- Our luck was bound to run out one of these days… It’s times like these that make us wish for warmer weather! Colorado is full of incredible camping spots but due to the harsh winter we were struggling to find a place to call home for a few nights.

A bad day rving is 10 times better than a good day in a bricks and sticks. The journey is part of the fun. You have a beautiful view from your living room window you have each other you have your health and life is good.... Take care and God Bless...
Might try coming back in the summer. When the grass is green and flowers are bloomed. Go wading I the creek. As long as you enjoy yourselves is what counts. Take care. God bless.
We would love to be back in the summer! We’re thinking we can make it work in the fall, though
what a great trip I hope and pray your next video is just as great as this on I would ivest in some recovery gear tow straps and boards etc so you won't get in a sticky situations
Thank you! We appreciate the kind words. Some better recovery gear is in our future, we do have tow straps already. Traction boards may be a smart investment
Thanks for showing the realities of how things go sometimes. So many channels are all rainbows, unicorns and the perfect selfie. This is refreshing.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!
Way to persevere. It paid off with a beautiful spot! Safe travels.
Thank you!
Hey guys, another great video, thanks for taking us along. You beat the challenge and found a great spot.
Keep them coming guys.
Eric and Karal.
Thank you, Eric and Karal! We appreciate your comment and glad you enjoyed the video!
Love your video s so much. You two have such lovely out look of life. Too. And lovely smiles you guys have too...Katie
When camping in beautiful areas, the only thing you leave are footprints, the only thing you take are pictures and fond memories. Good for you guys for cleaning up OP's junk. I do it a lot, too.
Couldn’t have said it better myself!

Just wanted to let u both know that we enjoy the time and effort it takes to share your journey’s with us…If u don’t mind we are definitely, borrowing the banana pancake recipe… Lol… Safe travels…
Thank you very much, Travis! It’s quite a bit of work editing two videos a week but we really enjoy it and it’s comments like yours that help push us along! Have a great week
Great video. I am very familiar with those areas having worked there. Winter/Spring always pretty sketchy. Great PSA on leaving a clean campsite.
Thank you, Terrence! It was a great area, can't wait to go back in the fall!
Your light at the end of a frustrating time looks magnificent . So happy for you all
Thank you and can’t wait to see you soon!
Our fave place in Colorado is Ouray and Silverton, and doing the Million Dollar Hwy. great video! Beautiful shots!
Both are beautiful towns! Thanks for watching!
You guys have found a few amazing dispersed camping locations this episode. It is sad that some people do not pack out what they bring in. It does ruin it in some places when people leave a mess as we have seen places shut down because they are not taken care of.. Thank you for sharing. Catch you next week. Mary 💕 Fred
It sure is, but we’re glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching, Mary and Fred!
Don’t give up, keep positive!
Thank you!
You both crack us up, gourmet cooks on the road.
Looks like a great creek to yank some fish from.
Again love the food!
BTW, we have a 2004 Lance 845, had since 2006.
Maybe we'll see you on the road someday!
We’ll watch your travels. Currently live in San Diego.
That was an awesome campsite y’all found. Some of the best scenic views and sights we’ve seen while traveling were following a wrong turn. Nowadays we prefer to say, “We’re not lost! We’re just hard to find!” 😂
Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
Thanks Doug! Totally agree, but sometimes the journey there is a little frustrating! Just hard to find… I like that! Hope y’all have a great week!
Yes... You have us hooked on Truck Camping!! We are planning now from the Philippines to come there and do it!! Glad to see you take great safety in looking out for Barkly.. You must keep a knife or gun near incase he's attacked .. I just saw a guy walking his dog in Florida near a lake need to wrestle with an alligator. It will happen when you least expect it.
Great video. I'm just curious what does your families think of this lifestyle? I love your videos. Be safe, drive carefully, and I will see you on UA-cam!
They are surprisingly supportive! In a time where building a brand/business is as available as now, they’re proud we’re taking the road less traveled and pursuing our dreams!
Well said having lived half my life in Idaho. I’m looking for an Arctic Fox to play and work more in the snow.
Very cool episode, blessings 🎉
Where did you get those white cooking pans with the removable handle?Must have
There’s a link in the video Bio with a link for Amazon! They’re amazing
Nice to see some Colorado vid. I remember going through the Eisenhower Tunnel when it opened. I was ten!
Such a beautiful state!
HI THERE'
JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL
THANK YOU FOR SHARING
I HAVE SUBED TO YOU
AND JUST LOVE THE PUPPY
THANK YOU..🙏😉
Thank you, Rocky!
Black Canyon of the Gunnison, then Montrose and Ouray, Colorado.
We're excited to see the black canyon!
Your food looked delicious. Thanks for the share.
