The moment the rhythm "clicked" was very satisfying to see
Sheesh it took me awhile actually, it was so syncopated I had to think hard!
@@KaraComparettothe time is weird but as a kid it's why I liked it, it reminded me of jazz so much
At 7 seconds: "I'm not sure how this is gonna go". By 13 seconds, this 90's kid immediately knew what you were playing! You nailed it!
"It's very megaman" I will never see it otherwise again!
Hahah that's what stuck out to me!
@@KaraComparettogirllllll don't make me propose ❤❤❤ 🎶🎶🎵
The “Very Megaman” comment speaks straight to my heart. Megaman and Sonic were my favorites as a kid.
Thank you for adding legitimate musicianship to these arrangements and keeping them alive.
Our generation doesn’t have a Mozart or a Beethoven, but it does have a Koji Kondo and a David Wise.
Love that last bit! Thank you :)
That finger snap like a ragtime/jazz player at 1:48 timewarped me back to the 1930s🤩😎what a BOSS move!!
It’s crazy how universally loved this stage and music is. I’ve loved it since first time I heard and played it in 92.
I am constantly in awe of your sight reading skills! You achieved a level where it's like magic!
Magic is those people with perfect pitch. She strikes me as highly professional and as much as I try to sound unimpressed, she aways break my poker face with her charisma and "goofyness". How not to love?!?
Hahah love knowing I can break you with my tunes XD
@@KaraComparetto You know I love you! Just messing around! If you want to get revenge, and hit me in the nostalgia, search for "Video Games Live - Top Gear" and play it at a slower tempo, increasing gradually.
Parasite Eve also have some nice pieces.
Stumbled into a short yet to fall into algoritm's grace of Final Fantasy theme on organ. I need the full version!!!
And with your gorgeousness❤🥰😍
The level of mental focus as she live-converts the original chip tune techno into a piano composition is incredible. Splendid performance!
Thank you! I get so much enjoyment out of doing this!
Haha! I love that you know your vintage game music so well! “Very Megaman…” awesome!
She just uploaded a 10 minute mega man medley on her other UA-cam channel (twitch highlights) last week as well
ua-cam.com/video/t9XeSzE-7VE/v-deo.htmlsi=5RNL42V6Ys2hmAVp right here! I love mega man!
Love Mega Man!
I don't think I'd call it ASMR, but you're 90's SEGA/SNES tunes have been my lullabies for over a year now..
You had me at Chrono Trigger, but now you brought me right back with Sonic 2 😂. Amazing 😊
LOL hope you're a Donkey Kong fan too, I got a lot of that coming XD
@@KaraComparetto Donkey Kong Country music was my childhood 😅🤗 Can’t wait!
This is the same journey I went on!
Wow, right in the nostalgia. 🥲
One of my all time favorite video game tracks.
Always loved this song. Sonic gas a few bangers worth playing for sure.
Such a great pick from Sonic 2! Love it
Amazing, Kara. Seeing you figure out the rhythm of the song in the beginning is so instructive for me as a piano student. You inspire me so much! Thank you!
Aw thank you! The rhythm at the beginning was so syncopated that it took me a bit!
My favorite level from Sonic 2. Love it, awesome job!
Thank you! I heard it's a really famous one :)
So cool! I never considered how this would sound on piano, I love it!
the background song of my childhood nightmares
well done as always
Bahaha thank you :)
My favorite song from Sonic 2 👍 !
Never thought its richness could be ported to acoustic !
Great use of the piano’s sonic (pun intended) properties!
The final product sounds quite funky and highly spirited as the original
Well done! 👍 (tu tu tuhhh…turururu tuturuuhhh🎼)
It's amazing how many of these wild tracks sound good on the piano! Sometimes it's a no, but most of the time I can make it work! :D thank you!
Nice ride from the get go, including the scat early on 😂😂😂. Great job, Kara❤❤
Like a baby's first step into a puddle of pudding, it was a surprisingly graceful debut at 3:49, until the brain screamed, 'Enoughhh!' 😅😅😅😅.
Been listening to this nonstop for two days!
lies!!!! XD
Wonderful job! 🎹 If you keep up the retro video game music content, within the next few years you will have a few hundred thousand subscribers. The market for this type of content is huge!
1:50 And that's how it feels when actually playing the game at that part, like getting to little more open of a spot and got your bearings..
"It's very megaman..." Lol. So funny and surreal to hear.
i have so much respect for you, seeing you learn this as you go and then just playing it is ABSOLUTELY INSANE
Ahhh thank you
Awesome!! Just spectacular!! I can tell you feel the music. You understand it and it flows inside of you! Amazing!! Thank you!
