paul bettany is having SO much fun and its great to watch lol
I really want him to break into his character from A Knight’s Tale.
You would be having fun if you got film without all that makeup
@@pReviewd my Lords, my Ladies and everyone else not sitting on a cushion! 😁😁😁
@@pReviewd She spent a year in Lagos! Just to better understand...the size...of an explosion?
THIS was the Dick Van Dyke episode. Wanda wearing Capri pants was the final proof. If Paul Bettany being hilarious with physical comedy didn't already make it clear.
To be fair, if I saw a beekeeper covered in bees coming out of the sewers, I would also say "No"
Ugh....you two nerds are amazing.
You’re right. I to would deny a subterranean bee keeper.
If I saw him I'd run up and play with the bees.
Didn't the insignia on the beekeepers back look like the sword logo? Wondered if someone was trying to break in and get her? Do not get the bee reference though.. 🤯
"The enemy is swarming" or "The HIVE" from MAOS (The alien creature that possessed Ward, and that Hydra was trying to make an ideal exchange to get it through the rocks (forgot what they were called) and use it to help them take over the world.
I wonder if the "bees" are meant to represent drones
I love that Adam called the beekeeper being a hazmat suit before he even saw episode 4
Wanda delivered! Best show on "episodic" TV right now.
Hehehe 😂
I feel like this is completely incorrect, best show on tv?? If this wasent marvel , would you be saying the same thing?
@@jessyrecinos7507 Yes, it's a generational thing. Boomers have a soft spot for TV nostalgia like this. Bewitched (Elizabeth Montgomery) and I Dream of Jeannie (Barbara Eden) were my bread and butter. Youth today don't seem to realize how little programming there was in the 60's. 3 Networks ran television, it was their offerings or read a book. WV is a complete departure from the formulaic superhero "action" movie paradigm and I completely love-it.
@@paulsommerhalder9049 yeah I think because I've become so used to such fast paced action with marvel (except black panther) it a little jarring to get pulled into a show were 20 minutes is oldschool filler show that does nothing for the story. and the 2 min of actual moving the story forward.
@@jessyrecinos7507 Mood setting DOES propel the story forward though. Setting the stage via slow burn is part of the narrative 🙂
Phil "That was my Grandmother's piano", looks like a cartoon David Schwimmer 😂😂
Did the hazmat/beekeeper sword agent guy that finally manage to breach into the show from the outside just got erase from existence by Wanda? That's hella dark.
So glad I came upon your videos during the Mandolorian season this year. I thoroughly enjoy watching your reactions and discussions 😀
Just getting to your reactions now for this series as I just finished it myself! Excellent reaction as always!
Chiming in almost two years later to say that Adam figured this all out in episode 2!
Facts
I`m in love with this show and is just episode 2!, love the details that separate the 50s 60s sitcom and the reality, the camera work is different, the body language, everything, this is soo GOOD!!
Thank you peaches for the reaction, you're amazing as always!
At 3:11, the stars make an hexagon shape. At 12:08 , a guy coming out of the manhole in a beekeeper outfit. At 12:45 another hexagon shape as a frame for the end scene. what all this have in common? Honeycombs, but what it means? absolutely nothing. I have no F***ing idea , i'm sure it means something, or maybe I'm just trying to hard to find out whats goin on, I'm intrigued and very excited to see where adventure Marvel have in store. ("Edit" in Episode 1 at the end scene again we can also see the hexagon shape)
I’m glad you did not say AIM because they have nothing to do with this but I guess we will have to find out
The magician you're thinking of might be "The Amazing Johnathan", he was hilarious.
Him and piff the magic dragon
SWORD was sort of introduced at the end of Away From Home in the end credits. That was their headquarters Nick and Maria were at.
That "NO" had me like crying almost. It was like you know: "No more mutants"
Adam pointing in the thumbnail like he’s Columbus who has been out in sea way too long and finally sees land
That intro was so nice I watched it twice!
I think there are multiple outside forces at play here. Obviously S.W.O.R.D. is trying to help Wanda by bringing her back into reality. But it seems like there is someone/something else pulling the strings behind the scenes. The biggest clue would be that dialogue exchange where Dottie says “The devil’s in the details” and Agnes says back “That’s not the only place he is”. That isn’t just a throwaway line. It’ll be really interesting to see how all of this unfolds.
"You sneaky fucks* 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that tickled my funny bone!
Jay: It’s Wanda-Os!
Me looking down and realizing I’m eating hexagonal honey combs: wait-
Wow amazingly I’m just seeing this; you all were the only ones that I have seen that actually was on point as far as Wanda controlling the town within her delusions.
