@@3a720p well the 3 sacred treasures of Japan are known to the public and I'm sure tons of fakes have been made of them over the years so it makes sense
I read a theory that part of why the monks are so well-preserved is bc the process they go through of slowly starving themselves helps to eventually kill a lot of the microorganisms that live in and on us, that are a significant part of our decaying process. It's very interesting. Also I think some believe that in this process they are purifying their spirit which they feel is what helps preserve them. Similar to beliefs about bodies of Saints not decomposing etc.
With all the post-mortem Nen we've encountered in this arc, as soon as I saw the Lotus Anchorite, I immediately thought of Sokushinbutsu. Folks would likely recognize these from examples in both Inuyasha, and more recently, Jujutsu Kaisen. It is almost definitely not just a statue.
Fact: The succession war's complicated is abound with postmortem nen. Fact: At least the Seed Urn is a nen construct. Near Certainty: The Anchorite is a real mummy. Guess: Whoever the Anchorite is, is the actual nen-user for the effects powering the succession war. Theory: Chrollo could use Bandit's Secret to "steal" the treasures if there is some conceivable way for him to receive an answer from the Anchorite. So what if Chrollo's seeking a nen ability that allows him to ask the dead questions? The Anchorite, if a complete corpse, has a palm, is using an ability to enforce the succession war's rules and the effects of that are easy to see. Or I guess the Fun-Fun Cloth would work.

Also, this world doesn't seem to have rockets or satellites or even jet aircraft. The only rocket I recall seeing was when Tsubone changed herself into a weird rocket sled that looked like it was from a 1930s sci fi movie, so maybe nobody on the planet ever saw their world from space. I'd like to see a video on this, on the shape of the Hunter x Hunter world. I'd also like to Mizaistom Nana in a Chick Fil A commercial.

Love videos like these! I know you do long form One Piece videos and would love to see long form HxH as well! Maybe go over all the known artifacts in the manga 🤔
Just a quick note about Kusanagi. It wasn't used to slay Orochi. It was found inside it after Susano-O killed it. He then presented it to Amaterasu as proof he had reformed and became a better person. Which is why it's part of the Regalia.
Honestly the more you talked in this video, the more parallels I could draw between what’s happening rn in HxH and what happens in Haruki Murakami’s books. I see a lot of overlap with details and instances
If Chrollo manages to steal the artifacts, it could be a complete gamechanger for Tserriednich. If stealing the Lotus anchorite and the Seed Urn impacts the guardian beasts they brought to life, maybe all those beasts would cease to exist the moment those artifacts are in enemy hands (someone no affiliated with Kakin). Who would be the only prince still left with a Nen beast though? Tserriednich - he created a personal Nen beast on his own, one that isn't dependent on the artifacts.
The ethnicities don't seem very unified when there's a hereditary monarchy of just one ethnicity. It's like saying the English and Irish were unified. No, the Yamato people and English dominate their respective minorities in their country (though thankfully most of the Irish won their fight for independence eventually). It seems more like the Stone of Scone, which English monarchs sit on to symbolize their rule over both England and Scotland.
Hey so i really appreciate your videos and just want to know how you are producing these content in so little time , can you make a video about it i watched your previous ones but i think you improve a lot from that time . Thanks.
Thinking of how the seed urn gave tserreidnich a spirit beast that prevents women from lying to him, which is comparatively 'lame' to the others whereas his awakened spirit beast is much impressiverrrr. So maybe the circumstance of his impending death awakened it, possibly even in any death scenario he could've faced, making it the first pre- or ob-mortem nen ability ?
Im wagering its thr blade hea after. Mainly bc i have a feeling part of its power is to be able to kill someone regardless of their nen or guardian spirit abilities. It acts as a guaranteed way of making sure the previous king, as well as the sacrificed princes are without a doubt dead. That way he could takeout hisoka permanently.
So I have this crazy theory - the succession contest winner will obtain a super powerful ability - bungee gum. Now stay with me, it contains properties of both rubber and gum, which makes it EXTREMALLY universal.
Speaking on the Lotus Anchorite, if the princes and nen beasts become aware of each other, I wonder who would be the first one shown. I assume it would be Kacho-beast since her prince is already gone and she may notice something different in the contest. Maybe even Fugetsu, as well.
One thing about the coffins. It is possible that each Prince has a custom sized coffin. Meaning they have one for each but plan to leave one unused. Just a thought
These sure would be useful if Chrollo was attempting to turn the conceptual spider into an actual vengeful nen spirit or curse He's too smart to let more of his friends die one by one without a reason or backup plan. Spider cannibalism is a thing and some are even believed to sacrifice themselves
If he were to acquire a specific artifact and essentially end the Kakine war of succession. It would become a good ole fashioned war of succession which would be much more entertaining.
I think Chrollo might be a secret Kakin Prince and is trying to get into the succession contest. So he will be going for the jar first amongst all the artifacts.