My favourite track from the entire sonic games... thank you.
Awesome song and awesome to see someone learning it. 😃 👏👏👏
This was a really cool spin (pun intended for any Sonic fans our there xD) on the theme. Had more of a jazzy swing feel to it which I found tasteful. Great job!
Aww this is so delightful! You bring such spunk and energy to the piece. Even though i can't play piano, I love watching your learning/creative process. Your reactions (and even mistakes) are so endeering and genuine. A fun, fantastic performance as always! Never stop dancing on those keys Kara! 🎹🎼🎶
Thank you!! I won’t 🥰
Wow, the way you took to this piece so quickly is so cool. I sight read a bunch myself, but I aspire to sight read pieces of that complexity someday!
I didn't think you could fall in love within 30 seconds... ;)
Awesome job on your first try at this song. I hope you're having a wonderful day, Kara! 😊
You too, thank you Sunny!!
Fantastic take even on the first go!
I get nostalgic with all the 90's video game tracks. ☺
Ah, Sonic, already it conjures up a sense of fun but this really brought a smile to my face. Thanks for cheering up my Monday!
Thanks Philip!!
Sooooo Epic! Immediately brings me back to my childhood. Can't wait to catch one of your streams!
Yes hope to see you at one soon! This week im streaming Wednesday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm (EST) :)
I never noticed that chemical plant has a ragtime feel to it!
Love Sonic music so this was awesome,Kara!
Woww!! Tricky but you got it!!!
Makes me want to play sonic 2
Ela entrando no ritmo é uma das melhores partes pra mim 🥰.
From brazil 🇧🇷
That was a fun listen! I always love when a new video pops up on your channel :D
I felt like it had been awhile since CT, and I have a ton of stuff coming but it's not QUITE ready yet! coming soon though :)
OoooooOOHhhh boy! Kara's with the Sonic now! Let me reach into the trunk for my Sonic requests! lol You go, Kara!
HAHA I really want to play a sonic medley on my live stream soon, that would be fun XD
You are a huge inspiration to me, Kara! Especially when i am learning something that challenges me. I tell people that you are a musician for musicians. :)
Thank you! I love hearing that, I want my music renditions to be understood and accessible to everyone!! Not too wild or crazy
Hugs!@@KaraComparetto
Wow, it does sound a lot like a Megaman track, never noticed the similarity before. Cool vid, thanks Kara!
thank you Hyde!! :D
Awesome First Time Playing Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on Piano! Video.
Love seing you being so human and in the same time admirable :D
The streams are so fun because I can be myself and not worry about a mistake here or there!
What a delight.
"I'm not sure how this is gonna go..."
_proceeds to hammer out near perfect rendition first time_
Sight reading is actually my specialty haha I do it so much on stream that it's like reading a book, but it took me years of experience! XD
@@KaraComparetto It was really great to see you instantly figure out this song, it's probably strange to say it but it really is one of the formative soundtracks of my youth.
The only thing I saw you struggle with was the initial part, the odd intro that bootstraps the whole song, which I can't fault, because it is so very weird, I feel like it might have been inspired by the strange mechanical rhythm of a 1980's dot matrix printer or something like that.
It's a weird robotic sound that I wouldn't be able to transcribe into musical notation if I could write it, and wouldn't be able to reproduce accurately if I could read it, but I loved hearing you play it nonetheless.
I mean more than anything, I can't believe it's 2023 and some one on the internet just casually takes me back to 1992, that's a real gift you have.
Incredible! Amazing performance 👏🏽👏🏽
reminds me of The Doors song "touch me" towards the end.
Great call on the mega man tip!!
Yeah so similar I thought!!
that was a tough one. but you were great one morte time !!
Lovely 😍
That was awesome Kara. 👏👏💚
Thank you!!😊❤
Definitely enjoyed this! Love the memories you invoke with your playing. You mentioned Mega Man in your video….could those pieces be in the future?
not in the future, in the past!! >:) ua-cam.com/video/t9XeSzE-7VE/v-deo.htmlsi=CeDi1P8V_Pchp2VM lol I'd like to do another one soon
Yes,but have you tried "Aquatic Ruin Zone?"
www.vxtiktok.com/@karacomparetto/video/7197061555257691435 don't underestimate me >:) LOL
Amazing as always. ✨✨✨
😂 chrono trigger brought me to this channel and now I’m binge watching all the videos ❤❤
YESSSS!!!

