I'm still here in 2020 wishing this were true. hands down my favorite Sonic arrangement of all time. it's criminally underrated and deserves to be performed.
Let's take a moment to appreciate how damn good the bass player was too. He killed it on every single one of those 1 bar solos.

the Ibanez AS93 is great for jazz/rock. Super versatile guitar and not that expensive. For overdrive sounds I'm using the xotic AC booster, and the amp is a Fender Hot Rod.

So many people here talking up the bass player, but we can't ignore the drums holding the set together and keeping the flow going. This video is such a bop, 10/10

When I looked at the song and length of this video I figured it would drag on quite a bit, but they did manage to actually keep it very interesting for the whole ten minutes.

It's called a clavichord. A staple of both baroque and funk, this guy got some sort of wah effect on it.

I actually swapped out my pickups for something a little different and had my active electronics disabled (they're still in there, just not hooked up). The pickups in this guitar now are Dimarzio PAF 36th anniversary, with the black covers. It's vintage output but it looks gnarly with it being all black!

Really wanted to hear that lead melody played by the sax, rather than guitar.
SMAAAASHTV I thought I was the only one that thought this. The arrangement is awesome but I think the lead could've alternated between the sax and the guitar to give the sax more to do

Bruno Coppola tbh I genuinely enjoyed this arrangement. Right after I posted that comment I was like ahhhh it probably didn't matter that much. I'm a sax player so sometimes I get salty when the sax isn't popping off. They look like they had a lot of fun and it sounds amazing

I requested this song at PAX South last year, when they had only a 3 man ensemble of drums, sax, and keyboard. It sounds exactly how good you're imagining on sax =)