Thanks for the support!
Love that drive. East and West!
Sure is a beautiful one!
Great campsite again! Took ya long enough, was getting tired just watching ya driving around lol. You guys should think of creating a cookbook, that supper looked scrumptdelicious 🤤
Continued safe travels and as always, stay safe out there…..
Thanks Mike! Glad it finally worked out for us as well. Good idea on the cookbook, we’ll give it some thought! Have a great week!
If you ever get the opportunity you should come check out British Columbia and all it has to offer.
BC is on our list! Not sure it will be this year but hoping for next year!
Hats off to you guys for the public service announcement and cleaning up someone else's mess. The bad apples are ruining the open access to public lands we have enjoyed and land managers are closing areas in Colorado.
Thank you, Mark! We try to clean up every site we stay at even if it’s just a little. There’s almost always something sadly
It’s beautiful
Thank you!
Love your channel ❤
Unfortunately Tire chains won’t help in snow as much as people say that it is helpful, they’re for icy roads . You need a winch, a shovel and max tracs(or a cheaper alternative, max tracs are overpriced ) , and lowered tire pressure.
Awesome video 👍
Thank you!
Oh! You have tx plates! No wonder you're anywhere but tx. Don't blame you 😊
You guys need to do a cook book .
We’ve considered starting one, thanks for the suggestion!
Great video and content. I'd suggest your next set of tires be either BF G's AT KO2's or Fallen Wildpeak. Also carry 2 Bear sprays when walking and hiking. Just my 2cents. Love the views, Colorado has many great locations. 👍🇺🇸
Thanks Randy! I’m leaning towards the BFG, I’ve ran a couple sets and always had good luck. Falken and Cooper make some nice ones as well, but I know the BFG would be in stock almost anywhere in the country if we had a flat. Sometimes that’s good peace of mind!
@@LivingLargeCamping exactly. That's what I run on my truck as well.
Yeah we're not big fans of winter camping LoL!! It's definitely harder when the campgrounds are closed or the roads are too risky to travel. We're even heavier than you two with our F450 and I get really nervous going off road. Thanks for trying though because it sure is pretty!! Cheers! ~M
Sounds like quite the rig! Thanks for the kind words, we appreciate your support!
It should be spring already. I cant belive its snowing here for another week.
No kidding, crazy its still dumping!
Does Barkley mind his sweater?
He loves it!
I've watched a couple of your other videos and was intrigued 😊There's just something about the nomad lifestyle that I find very interesting. I also follow a couple whose channel is Dome Life. Cody and Kelly also travel via a truck camper and y'all should check them out. Who knows, maybe I'll see you two couples meet up and do a vlog together! 😊👍👍
Should be in lower Arizona in the winter if you want to avoid snow
We’re excited to visit Arizona! Might be next year though
Do you use vinegar to clean dishes?? Works so well
We do not, but great idea!
have you camped in Arizona
Not yet, maybe next year!
Albuquerque?
Not quite, but we are excited to spend more time in NM!
Do you compare the cost of driving around looking for a free camp to the cost of staying in a paid campground?
Yes! During this video we tried two paid campgrounds that were both closed as well. If they would have been open, it would be worth the $20 not to drive around for hours
4 min in the vid and you have complained many times of getting stuck. Get some recovery gear, get some cat litter for traction, and go for it. Do you have 4x4? If 4x2 why?
Cat litter is a good idea. We’ll be purchasing chains before our next winter. Yes on the 4x4
Music??
I bet it can be frustrating at times looking for a good spot at least you don't have a time limit to do it like a trucker looking for a spot to rest before running out of hours but nevertheless, great looking shrimp pasta and the pancakes wow,Godspeed.
I can imagine that’s an added stress at the end of a long shift! Thanks for watching!
@@LivingLargeCamping Indeed
Awesome video. Love the views! I dream of living in a truck camper. Also, PS-it’s pronounced Bway-Na-Vista ( ua-cam.com/video/8HjiP3jUQcs/v-deo.html ) keep these videos coming!
Thank you! Truck camper is our favorite setup of everything we’ve tried!
People drive me crazy littering
Totally agree!
Dude. WTF? This girl doesn't have a ring on the finger that matters. What are you waiting on or did you already do that?
Haha we’re in no rush, just trying to build our brand first!
@Living Large Camping Well good luck to you. I would love to do what you all are doing but my wife wouldn't have it. Too old and set in our ways. I live in Florida and enjoy all of these winter camping videos. It's where I would be also. Keep up the videos.
I know it's just me, but, snow would be the last thing I would want to camp in, near, or on.
It’s definitely not the easiest form of camping!
There's too many channels doing the same stuff 🤮
Thanks for the comment
Better to Avoid 🫣😖😮
