I have a Chronomaster Open T and I love looking at the escapement at work, it is mesmerizing. Zenith make amazing watches and the El Primero movement is right up there with the Lemania 2310 for its horological significance.
I'm not the biggest fun of the open heart type watches - they look kinda cheap for me, like a lot of random watches you can find in the mall. But this one is stunning, probably my new favorite from Zenith.
Love mine, weight 133g, L2L of 46mm Dia 40 mm its on the money, the times i take it off and just watch it spinning, back and front, and then there is the “be a bit different”, you dont often bump into another Zenith wearer like some brands ☺️ keep going Zenith
I have my eyes on the white dial chronomaster sport as my next purchase! How's the watch been treating you 4 weeks later? Huge fan of Zenith because of the way they proportion their watches. Not to ramble, but I'm sick of certain companies releasing models in the 37-39 mm range, but then tacking on lugs that are 48-50mm on their (looking at you IWC and Longines, though Longines is coming around). But with Zenith, they always get the proportions spot on imo. The Chronomaster Sport with 41mm case and 46mm lugs will work on so many wrists.
I always look at this watch and I’m split so 50:50 about it. Like if I want a skeleton I’ll get a skeleton, if I don’t then I don’t. But I never seem to want a mixture of both. TBH I think it’s the way they executed it is just not my favorite. The watch and zenith in general is stunning don’t get me wrong but the obstruction of the hours and how it doesn’t look symmetrical is just slightly off putting. No doubt I want a zenith but I don’t think I want this one.
I don’t know why watch designers at zenith chose to go with Sapphire disk at 9 marker, is bad design in terms of readability. But other than that design quirk, I love open work El Primero.
I really dislike having stars on the dial. This with the open heart style does make it look cheap, like a mall watch. With that said I do like Zenith a lot. Just not the star. I have the same sentiment with Longines and their stars.
Yeah, I'm not really a fan of this. Cumbersome is a good way to put it. Like the "1/10th of a second" wording which isn't needed and, even worse, makes it so the first "1" of the 1/10th counter isn't even printed on the dial which is especially bad given it's not like you can easily use the dial indices since it doesn't correspond with the 12 subdivision of the indices being a 1/10th counter. Just such a poor choice of design. You make a 1/10th counter but dont even have the first digit of the counter itself on your dial because you feel it's more important to remind the wearer that that's what their watch does? They might as well remove the 12 o'clock indice and just put "wristwatch" there, just in case the wearer forgets what they're wearing.
Man this is beautiful watch

I’m there with you. My opinion is that open heart designs work if you’re showing something off that’s a little more unique, like a 5hz escapement.
The dial is beautiful but it’s a bit chubby. It isn’t that thick but it looks bulky because of the case shape
I have this watch and absolutely love it!! The unbalanced open dial makes it more interesting but I get it isn’t for everyone.

I think it's beautiful, one of my favourite watches.
Love my defy 21.
I own the classic car zenith. Fantastic watch and movement but I think Zenith prices have gone nuts over the past 3 yrs...j
This model with white dial looks incredible. Not so sure about black.
Really awesome watch!
I still prefer chronomaster sport or normal chronomaster. Just got a chrono sport and absolutely love it.

Very busy ,alot going on...I'm sold
Zenith is such a sick brand. Feel like once I get one I will want a bunch. Vintage zenith is cheap!
Wonderful watch !!!! Who need to buy a DAYTONA .????
I can't tell if I love it or hate it....
Zenith is very underrated, for chronograph i would choose Zenith over Rolex Daytonas any day.

Defy Skeleton for you most likely :D
I love the el Primero movement but Zenith desperately needs to hire Guido Terreni to add some elegance and refinement to their watches.
the servicing on that watch must be so expensive 😭
Not for me, but Zenith is a great brand

Great looking watch but Zenith needs to upgrade their clasps with tool-less micro adjust. There's no excuse at the ~$10k price point.

Dial is totally unbalanced.
not a fan of the stars
That is a very ugly watch, dare I say cumbersome in its design.