Finding out about Japan having these three royal relics made me think of King's Quest of all things.... so I'm about to go on a tangent about THAT because I'm fascinated on whether or not that very American game series was making an intentional reference to Japan's royal mythology way back when the King's Quest series was actually still culturally relevant. In King's Quest, the Kingdom of Daventry is in decline and the King has no heirs, so he's decreed that his greatest knight, a man who isn't even wearing armor or carrying a sword, will gain the throne if he's able to recover the three royal treasures lost ages ago and bring the kingdom back to prosperity. The throne of this embodies three virtues, courage, wisdom, and benevolence. The first of these treasures is the Chest of Gold (that's all it's called), which is a magical bottomless chest filled with golden coins (presumably magically bearing the mark of Daventry, a D on one side and the current ruler's head on the other) that refills itself every time gold is taken from it. Sounds amazing and then two seconds later you remember how "value" works and you realize just how devastating it's misuse would be in the wrong hands. Ideally gold is used to boost the prosperity of the kingdom sparingly, a little extra gold here a little there, just enough to prevent the secret from getting out and for the value of gold to suddenly plummet. Presumably this chest embodies benevolence, which must also be given well but with careful thought. Presumably this chest would be the equivalent of Japan's sacred tear shaped jewel thingy that I'm not even going to try to spell. The second of these is Merlin's Mirror, a magical mirror that can foretell the future, but chooses what it shows of it's own accord. A ruler that can tell when and where they may be invaded, or a natural disaster might strike, or when famine or drought may be coming, will have a VERY prosperous nation indeed. It's also been used to show images of "true loves" in other places, and at least once a fairy "hijacked" it's magic to turn it into a two-way teleconference with someone nearby. Oh, and at one point it was cursed with a cloudy surface preventing it's use until the curse was broken. This one obviously represents wisdom, namely for it's selective revelations in that it tries not to reveal, and thus set in stone, an absolute outcome of it's prediction, but only the onset of those troubles to allow whatever happens after that to be changed through preparation. And the third, standing apart from the sword used in both Japan and in Hunter TIMES Hunter, is the Shield of Achille, a shield granting complete and total invulnerability to the user. It's rather easy to lead from the front when you can take every single attack aimed your way (and presumably it's effect extends to the entire army the wielder leads). I suppose it's debatable just how well this shield embodies true courage, but it can still be stolen and presumably it DOES have a weakness of some kind since well... it's named after Achille. Based on what it hadn't worked against, presumably it's magic it's weak against. What's notable is the switch from an offensive item like a sword to a defensive one like a shield. Daventry is not a land of conquest, caring only to defend itself. It's fascinating to think this was likely intentional, but I don't know for sure. I guess someone could ask Roberta Williams what her inspiration was, since she's still alive and kicking, and returned to designing games fairly recently.
Maybe Chrollo isn't after the artifacts for their abilities. Perhaps his own ability evolves depending on how valuable the things he and the Troupe steal. Kind of like Morena's ability but for thievery rather than murder.
Whether it’s Beyond or Terror Sandwich or Halkenburg that he fights at the end of the arc I would like to see our Boi Kurapika in his Blue Kurta clan Vest again
I love the nen system but sometimes this series gets so goddamn complicated. The fight between chrollo and hisuka comes to mind. And after this crazy shiii hisoka is still alive like my brain hurts
I can't believe that this arc feels like it's about to enter its climax after years of wondering if hunter x hunter would ever return and finish this arc. 🙏 please let us see the dark continent arc 🙏
I have this theory where Chrollo’s ability skill hunter evolves if he steals a national treasure. Which could explain the “annoying conditions” he had to do to get the bookmark. So I think chrollo is stealing the treasures so he can evolve skill hunter to do more shit to kill hisoka
A special blade that let's you see into the future? More like The Sword of Omens, amirite? Togashi is old enough to have seen Thundercats at a young age, lol.
Its a symbol in our reality but in hxh world it means other. Chrollo says if he manages to steal it will boost his nen. So those artifact is actually harvesting the faith or beliefs of kakin citizen that is being feedback towards the royal family. Its amazing that it taps to theme itself and that is accumulation of nen power through vow. Humans can die on old age but if its artifact it will continue as long the nen vow is followed.
I don't think Natsubi will just lay down and die. That seems opposite to all of his beliefs. There's probably a final stage of the succession that gives the king a fair chance to win, stay in power, and reap massive rewards.
My 1st thought is that the 14th coffin is for morena.. Or my 2nd guest is that the winner is forced to kiell their own mother.. And the 3rd is for the previous king.. But the 1st is not that dark.. And the 3rd is too easy to read.. 😅 So, i'll go with the 2nd.
Whats the lil symbol you used for chrollo at the end when he stamped the strawhats? Or more so what is it implying? Is that like when he started converting everyone back at heavens arena? Sorry i dont quite remember the reference!
