@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 No, man. It's just their way of doing a homage to "No more mutants", because they're certainly not doing that plotline in the MCU.

Right. The first two seasons of both Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were in black and white. They both switched to color for their third seasons (both of which were broadcast in 1966).
The line "is that how mirrors work?" "Shut up, Bev," is both hilarious (I literally laughed out loud when I heard it) and also very telling. It shows that at least some of the people in the town/world are aware that things aren't quite right, but they're either content to find any explanation to make it make sense, or too scared to question it.
There are a lot of casually delivered lines that feel really uncomfortable because you know every single one of them is there for some fucked up reason.
As a non-native English speaker, one of the ways I learned to speak English really well was watching TV shows. So Adam's remarks around Wanda watching these type of shows is super on point!
I had a roommate in college who was from Puerto Rico. She learned English watching these old shows. The Partridge Family was her favorite. She had a lot of 70’s slang in her speech.
The character Dottie is played by Emma Caulfield, who played the demon and then ex-demon Anya in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Anya's most famous episode is "The Wish", where she creates an alternate reality, which is later called back to in "Doppelgangland". Caulfield is great in the role here, but I really wonder if her casting was also an *extremely* deep cut reference.
My theory...Wanda wanders into this town in a daze, overwhelmed by the events of end game and losing Vision and had a mental break and creates this new reality where all the people in the town are under her control, but Wanda does t exactly know what’s going on because she had a mental break, which would explain why she seems confused, but still has control. I also think Sword thinks someone imprisoned Wanda and they are trying to break in to “save” her but don’t realize Wanda is the one doing it.
It's more likely that someone (aka Mephisto) is manipulating Wanda to to creating the perfect reality that includes having children. And Mephisto has plans for her children.
THEORY: Ralph, Agnes' husband, has to be Mephisto, the MCU's devil. June 2nd, their anniversary, is the day the Salem Witch Trials started, and there is a legend in New Hampshire in the 1600s that clergymen were approached by the devil and he offered to cook them baked beans, which Agnes says is Ralph's favorite food. Señor Scratchy translates to Mr. Scratch, which is a nickname for the devil, who can turn into a white rabbit. Agnes lives on Wanda's left, the devil's shoulder. Agnes asks about Wanda's bridge game, and in bridge there is a strategy called the devil's coup. Plus, numerous clocks and the radio are missing 6's on their faces. The realty sign's area code is 732 in New Jersey, and Hackensack is mentioned, hence, the New Jersey Devils, and the ongoing joke of New Jersey being hell. There's probably so much more that I haven't caught. But every single thing Agnes says is double entendre.
Agree with your theory 100%. The constant mention of the children and how she magically gets pregnant is also definitely a nod to the comics where Mephisto creates Wanda’s twins using his soul shards✨Mephisto is definitely on his way
I caught that line about the “devil” between their little banter. And learned about Agnes possibly being Agatha. But wow, you really caught all of those hints, that’s amazing. She always does make it sound like her husband isnt great. I’m so excited that we really are getting into the weird shit now.
Ooh I love your theory! Especially the pick-ups on the New Jersey references! Honestly in my head while watching it, I thought perhaps the location of the events are maybe taking place in New Jersey and that’s why there was references to it. Since Avengers Tower was in NYC and then the base was in upstate New York, (before Thanos blew it up lol) so New Jersey wouldn’t be that far from those locations. And maybe the new base is in the tri-state area. But after reading your theory, perhaps its just making reference to the hints for Mephisto. Or, maybe it’s also taking place in New Jersey and hinting at Mephisto! I mean, maybe Mephisto likes to hang out around New Jersey due to the urban legend about the Jersey Devil (and maybe the legend is actually about him lol).
when wanda says “Is this really happening?” after the rewind, i feel like she was genuinely asking vision about the the fact that she is standing in front of him even though he should be dead.
