To me Shadow is one of the top 5 to ever do it. The closet thing to The Birdie, being multi dimensional in the scope and range of topics he tackled. Like Sparrow he could have you laughing, make you dingolay, be thoughtful and resolute. All the while being unique in his style, delivery and music. Every year the fans looked forward to what he was coming with. Icon.❤
Shadow was my childhood. My dad used to play his music all the time, my brother jumped up - Shadow style - to calypso. Although this was posted eight months ago, i am glad I found a piece of happy memories now that my Dad and Shadow are no longer on this earth. Thank you.

Getting flash back about all the things you told me, miss you cuz.
Every so often there's an artist that comes along in a generation that makes an impact with their music and the Mighty Shadow was one of those artists. Shadow was an absolute original. He never tried to sound like anyone and that's what made his appeal so great with the people of the Caribbean. He had an uncanny ability to make you think, cry, laugh, and fete to his music. So if we are seeing an outpouring of love for him since his passing, it's the impact he's left on all of us the fans of his awesome calypso and soca music. Shadow and Art DeCoteau are back together once again making classic calypso. Maybe they'll send us one in 2019 for T&T Carnival. May the Mighty Winston "Shadow" Bailey rest in eternal calypso paradise with the ancestors and thank you for your awesome body of work. Thank you, M.r Edward Spencer for being one of the gatekeepers of this awesome music we call Calypso and Soca. UA-cam is the shrine for this music and for keeping our Caribbean culture alive and well for the next generation.

I only have one complaint about him - he was "baad", he still too baad, his music and lyrics duhs make a ole goat like me cry too often still! He was my muse. If he was accepted as the Muse of this nation, we would be on our way to building a civilization! I think! -

I had the pleasure of seeing Shadow performed several times. Love his unique style of music, his black hat and black clothes. Saw him performing the song " feeling the feelings" in an all black outfit, black hat a long black leather jacket in Barbados and he rocked the place