This could just be my imagination, but the colors on the helicopter are red, yellow, and silver. These are the same colors as Vision’s skin, the sole stone, and his silver accents. Again, it could be something totally different, but that’s just my hypothesis.
I thought they looked a little more “Ironman-y” myself
Agnes definitely has something up her sleeves cause she keep bothering wanda and she keep mentioning her husband ralph and devil.Agnes mention june 2nd thats the date when the salem witch trials started, also agnes has pet rabbit named "senor scratchy" thats the devil name " old scratch"
This is excellent!! Great reaction guys. Wish I had people to discuss this with on my side of the planet. How fun to speculate all of what's going on. Excellent theories! I just love it.
I have theory that rather than this reality being in her head, she made a sort of reality ‘bubble’ instead. Then sword could’ve sent a helicopter in but it got transformed into a toy.
Fits in with the theory that most of the side cast are just poor people caught up in it.
I’m with you on this one, and I think it makes itself pretty clear if you pay attention to the latest trailers
the guy in the bee keeper suit was Talos right? The Skrull Leader from Captain Marvel played by Ben Mendelsohn?
One thing I can't figure out is Vision, I mean it can't be the real Vision so is it an illusion or just a different guy who is used as Vision by Wanda?
Man that show is so fun!
Actually the actor is Zach Henry a stuntman on WandaVision
@@Roberto-to1li oh really?! okay, they do look alike though... a little bit, if you ignore the age gap haha
I think Modok is showing up in this Phase. That guy coming out of the sewer looked like an AIM agent. But i could be wrong.
That’s a SWORD agent who hazmat suit was warped into a beekeeper suit which you can see in a tv spot
That Millhouse dude would be pretty awesome as Moleman.
I feel like Wanda has an entire town/region somewhere completely held hostage by her mind and all the people are real, kinda similar to The Shimmer from Annihilation. Monica Rambeaux (now working for SWORD) volunteered to fly into Wanda's big illusion bubble (whatever) and crashlanded in her helicopter (she shows up shortly after, not knowing how she got there). So I don't feel like this is all playing out in Wanda's mind, but actually in the real world and SWORD/SHIELD is probably monitoring the whole thing from a massive containment base or something. The "commercials" are Wanda's parents and have something to do with Wanda/Pietro's trauma as kids from the Stark bombs they survived
Mouse of M! House of M! Also I think the lines "The devil is in the details." "That's not all he's in!", might be huge!
A lot of people are saying that the person watching Wanda and vision at the end of episode 1 is Darcy which makes sense to me.
Sword was introduced in Far From Home. :)
‘You sneaky fucks’ I snorted lol
If I saw a beekeeper come out of a manhole, I'd probably say No too lol
I'm not trying any of HIS honey. lol
LOL! HEY! Stop breaking the 4th wall when something interesting happens! I'm gonna choke on my snacks!
I swear if it ends up being a version of the Spiderman villain Swarm I will be SO HAPPY
Why would a Spider-Man villain be there wearing a SWORD suit
@@Roberto-to1li maybe it is a new version of the character instead of the nazi scientist made of bees (because that is stupid)
Love the reactions 😘💜
I want MOAR WANDAVISION! I hope this show is how Marvel introduces Mephisto.
Oh so much detail to go over this week! Another pitch perfect classic show homage as well. Can't wait to see what the other decades are like! Do you think they are jumping a decade per episode so that by episode 8 and 9 we are in present time and setting up the start of the Phase 4 films?
Check out "Piff the Magic Dragon" sometime. Not exactly drunk, but he pulls off a whole "I don't give a fuck about any of this shit" attitude while doing magic tricks.
Since the very start of this phase(the announcement of multiverse of madness and wandavision) I've been saying this will be the MCU multiverse of madness where she goes insane or gets incredibly emotional and angry and so becomes the new MCU villain intreducing the fantastic 4 and the X men in her rage
I think Agnes (Agatha Harkness) husband is Mephisto. Devil in the details folks.
And I think it's the guy in the commercials.
beekeeper = AIM possibly...... or am i crazy
As for a magician playing drunk.
Check out Cardini. There is a rare video of his act from 1957 on UA-cam. Let us know what you thought.
I've seen some other reactions where they didn't like this show....I think they are completely missing it. This show is fantastic, and you guys are spot on in your reaction.
I admit that I know nothing about Sword. Who they are or who created them.
So, question. If Nick Fury was in space at the end of Spiderman Far from home, could he possibly have worked out the next level to S.H.I.E.L.D and galactic Avengers to form a new alliance called Sword, and they're trying to get Wanda out of her own psychosis breakdown, because her shattering an infinity stone had this side affect on just her? As if parts of his conscienceness and personality bounced back into her with the blast when she first shattered his stone?
