Its 2021 and this song still brings tears to my eyes, everyone says that i should be thankful to live in sweden , but i miss my lola and tita in the Philippines, ive said this so many times and i will keep on saying it, id rather live poor surrounded by people who i truly love and people who love me back than to live a “wealthy “ life with fake people and being sad all the time. Honestly everything featured on this video is actually accurate. Maraming mga sosyal na Pilipino sa ating bansa pero hindi na nagtatagalog at marami ring mahihirap. Madalas sa mga sosy maaarte at hindi nila na aappreciate ang mga gamit at yaman nila kahit marami na ang naghihirap sa bansa natin because of the broken economy we have and mostly only the rich takes advantage while the poor and middle class are suffering
Every time I see this i get emotional because I want to bring my wives family over there a better life, but it is hard especially now in covid-ville to do anything right. Grrr.

This is our favorite video right now after visiting Manila. Mikey is so onpoint and we relate. From the taho guy, the phones and ligo with a tabo and i-pis! For a short visit, my dad gave me 2 additional phones for Globe, Smart and my own for international and I'm like "these are too many phones!". I ended up just using my own phone and winged it with one-way text. I don't fit into my pants as it is to put them in my pocket. Haha.
Filipino are so transparent unlike some neighboring country, they hide.
And i don't care if some ignorant MATAPOBRE who are busy belittling some probinsyano and poor kababayans... at nakikita naman kahit na minamaliit hindi tayo sumusuko...we fight to live cause we know all things are temporary... its ok to be poor as long as still eating 3x a day and u live a Godly Life and you don't hurt people... sometimes people who is poor is much generous than people with wealth that is temporary.

Mikey, I am your fan, no doubt for that. But may I say something with this video? At the beginning of the video, u hit the nail with "jun with an H from Cagayan, and the funny accent."
But the rest of the video does not really shows what promdi really is. It just shows and tackles what a low life person (promdi or not--- even those living in the city but a mere ordinary pipol) has ambitions to be in an elite society. And a rich guy who wants to live the other way. The video was focused on the status in life. Kasi kahit naman hindi promdi and living in the city pro namumuhay ng ordinaryo, ganyan din ang thinking.
When you say promdi kasi... Prom di prabins (from the province)... It tackles the naïve side of a person who hails from the province that is not used of city life. It means a person who is matigas ang english at tagalog accent. It tackles the experience when promdi first saw the dancing fountain in Luneta, and the likes. His reactions when he first step in a "sossy" restaurant and he doesn't have a clue how to use the cutleries. Things like that. I am a promdi, so I can relate sana kung ganyan ang tema ng video. Have you heard Max Surban's "unang pgtan-aw kog sine?" That is a very classic promdi song and it made me laugh until now. Peace and gudluck to you!
