sequel would be cool, but i also wanna see a short prequel of the queen in her prime. i mean.. if she's this strong here then i bet we can get some epic scenes before
I loved Tara. One of the best queen characters ever. She is elegant and regal yet playful and just a kind person. Her playful bickering, for lack of better term, makes her seem human and grounded. Plus she wear a big puffy ballgown and kicks ass so that's a win in my book. Another thing I really liked about Epic in general is that they didn't followed the trope of "protagonist that gets thrown into the magical world turns out to be the chosen one". She gets thrown into it due to being at the right place at the right time by accident and though it could've been easy to make her the new queen, they chose someone of Tara's people
2:35 I really thought the girl was going to be the next queen. Guess they didn't wanted to separate her from her dad. I think that would have been still a better choice than a literal child.
I don't think she had a choice, she had to trust the human to keep the pod safe but it didn't mean she was going to make her the queen, but I agree it would have been a better idea.
I remembered the first time i saw this movie, I really love the Queen's design. The fact that she's not completely helpless and shown to be completely in power of the forest was really amazing. THIS is how you make actual STRONG female character. Her dress moved so beautifully especially on those chase scene. Kinda sad she had to die though. I wished Disney would learn to make new IP like this. Rather than making Ariel dark skinned. What a lazy cash grab live action that was.

She does not do everything right, her own mistake gets her killed, but she does not blame the ‘patriarchy’, and her last act is to care for her people and cheer up the man she loves.
