I'm cautiously optimistic. I purchased a Yeti 400 system with the led-acid battery. It was supposed to maintain 400 watts continuous electricity. When I attached a video projector only pulling 200 watts, the system failed after only 15 minutes of use.
I like Goal Zero's plug-and-play concept. What I haven't seen, though, is consistent delivery of what the company promises.
(And this sales rep just said that Goal Zero is the only company doing what they do. I've found 3 other companies doing precisely the same thing while researching power solutions for my RV. Again, I think Goal Zero loves to make promises. What I don't see, is them actually delivering.)
All the Power you need
I have a lot of their products and worked for them as an independent sales rep before they were bought out. Love the solar panels because they're portable. I have mixed feelings on the batteries, but they have really improved them. I like the Yeti 1250, but it's too big (i.e. not very portable). The yeti 400 is an option, but I already have the Extreme 350. Don't use it much because I have the first generation Sherpa 120, which is lithium and much more portable. I want the lithium in the yeti 1400, but I don't think I will be the ginny pig for this product. I will see what kinks need to be worked out and by it then. Hopefully, it will be in the shows done at Costco. If so, I will by it sooner rather than later.
I been looking for one of these to power my Led lights and fog machine for the longest.
The based things you need to keep running are the lights, fan or heater and the Refrigerator so food doesn't spoil. This battery pack just does not do it if you live in storms prone areas
I love how she keeps saying no one else is doing it all the time like they are the only ones. lol
Well there isn’t a whole Lotta companies build them . I’d say 25 or 30 so she’s not too far off.😏
@@ThreePhaseHigh Lol
Happy to see Goal Zero is finally bringing their version of a Lithium Generator to the market. Unfortunately, the price the young woman quoted is far too much than it should be. With all the other options already available on the market for less, I don't see this being a big seller.
spydude38 get the 400 watt version
I am also going to solar power my boat using the yeti as a battery.@tI just started selling yeti1000 and 1400 in New Zealand.
You should put Goal Zero in the title...confusing with the cooler maker Yeti sharing the same name.
Why did he say one - 400? why not say fourteen hundred or one thousand four hundred? is that a Euro thing?
$2500.00? You can buy a 12volt. 200 ah Lithium Battery. A 325 watt solar panel with MPPT controller for that kind of money. And still charge it inside 45 mins off mains or a vehicle alternator.
Am I able to charge this unit from both solar & wall power at the same time , and will it charge faster ???
Need this
"high speed usb ports" yeah... I need a huge headroom of bandwidth for charging devices.
its all marketing crap
anything to make idiots swallow the ridiculous price tag
How long can it run two lamps one lab top. And a 19 inch t.v. then one by itself for the fridge. And another by itself for the A.c. @ 10,000 btu.
check out the Kodiak
Anker Powerhouse with 400Wh power is available for 500$.
the 400 Li ion she didn't even mention it
How much will one unit costs me if I order one?
Thanks for the vid. If I'm looking to used the Yeti in a Sprinter van coversion witch one of the 2 pack I'm gong to be best with?
1400 or 1200 giving that I'm looking to run a small fridge and some light and heater/ fans. I will also used your solar panells.
Thanks for the help.
I would wait until September when they are supposed to come out with a 3000
Janna Rodriguez thanks for the heads up man!
The YETI 1400 should more than handle a small fridge, laptop, and some LED lights. It just depends on if you are using all of those devices simultaneously or not and what their total draw in power is. Some devices such as refrigerators have a large draw in power due to the requirements to start a compressor. Same with Microwaves, Keurig coffee makers, and the like. With solar you should be able to recharge as well provided there is sun to charge the panels to recharged the YETI 1400.
Why is he holding the mic like that
Well let’s just not go there it’s just too kinky😬
Looping the cord takes the strain off where it goes in the bottom of the mic.
Did she say 2.500 euros? Did I understand correctly? Are they smoking crack?
and how long
how come they don't anytime About the 12volt and how long that would last I am building a off the grid set up and would like to know if I buy a 12volt TV DVD combo will it work
hi, I use a tv with built in dvd player. the tv uses about 30w and when the dvd is running it is about 45 w. my 1000yeti will run the tv for about 30 hours and tv and dvd for about 20 hours. hope this helps.
