Biggies word play was beyond imaginable. The way that he expressed himself comes second to none. His technique pretty much gives insight into his life experiences, feelings and thoughts........in addition to who he was mentally. Something that no one can mimmick, much less truly understand.

I used to do it with papers all the time, it's a great skill to have in your arsenal.
Was a big fan of Too Short growing up in the 90's when rap was at its creative peak because they wanted to be nobody else but their own and you can tell how it came out in the music. Glad to be old enough to witness all of that being a fan of it because no matter where we are from or how we lived, we all could relate to the stories these legends told through their songs because we all were affected by it in some way with the music

@@dkmrap1No it's not. It depends on the person. Some rappers have way tougher times writing on paper and they do what works best for them which is not writing their raps down. It all depends on the rapper and what creative process works best for them. Majority of people do lose a crazy amount of quality when they don't write their raps down. There's some that didn't happen to but it happens to the majority. Some of these rappers raps would be way better if they actually wrote them down. Generally it's tougher to write super high quality raps down than to not do it. Not everybody is Biggie and Biggie did write some of his lyrics down too.

The only rapper I’ve thought that wasn’t from this planet was Nas. I think we are blessed to have him. However I’ve seen polls where they asked who was the face of the 90’s and he isn’t winning over Snoop, Dre, Pac and Biggie. He’s been the most consistent rapper of all time with arguably the best album ever and the best first 3 albums ever. Sometimes when your peek last decades you lose as a artist. Similar to what Lil Wayne is going through now.
