He himself said in this podcast that, the biggest change in him according to the people around him after becoming a dad is that he have started to crack a lot of dad jokes. Which does make sense cause given his introverted personality, it's little unusual. But good for him and his daughter lol

I think that’s the most mature and honest answer (also probably the most direct) he’s ever given since leaving the band. As a huge directioner then, and till this day, it hurt so much and I was so disappointed when Zayn left, but as I got older I realised the truth of what he said and finally understand why he did what he did. It sucks to admit, but it was probably for the best
yeah I was also very upset at that time but growing up now I understand that it was the best decision he made for himself. I also have anxiety so I understand his perspective quite well.

I love that zayn generalised it. I’m sure the boys loved each other, but when you’re overworked, dealing with your own issues, you tend to get sick of the environment. There were of course minor disagreements between them, and they were all tired, so I’m sure they were meaning to take a break but their management was reluctant to give them one. And they were going to boost harry up and kind of have him as the main star, which was stupid because each of the boys had their own excellence and their own style of singing, they all played a part but management loved to play sneaky. So this was more of a business move, rather than out of spite.
Zayn also hates touring, and he only ever promotes his stuff over instagram, and doesn’t really do press, interviews or go on tour like the rest of the boys. Im surprised he did this one but he looks great and im glad he’s feeling good.
I hope they all one day do a live hang out and just catch up, we don’t need any music, we don’t need any tours, just one more time of them being together, we’ll hope for a reunion but when they’re all ready to.

Regardless what people say leaving the band was the best decision he made.Dealing with thousands of people on daily basis when you have anxiety is no joke. They all were all oveerworked but Zayn also had to deal with all the racism we know about. Nothing comes before before health & mental peace

yep, it was really bad. Several articles joking that Zayn left the band to join ISIS. Someone even made a song on Spotify called 'Zayn did 9/11'. To this day he's the target of racism and Islamophobia
becoming a dad was the best thing that could have ever happened to him, it changed his perspective completely for the better ❤

Tbf all of them auditioned for X Factor as solo artists. They were thrown into a band together. You can't blame any of the members for wanting to leave.

Leaving the band was the best decision indeed. It worked out for him very well. He looks very much healthier & relax now. I'm happy for him
I love how in a way Zayn has come full circle, in the sense that when he first left he seemed upset and almost bitter about his time in 1D but now he seems more reminiscent and appreciative of his time with the boys. Hopefully one day they can all be on speaking terms and be happy with each others company.

He said they had good times and were close, but they just grew out of each other like a lot of friend groups do in their 20s! Spending most days around each other is a lot and to be honest I couldn’t even spend everyday with my best friends.. they rarely got breaks from each other! I’m sure they all look back on their time together now more fondly than in the moment..
that’s fair i remember being 15 just hearing about it and being disheveled 😂 but now i’m 23, have had more life experience it makes sense they weren’t going to make it long term. looking back they were more cogs in a machine than anything

It really wasn’t .. everyone loved his solos in the band too, we knew he was talented from the start. There’s more to why he left but I’m sure he’d never spill the little details as they all have signed things.

Only reason 1D went on hiatus was because Harry wanted to go solo yet zayn got vilified for wanting to do the exact same thing.. he was right to leave. Band would have broken up regardless and look how well his first album did 🔥

To be honest, I remember someone said in the comments on a 1D video that has stuck in my mind when thinking about a 1 Direction Reunion. They said "The boys will come back once they do everything they've wanted to do in their solo career". That's how I see it when it comes to a reunion, and at the end of the day we should be happy the boys are doing what they want to do.

As fans we were hurt but if we see from their perspective, they had to progress and somewhere they knew that being in a group for so long would not make people intrigued about knowing them individually and they were always referred to as a group. They wanted to be known as an individual and which is why they left the group one after the other. It's not like they were sick of each other but progress comes with compromises which they understood at a very young age and maybe that is the reason now people know them as an individual. Just because they don't work anymore together doesn't mean they are not friends.

Exactly. In February of 2015, Zahn confronted H while on tour about resigning and what was going on. They had huge fight. ZAHN felt he had no control of his life, stopped eating, and a few weeks later, he left 1D. The Azoffs were in contract to buy H and by August of 2015, the money offer was right and Harry called "hiatus" Without Zahn and Harry, 1D was over.

Oh guys! Stop asking him why he did something in the past. Imagine someone asked you over and over again why you changed your workplace, what happend 10 years ago. What they had was no life or freedom. They were a product and it is sad that such kind of "entertainment" still exists. That's not how you deal with artist/humans- no matter in which area.