2500? thats way too much goal zero! Sooo not worth it! better off building your own.
Cody teach me please
I'm with Free Codes. Can you teach us, Cody? (I bought a Yeti 400 system before.. not lithium. It couldn't even deliver a steady 300 watts of power.)
Cody It's only 1999 now I think. They are coming out with a 3000 watt one later this year.
That enerplex is a 1100 W (surge) generator, whereas the Goal Zero is a 3000 W (surge) generator. Most quality 3000 W generators are right around the $2000 mark, so I'm not exactly sure why you're saying the Yeti is overpriced.
When will this be available in the US?
March 1 2017 @ costco
Janna Rodriguez - Do you know how much USD it will run?
$2,500.00
Shit that girl got big
She did?
guido cuerda she did and she might be with child?? this things co2 foot print is so big it is not worth buying and then saying; my co2 foot print is next to nothing, BULLSHT. look what it took to make, ship, charge, supply line etc.... mining lithium for its batteries alone kill about 2 or three tons of co2 per unit, not to mention all the other things I wrote about, like trucks to ship the things!! JUST SAYING
Joseph Brendel what are you even talking about???
ctuan13 they say these thing help people reduce there carbon foot print on the global warming thing, but it does not if you consider what carbon output it takes just to make it, ok? just saying
does it power an AC? if not, seriously at $2,500?
i suspect the inverter is only good for a few hundred watts and has no surge capacity especially since they give no information other than the voltage
try their website. It has all the info you need and you'll find it does have quite a surge capacity.
Can you put 2 uk 3 pin plugs in ?
they make them with different plugs but you can also just use a plug adaptor.
Calling this a "Solar Generator" as was done in the title of this video is really quite misleading. While there was a very brief mention of a solar charging capability, this is more correctly a battery based power storage and delivery system. Remember that a "generator" is a device which takes one form of power and converts it to a different form of power. I see no real generator in this product. The video should be re-titled. Still, it looks like an awesome product.
wow 2k for a battery OMG
Ridiculous price. At least the weight isn't too bad, at only 42lbs. For the capacity this thing provides, at least that (unlike the price) is acceptable.
E.÷ buy it now?
why is it called a generator?
Nick Carver Hi ! It can be charged by solar panel !
hm is the goal zero yeti 1,400kw lithium
2.5 euro?
il buy 50 of them at that price
Yeti 1400 is not enough it should be yeti 3000,6,000 and 10,000 for longer camping or brownout
2.5 Euro????
2500 euro
2.5 euro per watt.wich means 3500 euro for 1400 watts.
That is to much for a solar generator.
You can build your own with half price and with same battery
Charge a Tesla??
For the price you can build a better one.
And it retails for 2.5 Euro ..what the f*** is that? I'm from Ireland I know euros.. 2.5 euros??
too expensive for what it is!
JUNK. Takes to long to charge the batteries. We are a pop and grandaughter small solar generator building business and our batteries are back full charged in 4 to 5 hours. NOT OVER NIGHT OR 10 t0 12 hours. and your prices are very high.
FOOT PRINTTT FOOOOOT PRINTTTTT FOOT PRINT!! Think about this things foot print of co2 waste attached to it!! this things co2 foot print is so big it is not worth buying and then saying; my co2 foot print is next to nothing, BULLSHT. look what it took to make, ship, charge, supply line etc.... mining lithium for its batteries alone kill about 2 or three tons of co2 per unit, not to mention all the other things I wrote about, like trucks to ship the things!! JUST SAYING
Joseph Brendel good for you! I’ll double my output then!
I think they sent a Graduate to do the interview rather than a proper salesman or engineer. Nodding like the churchill dog throughout, mistaking fast-charge USB ports (2.1amp, what that device actually has) for high speed usb ports (0.5amp, what she said), 'something called passthough power', £5 cheap Chinese powerbanks from China have passthrough nowadays. Shame is, the product itself is awesome (but expensive), just a shame they sent a graduate to do the interview rather than a proper person...
too expensive for what it is!