The decades/sitcoms are "happy couple life journey" specific. 50s - Dick Van Dyke - new couple/new home/solid employment 60s - Bewitched - meeting/interacting with the neighbors/co-workers (forging friendships as a couple)/get pregnant 70s - Brady Bunch - Sudden family/Pregnancy to child's birth 80s - Full House - Babies to toddlers
90s - Rosanne - school age to pre-teen (Financial downturn?) 2000 - Malcom in the Middle - early teen (Family dysfunction?) (Guessing this episode is VERY kid centric) 2010 - Modern Family - late teen Each show has the sitcom tropes for each part of her and Vision's happy life together. Their Time together. My theory is Wanda was lead into her reality warping powers by Agnes, starting playing with the powers, brought back the Mind Stone, then brought back Vision, decided they deserved a happy life together, and this is what she did. She has given herself HER perfect normal life with Vision, as she saw through sitcoms. Not realizing (or not allowing herself to realize) the collateral damage to the town and people around her.
I love watching comic and non-comic fans react to the baby bump. Non-comic fans are confused but maybe happy for them while comic fans hearts drop because we know this isn’t going to end well 😱 You all had the same reaction my husband and I did. We didn’t watch the trailer for this show so we weren’t sure exactly where this plot was going, but all the “for the children” creepiness and then the baby bump at the end...my husband and I just looked at each other and were like, “this is going to end badly!”
Wow... So scary when she sees the bee keeper. Her face and eyes go dead and the delivery of the no. Like a Mama bear about to rip your face off, for coming to close to the babies. But instead rewinds. This show is wild.
The ending of Episode 1 was very Hitchcock where the end of Episode 2 if very Twilight Zone...and I am loving it. Especially when they were standing there watching the beekeeper come out of the sewer and Vision put his hand on Wanda's stomach to protect his children. So. Well. Done.
I think the "For the Children," chat by the townspeople, was partly to get their own children back. No children on a sitcom when the "star of the show" doesn't have children. A sitcom about a childless couple, rarely even has kids in the background. And this show has NONE right now, all of the town's children are gone.
I don't know if you guys noticed this, but on the wall (to the right of the banister), outside the kitchen in this episode, you can see the Hydra base where Wanda and Pietro were being held in Age of Ultron. (You can see it when she leaves kitchen to pat down the pillows, and even clearer when she's spinning around turning everything to color.) Another detail that this show's going to visit more of Wanda's past. That, along with the Strucker watch, and the mind stone in the trailers, is getting me really excited for what's to come. Love the reaction, and the theories for what's to come!
I read that S.W.O.R.D in the mcu stands for sentient weapons observation and response division, as opposed to the comics meaning sentient worlds observation and response division. In the mcu, they have referred to Wanda as a weapon of mass destruction
Well they haven't specifically referred to her as that. Perhaps wanda isn't the "weapon" or threat and the real threat is what's happening to wanda. Cause clearly her fake reality is somehow affecting the real one but we have no clue in what way or who is doing this.
@JB True, but, in the series finale of A.O.S., Mac is now The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Inhumans working with him; while Daisy "Quake" Johnson is part of a S.W.O.R.D. team, most likely, working with Nick Fury, who's now Director of S.W.O.R.D.
Monica chose the name “Geraldine” as a tribute to the late 60’s early 70’s variety show, The Flip Wilson show. He played a character dressed in drag named Geraldine whose famous line was “ The devil made me do it, the devil made me do it!” Flip Wilson is also African American.

Especially since his experiments gave Peter Maximoff insane speed powers. I'm expecting Wanda's dead Brother to make a ghostly appearance. The watch also says 1000 meters on it: Is that how close Wanda is to salvation or destruction? Is that how big "the town" is that she's inhabiting? Is that the length of "the bubble"/force field/prison she's in?
@@nathanielhoward1498 yes. And the first commercial suggests to "set the dial," while the second episode is called, "Don't Touch that Dial"... the timestone magic definitely has the appearance of a dial. "1000 meters" on a watch generally refers to how deep underwater a watch will continue to operate... perhaps alluding to how much HydraSoak it can stand. Maybe that's the distance to the center of this bubble... is that about a square mile for a little town like Westview?
