I mean Gon and Killua have been directly mentored by Wing, Bisky, and Kite, and I don’t think one of them could singularly claim them.
I always thought of Saccho's "problem hunting" as more like solving great mysteries or enigmas. Like he's the guy you call to figure out King Tut's Curse, or where Amelia Earhart disappeared to, or where Atlantis is, or what the Antikytheria Mechanism does. Stuff that's a little bit too weird and undefined for the other hunters to bother with, but that might actually be real because there's a lot of supernatural things in the HxH world.
Honestly its also really likely some of the 1 stars just straight up died over the years because of how dangerous this world is. Especially crime fighters

So if we assume that Zoldyck is at least 80, probably much older considering he was probably trained in nen from an extremely young age and is also an extremely gifted practitioner, and then compare how much Netero aged in the time that it took Zoldyck to reach his old man status, Netero could have been around for near a millennium or more. Possibly MUCH more, though I would estimate that he ages about 20 years per century based on the art I've seen, making him close to 400 at the times of his death.

Little off topic, but were the chimera ants seen as a worlds ending threat bybthe hunter association? They sent an old netero on a suicide mission but none of the zodiacs. If they were seen as a huge threat would they not of sent Ging and a few other zodiacs? Im not saying they weren't seen as the biggest threat possible but its always made me wonder
They are a B rank threat, the only thing separating B rank and A rank threats is that the method to deal with the latter is unknown, but the former is still considered a global threat that requires immediate eradication no matter the cost. The Chimera Ants were about to become a massive global problem if the Selection process was successful, so saying that they are not threat is just inaccurate.
