Sign of the beast for me. 666 Sd.Kfz. 182, Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, Königstiger with veteran crew and pintel MMG. (so technically 681) To back it up I have Officer Regular Untersturmführer (Waffen SS 2nd Lt) armed with assault rifle Troops Late War Waffen SS squad - Regular, Fanatics 1 Unterscharführer (NCO) armed with assault rifle 1 Schütze (man) armed with SMG 4 Schütze (men) armed with rifles 2 Schütze (men) armed with LMGs Late War Waffen SS squad - Regular, Fanatics 1 Unterscharführer (NCO) armed with SMG 1 Schütze (man) armed with SMG 3 Schütze (men) armed with rifles 2 Schütze (men) armed with LMGs 1000 Pts and 4 Order Dice. In the two times I've run this group, I have won both times, so a 100% win rate. The first time my opponent's focus was on my infantry, figuring he'd never take out my Tiger II. I managed to keep my squishy infantry out of LOS from most of his forces and used my Tiger II to dominate the battle field. While it took a lot of hits, it was never penetrated and only rarely pinned, which it was able to clear without needing to resort to rallying. The second time my opponent was so fixated on taking down the big cat that he sort of forgot about my infantry. He tasked his two 12 man squads with wiping out my 7 and 8 man squads. I simply bunkered up my infantry squads and mowed down his as they tried to reach me. My Untersturmführer really earned his points, wiping out the bazooka team, the M5 heavy AT gun, the officer team, and the M5's tow. The bazooka team fell to a converted 6 on the casualty roll. The M5 was charged and I got 1 kill, while they got none. His officer charged mine, and because he was over 6" away I got to make a reaction shot and killed the buddy, and in the assault, he failed to hit but I did not. That left my officer the closet to the tow vehicle, and so it too was knocked out. The Tiger II did well too. In its first shot it blew up the veteran Sherman Easy 8. It's sencond added the Greyhound to the casualty count. It later turned the medic into a fine red mist. It missed with all 6 from the bow MMG, but did hit with main gun, which I had, half jokingly, declared was firing an AT round. If i recall correctly my opponent in the second fight was fielding (all regular except Sherman Easy 8) US 2nd Lt + man both SMGs Medic 2 x 12 man squads NCO SMG, 2 men BARs, 9 men with M1 rifles Bazooka team M5 heavy AT gun 1 1/2 ton truck with pintel MMG. Greyhound Sherman Easy 8 with pintel HMG (veteran) 1000 pts 9 order dice. Because of the exploits of my Untersturmführer we decided that he was worthy of a Knights Cross. He had by himself wiped out about 6 times the points that I'd payed for him
Would be interesting to see you talk about Konflict 47! This Christmas my lgs had the K47 American starter box marked down from $160 to $40 and I am REALLY digging the "Weird War"
The Panther is one of my favourite WWII tanks, but I’ve resisted adding one to my Bolt Action collection because pricey tanks go against the meta for 1000 pts games. Bolt Action (and Girls Und Panzer) have made me a bigger fan of the Panzer IV and Stug III, which are nearly 150 points cheaper. However, I do plan on getting a Panther for my Tank Battle army of German tanks. But instead of one, I’m trying to find the German Tank Starter box with 3 Panthers and 3 Tigers.
I am once again telling you that it is just straight up trash in everything except for maybe some huge tank war game, due to being slow, hard to move, and costing too many points. It is so unusable the rules for it aren't even in the book, they are on the store page.
Shouldn't it be Pink?
I see the Tiki, I ask for K'47