@@steffurness I'm pretty certain that that measurement will have significance, by the end of this miniseries. It's still good and cool to know that HYDRA is still lurking in things...esp. since I'm an avid fan of A.O.S., where that faction was the penultimate foe to Agent/Acting Director Coulson and the team, before The Chronicoms.
As someone that grew up watching reruns of classic sitcoms, I'm really digging this show. It's quite brilliant to reimagine 'house of m' in the framework of classic sitcoms.
There's a lady in the background of the town watch meeting that glitches. She's looking at the books and walks left, cuts to Vision sitting down and she's back to looking and then walks left. This happens a couple times so can't be a continuity or editing error. The cards on the table in front of Herb also change.
I wonder if, at the bottom of all of this, is the Mind Stone specifically because it's so important to both Wanda and Vision and it, as well as the others, still exists at a molecular level. Also, in Episode 1, Vision was weilding the mallet while cooking like he wielded Mjolnir in AoU. WandaVision is great! Bravo to everyone involved especially Paul and Elizabeth!
I think she’s using this reality to rebuild Visions soul. When the stone was removed he turn gray. So she creates a reality that he blends with. As he’s healing he regains his color so she makes reality colored again
I think the reason the second episode is shot with a quality that feels like it should be in color is because a lot of the first shows in color were experienced for the first time in black and white because color tvs were expensive at the time
Rewatching this and I'm still dying over this reaction, "they're giving her the children, she's gonna kill everyone". I can't wait for the final episode!!
Theory: Wanda's powers have created a bubble over the town she was in (maybe near Camp Lehigh). The shell of the bubble is transmitting the broadcast the SWORD agent is watching. Anything that enters the bubble is instantly changed to fit the bubble's reality. SWORD helicopter goes into the bubble - turns into a toy. SWORD agents comes in through the city tunnels in a hazmat suit - comes out looking like a beekeeper.
@@alexanders7569 Yeah, I have a feeling Wanda is in a small reality bubble and took over some small town or part of a city to fulfill her fantasies and all the characters in the sitcom are real people.
The ongoing theory is that she, maybe in a daze, trapped an entire town in her reality-warped delusion, and SWORD is investigating the occurence and trying to determine if Wanda, as a focal point, is the victim or the cause.
I love the mystery of the show and not knowing what is going on. In this day in age it's very hard to do and glad to be along for the ride. When she said no I thought of the comics "No More Mutants..."
"Who are you?"... she momentarily lost control of others... someone affects her, using despair after Vision death... twice ("I am illusion"), to control her and others, probably as tool to ends, and/or retrieve information.
Not even surprised that this show is incredible. She definitely said no because she refuses to accept help and the fact that she can't actually have kids 😞 I have this feeling that this show is set after Endgame. Just because of everything that's happened with Vision. She might be some sort of self induced coma..
Agnes definitely has something up her sleeves cause she keep bothering wanda and she keep mentioning her husband ralph and devil. Agnes said "Dottie is the key for everything in here"....hmmm interesting
I definitely think changing the SWORD acronym in the MCU to Sentient Weapon Observation and Research Division was meant to show the new SWORD is more of an all encompassing organization dealing with all types of threats, rather than just “space” SHIELD.
