Their relationship was extremely well written. It wasreally mature, the drama wasn't forced, and they realistically went through some rough patches. There are so many relationships in tv shows that are just forcing drama down our throats when it doesn't really make sense, but Jim&Pam's relationship was handled extremely well.

I mean tbh I think Ryan and Kelly's relationship hit most of what I've gotten from real relationships
I mean, I felt that when Pam went school in new york they made it out to be like it was so difficult when really it was just a temporary thing, and calling each other on the phone wouldn't have been that big of a deal. And I hated that they didn't move to Philadelphia. I felt like realistically Pam would've seen how passionate Jim was about his business and how happy it made him. It was uncharacteristically selfish of her to not want to move even though he hated living in Stanford and wasn't doing something he loved. The whole show ending on that note was sappy and unrealistic. Realistically, she would've either gone with him or she would've stayed but ended up separating.
When Jim opens his voice messages after being gone for awhile and all of them are Pam just talking it's the cutest thing ever

For the most part if not all the time the only reason a guy wants to be "friends" with a girl is because they think they have a shot with them or can get them to sleep with them. At least that's how I see it and most guys see it but to be fair to pam she was getting married to another guy so really what was jim expecting? To call it off? It's a waste of time if you try to be "friends" with a girl that's planning to get married to someone else in Hope's of getting with them and even if they aren't planning to get married and are single it's a waste of time because you'll be put in the friendzone more often than not. This kinda stuff doesn't happen in real life. Maybe like a 1/1000th chance now.

Most people will take that leap in order to finally make a decision. "Will they accept my feelings or will I finally have a chance to get over them?" Yeah she was getting married but she wasn't really helping send the message of "Hey I wanna be friends" throughout their interactions. So in a way he was finally taking that leap to confirm his feelings

Someone on reddit pointed out something very interesting. On casino night Jim didn’t initially go up to Pam with the intent to tell her how he feels. He went to tell her that he was moving to Stamford. He said “can I talk to you about something?” Instead of “can I tell you something?” Not the most convincing but if you look closely at Pam’s left arm you can see Jim point behind him when he said “I was just umm...” meaning he was guna say something like “I was just talking to Jan back there” but after that you can see his whole mood change in his eyes and he knows that he’s leaving, she’s getting married, it’s now or never. So he tells her rather than go to Stamford without telling her or telling her he’s going to Stamford and then seeming desperate attempt to win her over. He put it all on the line and didn’t even really think it through but as he said in season 9 love makes you do things that aren’t even logical

Reflecting on Pam and Jim's beautifully awkward relationship in S1 and S2 was nostalgic. My favorite season is three when Pam slowly realizes what she passed up and had to grow to regain. Powerful stuff.

I haven't watched an episode of The Office in my life but my God this seems like such a sincere and true relationship and I teared up a little bit at the end
highly recommend it. really. ive seen the show, at this point countless times, as weird as it may sound, the show hits so hard and really gets you deep, and the buildup has me in suspense every time, when it gets emotional, trust me, it really does. and this piece of jim and pams relationship developing is a wonderful example.

This show is proof that "will they/won't they" doesn't have to continue forever for the show to stay interesting. Jim and Pam are the coolest married couple in TV.
10:00 He took the christmas card back....it shows up again in the last season and Pam finally reads what Jim wrote. (John Krasinski actually wrote something really sweet to Jenna Fischer in it and she actually read it live during that scene...so she was actually tearing up for real. She said she will never tell anyone what he wrote.
6:25 Is a scene that I won't ever forget. It's that bitter sweet moment when you realize how backwards everything is, yet you can see exactly how forward it really can be. People say The Office is a waste of brain cells to watch, but in reality, this show is better written than some marvel movies.

On another note, I never understood (maybe I’m not that smart lol) why they didn’t have Jim finally confess his love to Pam in that scene on the boat. It was perfect timing and she opened the door by saying she didn’t understand Roy at times. They just wanted to keep us suffering longer 😰😂