Weren't the other 2 Kakin Mafia leaders also illegitimate sons? The 15 kids' coincidence doesn't really make much sense if that's the case because they would be 17.
Is it possible that the ability Chrollo is trying to steal is the abilities found within these relics? Like he made a condition that by stealing the objects their abilities will appear in the book thus allowing ppl from his city to gain random abilities similarly like the kakuin royalties.
I like to think if the mummy theory is legit. That a condition for if all the contestants die or if any of the nen treasures are destroyed, all the royals die and the mummy rejuvenate and becomes king.
Wouldn’t it be logical for such powerful abilities/objects to also have some type of effect to someone trying to steal it(a non contestant) similar to what happened to Kacho when she tried to leave the black whale
I imagine the sword simply exists as an easy way to kill the king/princes, since their beasts would otherwise not allow it, and the succession war wouldnt end.

I always thought the seed urn was based on the ancient Japanese Dogu statues.
I can't believe that this arc feels like it's about to enter its climax after years of wondering if hunter x hunter would ever return and finish this arc. 🙏 please let us see the dark continent arc 🙏
Chrollo and kurapika teaming up would be the best plot twist
I have this theory where Chrollo’s ability skill hunter evolves if he steals a national treasure. Which could explain the “annoying conditions” he had to do to get the bookmark. So I think chrollo is stealing the treasures so he can evolve skill hunter to do more shit to kill hisoka
A special blade that let's you see into the future? More like The Sword of Omens, amirite?
Togashi is old enough to have seen Thundercats at a young age, lol.
I wonder if togashi has a member of his team watch these videos then togashi gets mad that Liam keeps guessing how the story goes
2:23 Essentially what Kizaru spammed at marineford
True antagonist is the first kakin king, he is possessing his descendants when they win the succession war
If Oito turns out to be Beyond's daughter, the 7:54 part will seem so wrong.
If that is the peak that the HxH world has to offer, then that's saying A LOT about the Kakin Empire.
My 1st thought is that the 14th coffin is for morena..
Or my 2nd guest is that the winner is forced to kiell their own mother..
And the 3rd is for the previous king..
But the 1st is not that dark..
And the 3rd is too easy to read.. 😅
So, i'll go with the 2nd.
Appreciate you, bro you make my day with these videos
amaterasu and susanoo feels like I’m reading Naruto 🫡
If you were a body builder, you would make a good Guile from Street Fighter.
Love the vids and thank you 😀
Whats the lil symbol you used for chrollo at the end when he stamped the strawhats? Or more so what is it implying? Is that like when he started converting everyone back at heavens arena? Sorry i dont quite remember the reference!
Weren't the other 2 Kakin Mafia leaders also illegitimate sons? The 15 kids' coincidence doesn't really make much sense if that's the case because they would be 17.
Cha R and Xi yu's bosses are nasubi's brother not children
@@daffakandias7386 Woah, I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me
I believe majority missed it, but seed urn was introduced in the episode 48 of 2011, not sure about manga chapter number.
Melodussy is the most terrifying cursed word in this channel
Is it possible that the ability Chrollo is trying to steal is the abilities found within these relics? Like he made a condition that by stealing the objects their abilities will appear in the book thus allowing ppl from his city to gain random abilities similarly like the kakuin royalties.
I demand that you change Morena's cut outs to have green hair!
I think it’s safe to assume that the hands that appeared on the escape pod that killed kacho belongs to the mummy artifact right???
New theory Nobunaga will trick Hinrigh with the information he gained about the Waste Disposal if they do meet
Never forget Liam said "melodussy"
I think Chrollo will some how get his hands on a nen beast. Either he steals one or he gets one from the vase.
I like to think if the mummy theory is legit. That a condition for if all the contestants die or if any of the nen treasures are destroyed, all the royals die and the mummy rejuvenate and becomes king.
NWR knows Togashi personally that’s how he knows all these “theories”
Wouldn’t it be logical for such powerful abilities/objects to also have some type of effect to someone trying to steal it(a non contestant) similar to what happened to Kacho when she tried to leave the black whale
I’m curious if it was one kakin king who made all three nen objects or three different kings because that’s a crazy amount of post mortum nen
Keep up the amazing work and videos Liam
I'm just imagining them trying to stuff the king's body into one of those tiny coffins 😆 going to need a new nen ability to make that work
Now I feel like trying one of those Hulkenburguers
What’s Chrollo marking Straw Hats with the Chinese character 人 at the end of the video a reference to?
Inuyasha was the first place I learned of living buddhas or mummified Buddha statues
How far do you think gings plan for gon goes? Luke do you still think he has plans for gon? Or do you think it ended once he “accidentally” found gon.
Keep em coming!
I imagine the sword simply exists as an easy way to kill the king/princes, since their beasts would otherwise not allow it, and the succession war wouldnt end.
I have a crazy idea. What if Ken'i Wang is a cursed children of Beyond Netero?...