Wanda's mutant ability is reality warping. We've seen in the trailers that SWORD is quarantining a town of sorts--we can here Randall Park from Ant-Man and the Wasp asking Wanda "who's doing this to you, Wanda" in both stories. Every time, something out of sort happens, time rewinds and a do over occurs. We learn in the second episode, that Wanda is aware of things to some degree, but not entirely, as she doesn't understand the things out of place. We also seen in the trailer building up to WandaVision that Monica Rambeau is going to get ejected from this reality at some point in time. I think what's going on is we're watching Wanda's version of grieving. We got to see Thor grieve in Endgame, and lucky for him he had Meek, Korg, beer, pizza, Noob Master69 and Rocket to get him through it. Wanda has no one. Vision was her anchor. She never got to grieve the loss of her brother and she probably didn't get to mourn the loss of her family and friends either. Infinity War likely brought that mounting pain to a head, which was temporarily sated when Wanda faded out of existence with half of life. But upon her return all those feelings probably rushed back the moment the dust settled. While everyone was busy trying to reconnected with lost loved ones, Wanda probably withdrew and mourned alone and in so doing, her powers kicked into high gear and she unknowingly created this reality which is grown, engulfing a community and turning those living there into NPCs of sorts. Mr. Harts wife looked to be terrified and happy at the same time while telling her chocking husband to "stop it." He of course couldn't stop it, as it wasn't his doing. Things went off script because Wanda's reality is being made up on the fly, the reality doesn't know that and as it revolves around Wanda and Vision and cannot go forward unless they do, at least that what I'm getting out of this. I don't think Wanda is aware that she's making people do things against their will, and I can only imagine that she's going to flip out when she realizes that she's the villain. That said, there's a possibility that she's being manipulated. Her neighbor Agnes, is Agatha Harkness, an actual witch in the comics, but I don't know what she'll be in the MCU. I'm not entirely sure if she's a friend or foe. In the comics, I believe she helped Wanda forget the loss of her children when Mephisto absorbed them into himself, as they were originally part of him. It's possible that Wanda met Agnes before this all started and Agnes might be the person keeping her from remembering what she wants to forget--Agnes did break her concentration when she was examining the helicopter, after all. I'm curious about the two lines in this story mentioning the devil. It could be nothing, but what are the chances of a show doing things "for the children" albeit without children anywhere to be seen? We see the men talk about them in coffee shop and the women talk about them by the poolside and again at the magic show. The episode does however, end with Wanda being pregnant. I don't know how this ends, but I think it's safe to say that this won't end well. We already know that Doctor Strange II: the Multiverse of Madness takes place immediately after this, and the fiery background with skull in the background has a pretty hellish look to it. What if Mephisto is being introduced in phase 4 here, setting up the big bad to come? Mephisto would also be excellent way to introduce Ghost Rider and possibly Blade and Moon Knight too, especially if they want to do some version of Midnight Sons in the MCU. I didn't mean to go on this long, but I've also been wanting to get this off my chest. tl;dr unbeknownst to Wanda, she's turned people in a small town in to NPC, all of whom are subject to the conditions of her evolving reality. She doesn't mean to cause anyone harm, but she also wants the life she never got to have. This series seems to be showing us Wanda's real powers and her dealing with loss, while quite possibly setting up the big threat they'll be facing by the end of this phase, quite possibly Mephisto.
Remember back in 2015 I was worried people will rejecting Wanda and Vision, because compare to other heroes they based on very strange concepts. But Marvel and the actors just nailed the roles.
After watching the episodes over and over and over I noticed a lot of stuff in the dialogue of the sitcom that made me scratch my head - like the opening line about flying saucers. Mr Hart at dinner asking if there's any skeletons in Vision's closet. Wanda after the magic show saying that the only thing she wants is Vision to be his normal self. The comments at the planning committee about feeling like they don't belong there... That's a lot of dialogue during the sitcom that I think is going to play into the story behind the scenes. So excited to see where this is going.
YES! Been checking in about every 15 minutes since reading about Adam's woes on twitter. (I had a hunch this was what you were working on). It was worth the short wait! So much fun having you guys share the experience with us. WandoVision is gonna be great and so are these videos.
