It does that to prevent the transmission from breaking apart from the factory no one has figured out how to jailbreak the transmission so up until motec comes out with a tcm

The best Ford performance Garu on U-Tube and in America. When the DCT gets figured out. 8s will be the norm. Really curious how these GT500s would run using a similar transmission used in the Mustang Cobra Jet.

That was an impressive pass no doubt but don’t act like you’re not biased; that ZL1 has not only a gutted interior with a Kirkey but a different bumper than it runs on the street with a velocity stack, dumped exhaust, 15” conversion, race brakes race gas etc. it runs a very different setup on the track vs the street, compared to a true full interior street car on 18s with completely unopened motor and just a 3.8 blower and E85. This is an apples to oranges comparison.

ZL1 was entirely gutted, engine opened, drag brakes & drag suspension.... Put the interior back in, suspension back to stock and add back in 100+ pounds of oem brakes. It's a drag car not dual purpose
The LT4 has been out for 8 years. Give this platform 8 years and it will be in another league. It’s just a few years in and these cars are regularly making over 1000whp with the stock blower. Mid 8s are very possible even with a full weight car, it’s just the transmission that needs cracking

Did he explain his statement with facts. I've never seen him turn a wrench on any of his $100,000+ cars he buys because he doesn't know crap how build a motor like palm beach. His Dyno run should have been 600 horsepower at the wheel considering at lease 15% drive train loss using an automatic. He tried to buy back his GT500 and the new owner said No.

Why try and drag race such a heavy car with an unlocked DCT?? Don't you feel silly when you barely crack 8's making 1100+hp.. a regular GT or GT350 with turbos will embarrass these cars.. Super inconsistent and murder on the trans.. My brother has a 21 and its already smoked the clutches after 8k miles.. Only street driven making a bit over 800whp..They are built for the road course, and they are too heavy even for that, he ate through 2 sets of tires, $2000 worth of rubber in 41min of track time..