@@KaraComparetto thank you 😊 💯❤️
😊😊😊😊😊 so awesome to hear it thus way. 🍻
"It's very a ... Megaman" haha indeed ! Flying Battery from Sonic 3 is "very Megaman" too xD
Oh I dont know if ive played that one!
Rock onn, Kara!
Whew Whew!!
🎹🎶🎶🎶
( You made me laugh )
😆 lol 🤘
ahh thank you!
Wonderful❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't know what source the sheet music came from, but sometimes they just get some of it wrong when converting from the original chiptune notes.
Super dope. This is getting a like.
Ahaha thank you :D
Awesome!
this ones tough 🥺💖
lots of memories with this one
👍
Awesome
Genius ❤
You were imparting a Megaman feel to it, but it has a different feel in the game. The melody is played as a synth solo with the rest having a slightly accentuated quarter note pulse like a bassist or drummer might do in a funk or blues band.
I used to get stuck on that level as a kid, so I’ve spent many hours listening to it.
Aaaww dude if she didnt know sonic 2 she's totally getting it as shes working the song out. i F*ckking LOVE THISSS ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I never owned a Sega when I was a kid- we would go to my cousin's house Thanksgiving Day every year and they would play Sonic, but they never let me play because I was just a little girl LOL. So it's all new to me, but so much fun!
@@KaraComparettoThat wasn't fair to you😢
It doesn't get much better than Chemical Plant! I'm adding this to my list of songs to bump!
Yeah come to think of it...it probably hasn't been requested since this video, it's about time! :D
Well done.
Waaaay past cool!
Marcou a infância de muita gente sensacional ❤
god i love her
Nice
It would be lovely to hear some from Phantasy Star games (first 4 games). There are marvelous tracks in them.
And Celeste maybe? :) Resurrection is a bit everywhere… though it’s amazing. But maybe Farewell? :)
Yay?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Super legal, ela reage com entusiasmo e felicidade ao ouvir o som, me emociono da mesma forma...
Excelente ❤❤😂❤❤
This is my favorite track from Sonic 2
I hear it's a popular one!
I’m an old school final fantasy fan and that’s how I found you but this one of my favourite VGM tunes! Well done! Have you done Link to the Past Hyrule Castle already?
I thought I had a version of me playing it on TikTok but I guess not XD I have the music and have played it on live streams though, it's a good one! I'm glad you found my music!! If you're old school FF, you're gonna love my release at the beginning of next year :)
where do you get the sheet music? I want that Castlevania one!
Nice 🇧🇷
I don't know if I ever considered that this kinda works for some MegaMan game
👏😊👍
I'm glad i'm not the only one 1:51
Am I missing something? XD
@@KaraComparetto chemical plant zone does sound like a megaman song 😆
@@AreezRexYou should have time stamped 2:01.
@@killerb255 Thank you!🙏
👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
Where do you get the sheet music from?
How do you keep topping yourself 🫡
Wait till you see my hour long Mario medley I played last night XD I'm gonna post soon!
Great job ! that sheet isn't very good tho, 1:40 has the wrong bass notes, it seems they forgot the harmony here and just put octaves... :p
Actually it's probably in the sheets but I didn't play it XD I learned in 5 minutes but didn't go overboard on getting everything perfect hehe
I hope you do some Zelda medleys.
I did a 30 minute Zelda medley last week XD but I doubt I'll post here, I have so many medleys I recorded recently. If you sub to my alternate account, I should be posting that medley at some point in the near future! www.youtube.com/@KaraKomparetto-fv9hq
@@KaraComparetto That's awesome, can't wait to hear it.
pretty amazing. This is hard enough to play but then doing every part at once...
Being good at sightreading is so damn cool, but I'm to lazy to practice 😩
At least you're honest LOL! Trust me, there are a lot of things I'd be better at if I wasn't too lazy to work at it XD
Yeah, I wish I could do it. I manage being able to read the treble clef right hand bits. The bass clef bits and chords throw me off.
It works pretty well on 🎹 I think
yeah I thought so too!
What is the context for these, do you listen to the tunes and try to get them by ear, or do the song requesters provide you with a music sheet to learn from?
On my live streams, I have a list of almost 3000 songs that people like you will submit to be approved for the list! People will send me sheet music and I'll add it to the list to be learned during a live stream. So this was requested by someone during a stream, and I read the sheet music they send. Most of the time I don't have to look it up on UA-cam, but if there isn't a tempo marking in the music, or I just want to hear the style, I'll take a listen!