I have a theory. Someone has her under their control. Not completely because Wanda obviously has control where she wants it: her happy life with Vision. But every time someone semi-wakes up and questions her or makes her feel like something isn't right in their reality, they get hurt by the person who controls Wanda. Two examples: 1. The Boss when he slammed his hands on the table and questioned Wanda and Vision about why they came there, when did they get married, etc., he suddenly chokes. And his wife sits there unable to do anything but ask Wanda to make it stop. 2. When Dottie told her that she doesn't believe that Wanda means no harm, suddenly the glass in her hand exploded and she bleeds. Both times these people seem to reset after they are helped, because Wanda wants them to be okay and they go on as though nothing happened. Yet Wanda is confused afterwards. Something else, Agnes is in on it. Wanda saw a helicopter that was in color, a clue that her reality is wrong. Then suddenly her neighbor pops up and distracts her.
SOoooooooo ... if the first show was the Dick Van Dyke show meets I Love Lucy.... and the second show is Bewitched meets I Dream of Jeannie.... I am assuming, without a commercial for Geritol..... that the next show is The Brady Bunch meets The Partridge Family .... expect music....
I am with you guys, this show is a great restart for the MCU. I hope that people who don’t know the MCU super well still like the show because I’m afraid that if this is your first introduction, you might be pretty confused. But again, I love the start and your concerns and thoughts are pretty much exactly mine!
At the start of the show during the animated intro at the part when Vision is phasing through the floor you can see some bones under the floor as well as a odd shaped helmet. The helmet is the one that the Grim Reaper wears and the Grim Reaper is often affiliated with Mephisto. After the remark "the devil's in the details" the neighbor Agnes even says "that's not all he's in".
Not my observation but I saw on Twitter that the commercials for the first two episodes were Stark Industries (apparently Stark weapons killed her parents) and Strucker (the guy who experimented on her and gave her powers). Wonder if these commercials might mean more on what is going on in the “real world”. Cool seeing my name at the end of this video. Love you guys!
the calendar is episode one has a little girl watching tv which adds more fuel to the fire with Adams theory of why she’s in love with the utopia of sitcoms
Well, she just wants to fit in but every tragedy in her life has led to her being a greater threat. I think Westview is absolutely a nod to what she grew up watching and perceiving as "normal".
I think the beeping red light on the toaster was in reference to the Stark industries bomb that crashed into their home and they looked at it for days afraid to move the her and quick silver referenced in Age of Ultron
...how great it is, that they make a homage to TV-Series in their first own TV-Series. I saw hints, that Wanda's neighbour Agnes could be the Witch Agnes, that helped Wanda to get her children in the first place. Especially since her neigbour pushes her in the direction of seducing Vision and chaving hildren in the first episode.
This is hilarious 😂 But in seriousness, I don't think Mordo will have qualms with Wanda using magic, because he only despises people using dark dimension magic (E.g. the guy in Doctor Strange who had an irreparable spinal fracture and shouldn't have been able to talk, but is jumping around being able to play basketball and stuff because he's using dark dimension magic).
This episode really provided much more clarity as to what the show is about. The part that hit me hard was right in the beginning when Wanda tells Vision “It’s our chance to appear as normal as possible” because none of what is happening is NORMAL. Wanda is DEEP inside her head and now that she’s manipulated herself into being pregnant, she’s not going to want to leave anytime soon.
Just a thought...but after rewatching this a few time and pausing on a few frames, I believe the BeeKeeper is a Skrull trying to infiltrate Wanda's Mind. Looking at the silhouette under the mask, the shape of the head reminds me of a Skrull, especially the left side. And it could be that Wanda has lost complete control of her own mind and Nick Fury and S.W.O.R.D. tasked the Skrulls to help fix it.
Well, it's also because each episode represents a specific decade in American TV history (ep.1 50s & ep.2 60s) so with the next episode playing in the 70s it makes sense that it will turn to color.
Great reaction guys! My theory is that Wanda went into hiding to create her own reality due the events of Endgame. I believe that Wanda feels so depress after losing her brother (Quicksilver), and her boyfriend (Vision) so she went into hiding to create her own reality to live out a prefect normal life. And I also believe that creating her own reality is effecting the people around her and she doesn't know that yet. Can't wait to see your next reaction to the third episode!
