Thanks for the rules explanation. I love national parks and have been excited about this game for a while, but couldn't convince my wife we should get it. Now she agrees we should get it. Now if I can only find it somewhere..........
Hi Gary, the new edition is available for pre-order and will be delivering very soon! You can get it here: www.underdoggames.com/products/trekking-the-national-parks
Can you move (first action), land on another player, send them to starrt, and then move again ( your second action)? Or only send a player back to start if you end your turn by landing on the player?
My family and I have this game! We play mostly how you are supposed to but we kind of add a bit of our own rules! Because we think it’s fun that way! We love this game
We are having a hard time figuring out how to even play. We gave up. The video plays like an SNL commercial skit so it’s hard to follow and a little comical.
Yes, on page 6 of the Rule Book it says: "All players are free to occupy any Major Park in play, even if it has already been occupied by another player."
"You may only occupy each Major Park once. in the rules book" What's that? I can only occupy one Major park or I can occupy 3 Major parks cause I have 3 campsites?
Thank you for explaining the official way to play! We got this game as a gift, and we are park enthusiasts! With that said, my wife doesn't like playing board games because she says she always loses. So, I'm interested in playing this game cooperatively, meaning that I would love ideas on how to tweak rules into a set of house rules that will allow us to cooperatively play. Any suggestions are welcome! I'll start... The bear could be the common foe, and the appearance of a bear could be triggered by something in the game (I haven't played it yet, but those with experience playing could have ideas...). The object of the game could be to visit as many parks as possible collectively... Maybe. Any other suggestions from those that have played before?
We can't stop laughing. This is more complex than D&D. There are so many rules and so many parts - two types of park cards with 3 elements on each, then there's the stones of varying colors. We got this...in 2043!🤔😂
NO ADIRONDACKS? What is this game. Think excluding the biggest park in the US was a mistake. Also it's so wonderful living here. Plenty of board game time in this fall foliage. Game looks great. Although Snubbing the A-Dacks is a shame. Great video though.
Love the enthusiasm for the parks! The park service oversees over 400 units across the nation, however only 60 are considered the major National Parks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_parks_of_the_United_States This doesn't discount the grandeur of any not on the list! My parents went on a bucket list trip to visit all the major parks, and this is what the game was inspired by.
Great job. Thanks! We just got this, can't wait to play it. The board is great quality. Looks like fun!
Incredible explanation and beautiful animation!
Just so perfect and succinct! You are brilliant 🙂

A 2nd edition (shown in the video) is up for pre-order now.

Just received my copy. I preordered from "Underdog games." A 2nd edition was just released .

Do you have to display stones picked up and parks collected so all players can see them?
Super useful explanation! Thank you!

Lol. Helpful, concise explanation for why we’re putting this game away and never touching it again.
Look up a different video, this one sucks

Why do you end all your sentences with “!” ?
@@jealways ur rude
Very nice and concise review!
Excellent rules explanation.
Can more than one person occupy a park? Can there be multiple tents on the major parks?
Yes, on page 6 of the Rule Book it says: "All players are free to occupy any Major Park in play, even if it has already been occupied by another player."
Thanks!
Is claiming a park card and putting a campsite on a major park one or two moves?
They are each one move.
I wanna say thanks to the Binkele family for creating this game. :)
What does the bear token do?
Marks who the first player is. Really no need for it.
"You may only occupy each Major Park once. in the rules book" What's that? I can only occupy one Major park or I can occupy 3 Major parks cause I have 3 campsites?
I would say that means you can just put one campsite in each of the major parks
What’s the bear for??
The bear is a token that goes to player 1.
Great job thank you
I just have a hard time understanding it.
Sweet! A modern game with Hawaii involved! Don't get any ideas of taking actual stones from Hawaii State if you ever visit 🤙🏼
The only thing you should take from a national park is photographs. Other than that, it looks like a really fun and educational game!
You should also take your time.
Take in the beauty.
Can you do the same action twice?
You could draw twice or move twice on your turn, but you wouldn't be able to occupy or claim twice.
I have a hard time understanding the speaker.
Same I still don’t understand does anyone know anything better like the same vid but how to get a different voice maybe??
@@brendadetty8304 I searched and found other videos that were easier to understand.

Looks complicated. Especially for kids
Our 7 year old picked it up with a little help.
I wanted to buy this game but it might be too complicated for our youngest 6 yrs old player 😅 maybe next time but thanks ❤
Looks like a good game, just complicated.

So true!!!! :D
I would love to be able to remember all those details!!!
Thanks :)
Does anyone talk normal anymore in these videos!
sanies
Not helpful what’s so ever! Super confusing but I looked up a different video and it’s wayy better

Garbage! You said you should still read the rule book but it says that the “how to play” video is (easier than the rule book)
Out of focus

The Adirondack Park is a NY State Park, not a National Park.

We LOVED Valley of Fire state park in Nevada while bumming around Bryce and Zion. Some state parks are still amazing!
The board style looks boring. My kid would not want to pay this. Plus rules are super complex. Please stop making these board games they suck.
The rules are actually quite simple. Also, you do realize there are dozens of game designers out there. Maybe you should stick to Candyland.
@@jealways Nice, I'm sure being nasty and condescending will do wonders to help someone to better understand the hobby.
