Loved the recap at the end of the hunt, so many times the goofiness and the smiles are left out of hunt films because people are trying to show how serious and badass they are.. when I’m reality we all love hunting because it’s fun, even if it’s type 2 fun. Was great to see a bit of the lighter moments at the end 🤙🏽 looking forward to what comes of the “off season”
I live in Colorado, I do all my hunting alone, and I do a lot of backcountry hunting elk and deer. I have a pitbull that I take with me he stays by my side and is well-trained he's alerted me to mountain lions that I had no idea were close to me. As well as he's definitely a deterrent for things coming into camp

Does he not bark/move/give you away if you are working a bull elk? Seems like a major hinderence if you are in thick country?

Outstanding ending to an epic hunt. Was bummed Mark didn't get a bear. For a different gun option, I started carrying a Smith and Wesson 340PD ultralight 357. Less shots but lots of shooting power. Just get a blue heeler, don't over think it. Good work Brian.
Don't worry about Mark, Mark had his chances and the trip was epic. These guys are the real deal and I can't wait for spring 2020. I call first shooter. LOL

Take a look at curr dogs. Mountain currs probably be a dog that fills that role. Intensely protective and game bred. Takes real well to training. Another awesome video. I never believe anyone when they say they watch a youtube channel with their kids but I can %100 say I watch this channel on the big tv. me and my 2 kids watch your shows.

Really liked the end of the hunt were it shows the enter action between hunting companions. It just reinstates that when we are out there it is more than the hunt but the bond that we form that can only be formed while doing the daily hunting grind. Again as always keep up the great work.

I loved this series. I too have hunted backcountry alone for many years. I have raised labs that have always hunted with me. They know how to hunt with me no matter what the game. Always faithful and always ready to alert me to any cougar or bear on the area.
Absolutely a pleasure to watch. Puts a new meaning to fair chase hiking through that kinda country. Congrats on a epic hunt, two beautiful bears and a top quality channel.

I enjoyed the series. I can relate to Mark huffing up the hills and the llamas were a cool add.
Lots of bear activity and encounters kept each episode lively too.

Loved the narration from Mark. It definitely lends a different perspective as you and Ryan make serious back country hunts look easy which I know it is not. The other thing that I can appreciate is that I just turned 64yo so I can relate to Mark.
On another note: I know it's a personal preference but I would feel under-gunned w a 9mil. I'm in Montana so I carry a smith model 69. It's easy to carry but only has 5 shots. Presently, I am building a 460 rowland for more capacity in a 1911 frame w almost 44mag power.
Also, I would love to see grizzlies but from my truck.haha

As a hunter, I understand just how hard it would be to do the style of hunting you are doing but to also go to the trouble to video your own hunt must take incredible effort. I’m old enough to know that you’ve done it long enough I’m sure you found Shortcuts in doing some things and that overtime it has become easier to do but Brian it’s s still very impressive
I’m like you. Hunt high density grizzly country…..it’s always on your mind and you always have to be bear aware, but I love it. I love being in dangerous game country.
Luv the lamas they get around great. I am 62 and I think it's time to get some. If your looking for a good camp dog you can't go wrong with a Queensland heeler. Very protective and controllable. Reasonably priced many good ones around. Great video keep up coming. Good luck and good hunting

If you're looking for a really trainable dog for security against animals, I highly recommend a black mouth cur. They are 40-70lbs, have a huge bark, and are extremely loyal. The southern black mouth curs are often used to hunt squirrels, bobcats, and bears. They have a variety of different coats and can do really well in both hot and cold weather. My brother and I live in the Yaak River Valley and he has a BMC for property protection against black and grizzly bears, wolves, and coyotes. As such, he mostly lives outside, aside from when temps get down to -25°f or high as 100°f. Very versatile, trainable, loyal dog.

Love your videos. Great job. Really enjoy everything you said about the grizzlies. I am sure I would have a hard time sleep with bears that close. You guys are really in hunting shape and I guess it is an all year process. Once you get your bears mounted, I would love to see them.
