Riot squad did the exact same thing to a homeless guy back last year when the riots happened. They dragged him up off the ground and just got his feet under him and then they forcefully pushed him knocking him to the ground. Very much inappropriate behavior. Little did we know we be talking about something similar while at the same time these unvetted migrants get housed. Disgraceful! Well done Gript, keep reporting the real news👍🏻

I guess the interviewer didn't see the footage. It was all on video - the man being attacked on the ground, her calling out that she is a reporter, more than once, and we clearly saw the gardai, or whoever they had hired, pepper-spraying her.
I don't know why some of these interviewers and politicians don't look at the evidence. Everyone knows what happened. Heads in the sand.
I think the riot squad visited the drug squad before they started their shift.

A point well made. Can the people assaulted make complaints to gsoc? Somebody please get legal representation and take this further. Human rights infringements? Can planning queries/conplaints be put in against Every ipas centre? Something has to be done.
You should able to sue individual garda like in the states
In the states the cops have "qualified immunity" so astronomical amounts are paid in compensation to victims by the taxpayers. It would be unusual for the cop to face charges, no accountability. Even if they're fired they walk into another job at another police station in another state. Corrupt cops are a big problem in the US too, and people feel that qualified immunity should be done away with and you should be able to sue the officer directly as opposed to the state. And they're right, you should be able to have them prosecuted directly, they should also face criminal charges and if fired from the police force they should not be able to take up another position elsewhere.
And that is the problem with all corrupt state police, it's the same rotten culture as here, they all stick together and cover for each other, they'll conceal evidence, turn off body cams etc.
At least in the US they have no shortage of civil rights lawyers who'll take the case for them. Here, we can only take a case if we have the considerable finances to pay for it, then we have to find a solicitor that's willing to take the state on, the state has a habit of tying cases up for years through the court system to hinder you deliberately.
Also as far as solicitors go it's similar to political parties like FG and SF, they're supposed to be on your side and oppose the state but they all work together, they're coming out with the same pay for their sevices win or lose. As it stands a solicitor is supposed to act for your defence, and your supposed to instruct your solicitor as to how you want to proceed but you'll find, particularly in "free legal aid" cases that the outcome of your case will have already been decided between your solicitor and the guards before the case is called when your solicitor is actually supposed to be acting on your instructions.
You'll also find that if you do take a case agInst them that you'll be personally subjected to harassment. I have personal experience of this as have many others. And making a complaint to GSOC you may as well be pissing into the wind, and they too will delay,delay delay to hinder you.
Gardai should be wearing body cams, they should be instantly dismissed if they dont have that cam on or turn it off at any time during your interaction with them.
Even if it gets as far as court you then have to deal with a corrupt court and judicial system who rely on the state for their bread and butter, they will do whatever it takes to protect that system.
I have covert cameras put in my home now, my phone calls record automatically and now I'm going to get a covert body cam for myself to wear when attending protests. Another thing I do when recording using my phone is I have it set to automatically save a copy to "the cloud" they 'll just snatch the phone from you. They can snatch it all they like now, I'll still have a copy of the footage.
I have a dash cam and intend to place a device in my car to record any interactions should I be stopped on the road. Years ago I was stopped one night on the pretence that my car ",was reported as stolen" I was held on the side of the for an hour while the cop sat in the squad sneering at me through the window while he was "waiting on whoever " to get back to him after checking my details and the cars details" I knew he was acting the bollox so kept calm, didnt show I was pissed off, and when he wasetting me go he said " if I proceeded with the case against the gardai that " they'd never get off my back"
That guard who stopped me didn't even have any direct involvement with the complaint I'd made.When I went to the gardai station the next day to request evidence of the report that my car was reported as stolen I was told that I "couldn't possibly have been stopped because no patrol car was the area at that time"
So I will never, ever be caught in a situation again where I don't have my own evidence. You can also request cctv footage from shops businesses etc in writing if a camera is in the area.
Look at Sgt McCabe and the abuse he and his family were subjected to, if he hadn't had those recordings he was fkd.
People really need to start taking these things seriously, especially if they're going to be attending the protests etc because they've every intention of hammering the shit out of us.

What I think may need to be looked into was if there was also private security or some other type of hired personnel, working alongside the gardai, who attacked those villagers the other night. It seems to me the gardai may have been using others, too. Even the riot uniforms looked different. If the gardai are bringing in others and using them as enforcers, this is an extremely serious development.
@@againstthedyingofthelight yes, one of them definitely had an english accent in the housing estate. One of them arseholes was a complete psychopath. He's in the video where he attacked and assaulted the couple who he had threatened with arrest if they didn't move, they were trying to explain to him that they actually lived there and he charged up the path, assaulted them and sprayed them too.
I suspect he's the same coward that was roaring like a maniac on the road in the estate and wore his shield off a passing car.
Some of them are not gardai, and that needs to be brought to the fore front immediately, who the fk are they? Same with the so called "security" with their faces covered who are obviously foreigners, as are those driving around with their faces coveted. They are supposed to have licences and full identification on display, yet the gardai and PSA are tur ingrained blind eye.
People have short memories, the very same tactics were used by the gardai and KBC Bank at the stokestown eviction of that elderly family who were beaten, ex British soldiers and loyalist mercenaries were allowed to operate illegally in this jurisdiction with no identification, gardai and govt covered up for them and they were not held accountable for assault, illegally working outside their own jurisdiction, criminal damage etc and yet 3 of the Irish men who went to remove them from the property are currently sitting in jail now each has a 15 year sentence to serve after a very corrupt court case.
But all the "I'm alright Jacks" who turned a blind eye, sat on their arses and couldn't give a fk are up in arms now there's a high possibility the consequences of state corruption are going to directly affect them.
There are many,many cases people have turned a blind eye too, Enoch Burke is another one, whether or not you agree with his opinions, he's still being illegally held in a prison, his family have been publicly assaulted and abused and they're being denied due process in the corrupt to the core court and judicial system.
People insult the Burkes and ridicule them, have made a public sneer of them , which suits the state, but the facts remain what's being done to them is corrupt and illegal.
Another case currently ongoing that they're keeping quiet is the appeal of the fella sentenced for the armed robbery and shooting dead of garda Donohue at that credit union, indisputable evidence has been brought to light that the man is innocent and gardai and detectives set him up. Wouldn't you think that should be being covered on national media, but it's not.

There’s a new town near completion for asylum seekers in Kippure near Blessington.
There’s a large housing list in Wicklow but they won’t be offered one of these new houses.
The local TD is Simon Harris. He has some neck giving priority to lads that only crossed the border into Ireland in the last few weeks.
Once they hear this in the UK they will come flooding in here.