The hexagons all over the place may be a reference to the six infinity stones and a warping of the times. Red being reality and the devil. We know time might be warped because of the discussion between Hulk and The Ancient One. Enter multiverse. I have a feeling this is how they bring in Multiverse. Cap and Loki went different ways with the same stone. Something is very wrong. Can't wait to see how they tie this all together
Hmmm I think the helicopter that appeared was sword trying to fly into a bubble wanda created around a town and subconsciously she turned it into a toy helicopter to fit her theme and also the guy in the bee suit probally was a a sword agent sent into the bubble via the tunnels but a hazmat suit wouldn’t fit the scene she’s trying to create so she subconsciously turns it into a bee keeper which is the closest thing to make it seem more normal to her
Ahhhhhh! But will she be "FIRST LIFE..." in the MCU for awhile?" You can go from Hero to Bad Guy to Hero to a rat in a storage facility, to a hit TV show... in the blink of an eye... LOL!
This show is amazing. I've watched the first two episodes 6 times each. I plan on watching the third episode 6 times as well. After all, the Devil is in the details.
I love seeing other people get as broken as I did by this show..hahaha, I think Wanda is doing it all herself, and maybe someone is manipulating her to maybe use her Vision creation, and that's the calculations he does at work. I love that we're finally getting to see Scarlet Witch's true power though, I hated how in the Avengers she was just like generic psychic energy blast girl, now we're getting into the full reality warping capabilities she has. She is just terrifyingly powerful, especially when compared to the few other characters in the MCU we have to compare her to.
Interesting note here. S.W.O.R.D. in the MCU has changed the wording of it's name a bit. It actually stands for "Sentient Weapons Observation and Response Division instead of Sentient World Observation and Response Department. So being that they are an observation and response division of the government that is tasked with dealing with sentient (i.e.; Living, conscious) weapons we can assume that they are responding to whatever threat Wanda or someone else poses and a Sentient Weapon (She was referred to being a weapon in Civil War). I think that this is significant. I also found something interesting regarding Agatha Harkness and a possible coven connection. In comics lore she was the head of a group of witches called the Salem Seven (Agatha Harkness being the seventh) and aside from Wanda and Maria Rambeau, there were seven women including Agness. In the lore Agatha had a son named Nicholas Scratch (Scratch being the name of her Rabbit in Wandavision by the way) and he had children with multiple women who gave birth the six that make up the remainder of the Salem Seven. Not sure if that's a nod to the comics origins or if there is a significance to the number of ladies in that group. But if it is the case then all of these women have been chosen and brought together to give rise to the Salem Seven witches led by Agatha Harkness. I should also mention that when I was looking into this deeper, the name Nicholas Scratch was indicated to be a possible alias or conscious misdirect as he could actually be someone or something else. It also strikes me a bit odd that all of the women seemed to chant "For the Children" together as though they were performing some kind of spell or casting. It should also be noted that in spite of the fact that they keep talking about this event being for the children, there are no actual children anywhere to be seen, yet...but the house across the street from Wanda and Vision's home has a child's swing set out front. I think it isn't jut Wanda that is meant to have children but all of the women in the town with the exception of Maria Rambeau who I also think wasn't a part of the original plan (other aspects of her character and her role in the show make that reasonable to assume). It's also why when something jars the fantasy the women are the ones who seem to be acting afraid as though they are remembering what brought them here until they are snapped back into the fantasy. Just a thought...lol

50s - Dick Van Dyke - new couple/new home/solid employment
60s - Bewitched - meeting/interacting with the neighbors/co-workers (forging friendships as a couple)/get pregnant
70s - Brady Bunch - Sudden family/Pregnancy to child's birth
80s - Full House - Babies to toddlers
90s - Rosanne - school age to pre-teen
(Financial downturn?)
