all act different when hit. Accurately representing the hunt/kill makes your films the best.

I much prefer a complete story full of travel, campfire, tent, processing, eating meat, plus the stalk and shot. Love Gritty, big fan, I’m being picky, but this one left me wanting more.
I hear you! But sometimes you tag-out on the first day. We slept in a parking lot the night before. There was no camp--this hunt happened fast. My goal is to show you what happened. We usually do a 10-day hunt with lots of backpacking, etc., but not this time. We were prepared to pack-in 15 miles to special spot we had scouted. But then... we spotted Mark's buck before we even left the trailhead. I'm not complaining either--but it's definitely different from our usual hunts. Hunting is unpredictable! Especially this year!
Another great hunt in harsh conditions. The gear we have today is so much better than 20 years ago. Just love Mule Deer hunts. Thanks for the tremendous effort to share it with us. Very much appreciated.

The frigid wind is blowing, Marks motor skills begin slowing. Brian has the camera perfectly focused, a shot now would be great but Mark hasn’t noticed. Take the shot Brian says, your running out of time. Mark must be frozen with his trigger finger caught in a bind. According to Brian 55 minutes pass by, before Marks trigger finger thaws out and finally let’s the bullet fly. Brian gets on the gun, quick shot “that’s how it’s done” Mark jabs back “by the size of your buck, it could be my bucks son.” Another great video fellas, two great bucks. The friendly banter resonates with me. 😂👍 Stay Gritty!

Tough suckers man! Taking it through the lungs is no joke! I have the upmost respect for Mule Deer. That being said I think it’s important for people to understand that death is ugly and it is not perfect every time. A moose is such a huge tough creature and your adrenaline is going nuts that sometimes your shots aren’t “perfect.” A good follow up shot can be important. I think you guys explained it great! The first couple of Gritty videos I watched were great. But honestly, I wasn't so keen on the after-hunt talks. But Now I find them to be every bit as entertaining as the hunt, and so full of knowledge. I wish I had this level of information and entertainment available when I was just getting started. Then to top it off you offer all the giveaways. Incredible. Thank you.
I don’t know what was better, Brian’s moose calling or Mark flopping around on the ground 😂. You can’t help but laugh and be happy when Mark is a around. He’s happier then a fat kid in a candy store, more excited then a midget at a miniskirt convention, and sometimes about as coordinated as a fish out of water. Joking aside he’s as genuine and hard working as they come. Real salt of the earth. In late June he could barely walk. After having to have knee surgery that late in the year a lot people would have hung it up for the season but he worked his tail off to give him and Eli the opportunity to get on the mountain and make some memories. Nothing but mad respect!! 👊🔥

Congrats on an amazing season guys! We were hunting Muleys in central montana late November this year and can appreciate hearing that wind and how cold it actually was! Really enjoyed hearing you guys talk about deer not going down immediately. I double lunged a buck 2 years ago with a 168 gr 7mm rem mag from 180 yards out and it it went 175 yards with a huge blood trail and didn’t look phased for the first 125. It was so unnerving in the moment when you are confident with the shot, yet for some reason they are able to go such a distance before expiring

I was very surprise that Brian buck went as far as he did after he stopped and wobbled I thought he was done but when he walked off slowly I was like wow but each animal reacts differently in any event another great vid as always.

On the majority of your hunts I can say I usually have a “wish I was there” feeling. This one however, not so much. Hahaha. That looks painfully COLD! Great job closing the deal on those two awesome mule deer.
Even when I can’t draw a tag watching your content is like being right there in the hunt. Also every time I watch and rewatch a hunt I learn something new. Keep the great content coming!

Ha ha! But only 4 and a half of those big game animals were mine! I’m spoiled. We eat a lot AND we prep a lot-I don’t like being dependent for food; I like to have a couple year’s worth of food storage. When covi hit, we were good-we didn’t need to buy anything; would that all Americans did that. 😊