2000 - Malcom in the Middle - early teen
(Family dysfunction?) (Guessing this episode is VERY kid centric)
2010 - Modern Family - late teen
Each show has the sitcom tropes for each part of her and Vision's happy life together.
Non-comic fans are confused but maybe happy for them while comic fans hearts drop because we know this isn’t going to end well 😱
You all had the same reaction my husband and I did. We didn’t watch the trailer for this show so we weren’t sure exactly where this plot was going, but all the “for the children” creepiness and then the baby bump at the end...my husband and I just looked at each other and were like, “this is going to end badly!”

The ending of Episode 1 was very Hitchcock where the end of Episode 2 if very Twilight Zone...and I am loving it. Especially when they were standing there watching the beekeeper come out of the sewer and Vision put his hand on Wanda's stomach to protect his children. So. Well. Done.

" It's for the Children " Totally Creepy
Yet, We haven't seen ONE child in the town.
I think the "For the Children," chat by the townspeople, was partly to get their own children back.
No children on a sitcom when the "star of the show" doesn't have children.
A sitcom about a childless couple, rarely even has kids in the background.
And this show has NONE right now, all of the town's children are gone.
The Child.... Grogu? 😉
I don't know if you guys noticed this, but on the wall (to the right of the banister), outside the kitchen in this episode, you can see the Hydra base where Wanda and Pietro were being held in Age of Ultron. (You can see it when she leaves kitchen to pat down the pillows, and even clearer when she's spinning around turning everything to color.)
Another detail that this show's going to visit more of Wanda's past. That, along with the Strucker watch, and the mind stone in the trailers, is getting me really excited for what's to come. Love the reaction, and the theories for what's to come!
Nice find!
You know what else you could classify as a "sentient weapon"?
Mutants
@JB True, but, in the series finale of A.O.S., Mac is now The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Inhumans working with him; while Daisy "Quake" Johnson is part of a S.W.O.R.D. team, most likely, working with Nick Fury, who's now Director of S.W.O.R.D.

"Strucker - He'll make time for you." Isn't "make time" a Strange phrase to use?
Especially since his experiments gave Peter Maximoff insane speed powers. I'm expecting Wanda's dead Brother to make a ghostly appearance. The watch also says 1000 meters on it: Is that how close Wanda is to salvation or destruction? Is that how big "the town" is that she's inhabiting? Is that the length of "the bubble"/force field/prison she's in?
Yeah in Infinity War, Wanda tells the Avengers “we just wanted time”.
“a Strange phrase” as in Dr. Strange? Keeper of the time stone?
The WandaVision intro song to this episode is on the tune of Help Me Rhonda which was playing in the radio when Dottie was threatening Wanda.
“I don’t know where it’s going” that’s exactly how I feel. Gonna keep watching though.
As someone that grew up watching reruns of classic sitcoms, I'm really digging this show. It's quite brilliant to reimagine 'house of m' in the framework of classic sitcoms.
I wish they did an actual mini series in this format.
All Network Television did not go full color for all its shows until 1967 so that's why they waited till episode 3 to go into color.
I think she’s using this reality to rebuild Visions soul. When the stone was removed he turn gray. So she creates a reality that he blends with. As he’s healing he regains his color so she makes reality colored again
Vision never died. He's doing the trapping
I really like this theory. It would make sense.
I think the reason the second episode is shot with a quality that feels like it should be in color is because a lot of the first shows in color were experienced for the first time in black and white because color tvs were expensive at the time
Loved the reference that Bewitched was on when Technicolor started
Rewatching this and I'm still dying over this reaction, "they're giving her the children, she's gonna kill everyone". I can't wait for the final episode!!
Theory:
Wanda's powers have created a bubble over the town she was in (maybe near Camp Lehigh).
That's... brilliant. I love this theory!
Anyone else think that Wanda is having a psychotic episode in a graveyard and that the only real people there are herself and some SWORD agents?
I wonder whether the neighbours are real though, like they seem to have been trapped in the reality with her
@@alexanders7569 Yeah, I have a feeling Wanda is in a small reality bubble and took over some small town or part of a city to fulfill her fantasies and all the characters in the sitcom are real people.
It's probably to get Wanda's children since they're powerful (Wiccan and Speed in the comics)
This is what I think. She didn’t create it, but she definitely wants to stay there.
Wanda legit pulled a Missy Elliot and put her thing down, flipped it and reversed it
.
Not even surprised that this show is incredible. She definitely said no because she refuses to accept help and the fact that she can't actually have kids 😞 I have this feeling that this show is set after Endgame. This is after Endgame

Can we expect a mustache twirl for episode 3?
Kevin feige grew up watching sitcoms and said that's how he used to escape reality
This show is perfection
It's pretty great!

This show so perfectly captures that classic sitcom feel!
So much care from the guys at the MCU, as always!
Two examples:
Just want too say I love this format of episode reactions. Showing little snippets as they happen. Great job guys

Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division.
This was an immediate click! Amazing channel!

Not my observation but I saw on Twitter that the commercials for the first two episodes were Stark Industries (apparently Stark weapons killed her parents) and Strucker (the guy who experimented on her and gave her powers). the calendar is episode one has a little girl watching tv which adds more fuel to the fire with Adams theory of why she’s in love with the utopia of sitcoms
Well, she just wants to fit in but every tragedy in her life has led to her being a greater threat. I think Westview is absolutely a nod to what she grew up watching and perceiving as "normal".
Thanks Adam - we appreciate your patience
I think the beeping red light on the toaster was in reference to the Stark industries bomb that crashed into their home and they looked at it for days afraid to move the her and quick silver referenced in Age of Ultron
...how great it is, that they make a homage to TV-Series in their first own TV-Series. I saw hints, that Wanda's neighbour Agnes could be the Witch Agnes, that helped Wanda to get her children in the first place. Especially since her neigbour pushes her in the direction of seducing Vision and chaving hildren in the first episode.
I hope Mordo pops up somewhere in this because "The Bill Comes Due."
This is hilarious 😂
But in seriousness, I don't think Mordo will have qualms with Wanda using magic, because he only despises people using dark dimension magic (E.g. the guy in Doctor Strange who had an irreparable spinal fracture and shouldn't have been able to talk, but is jumping around being able to play basketball and stuff because he's using dark dimension magic).
@@devanujdeka8943 True. I was being goofy with this. I know Mordo's issue was the lie. And he believed in EVERYTHING the sorcerer supreme told him.
I think it becoming Color represents her falling deeper into this deilusion. It's becoming more real.
Well, it's also because each episode represents a specific decade in American TV history (ep.1 50s & ep.2 60s) so with the next episode playing in the 70s it makes sense that it will turn to color.
@@bluepearl_22 That is the practical answer. But in terms of in story why? I think it's because this is becoming more and more her reality.
I love this show so much that I binge watched all of the episodes!
The dude in the Beekeeper's suit might be an A.I.M. Agent. We'll have to wait and see though.
4:23 Adam got gum stuck in his gears!
I can't WAIT to see what episode three reveals to us!!
Hmmm I think the helicopter that appeared was sword trying to fly into a bubble wanda created around a town and subconsciously she turned it into a toy helicopter to fit her theme and also the guy in the bee suit probally was a a sword agent sent into the bubble via the tunnels but a hazmat suit wouldn’t fit the scene she’s trying to create so she subconsciously turns it into a bee keeper which is the closest thing to make it seem more normal to her
The Wu-Tang is for the children but when *these people* say it . . . it's CREEPY AS "GET OUT."
The mind stone is just that powerful that you can hide a reality in it. It happened when Adam Warlock did so on the Avengers animated series.
I'm seeing rumor's that Dottie is Clea from the Dark Dimension. Clea has been Doctor Strange Lover in the past.

Love the idea about Wanda making up this TV eras because maybe she used to watch American TV in Sokovia.