Btw, nice call with the Milhouse kid all grown up jokes. I didn't think of that when I saw him. I actually thought it was David Schwimmer before I got a good view of his face up close. Lol.
But what will she say? No more mutants is off the table. But I'm so exited for house of m and I bet I will cry my eyes out.
She’s also gone by Captain Marvel...
Lol Jay is sooo tired 💤 🤣
“AIM”✌🏾✨
I don't know as much as you do about comic-stuff but my guess is that this is all in her head.
I rate this episode 2 WTF?s out of 2. We're stepping into some FREAKY waters, lads. Better come prepared.
I think someone is doing this to Wanda, and she is being manipulated by the “neighbour”
sword are trying to come and help her but she’s in now and doesn’t want to be saved - she wants this world to be reality
S.W.O.R.D was actually hinted at the end of Spider-man Far from Home.
MCU S.W.O.R.D. isn't space based, though.
If you go by end of Spider-man it is. Fury was in a spaceship.
@@dharbit Yes, he was in a spaceship. We thought it was a S.W.O.R.D. set up but then the MCU revealed S.W.O.R.D. wasn't space-based like it was in the comics. Which means Fury's spaceship is just a Skrull ship, and not S.W.O.R.D.
Oh ok. I didn’t hear that. I had always just taken it as he was setting up S.W.O.R.D. Thanks for the info.
Flourish!!
How many times did u get this episode blocked and re edited? Lol everyone is having trouble with it
More amazing internet awesomeness chaps 👌😃This new Marvel content is a lot more intelligent than many are giving it credit for.
So, so good, and WoW!, what an incite into the mind of such a powerful being!
I want Vision back!
"Of course I did the trick right, I'M (AN) ILLUSION"
!!!
OH MY GOD!!!!!! You’re right! Amazing catch!
FLOURISH!!
More than that, their magic show personas are Glamor and Illusion. And the audience's reaction to Vision using his real powers is tied into Glamor and Illusion's storyline in the comics.
Scarlett Witch can't get over Vision's death, and all hell broke loose.
Of all the reactors on UA-cam watching WandaVision, you two are doing what I consider to be some of the best detective work in terms of piecing the clues together. Jay already clued into where I also think this series is going. And if does goes there... the MCU heroes might just have a teeny tiny problem on their hands! LOL!
Thanks dude. Jay’s the Marvel guy so he’s leading the charge. I’m just really good at putting literary pieces together. This is a really fun mystery to figure out.
@@pReviewd It's definitely a fun mystery, but if it goes where Jay and I think it's going to go, it's also gonna get real dark by the end!
Marvel people have said that this show needed to come out before most of the next phase for continuity. I can't remember if Black Widow was delayed because of that, or purely Covid reasons, but Doctor Strange is directly following this series. So we've got Strange, Spider-Man, FF, and potentially X-men, Eternals, and GOTG/Thor all possibly stemming from events in this.
The pre-Covid schedule had Black Widow, Eternals, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier coming out before WandaVision, so those are separate from whatever happens here.
Yeah, I think they’re playing it like SWORD are the bad guys against our heroine, Wanda but it’s gonna end up that they’re the good guys and Wanda is the “big bad” in the end because she’s causing it all.
They do such a good job of recreating era appropriate sets, not copies, but enough shared visual language to give you all yhr points you need. Yes, that is Anyanka, good to see her in something this big.
Dottie: "How does a housewife get a bloodstain out of white linen?"
Adam: "BURN IT"
I am living for you guys' reactions this year - totally appreciating your takes on things, it brightens my universe!
I second this! Whenever I look for reactions for the new show I get bummed when I don't see Jay and Adam show up LoL.
💯
Instead of saying "no more mutants."
She's gonna be like "no, more mutants."
That would make sense if there were already mutants......
I wheeze
@@richierich7229 kill....joy
@@richierich7229 Wanda is technically a mutant, in most iterations at least.
@@Whoo_Boy True, I'm pretty sure they just weren't allowed to use the word mutant in the MCU cos of the Fox/X-Men stuff. But now that's done away with they should be able to explore that now
She was able to change reality just by saying "No" ... we've heard what happens when she adds "...more mutants" to her sentence
I’m diggin how the show is divisive. Some are just like wtf is this shit and then there are the entertainment nerds who are like omg this is pitch perfect good. The way they’ve nailed each series is exquisite. I’m just loving the time warp through the history. It might be harder for some younger fans to get it but if u are definitely 30+ the. U watched all those series on nick at night or the early development of like tbs when it was all they had.
PB and KH are just having a blast
I'm not over 30 and have only basic knowledge of old (classic) sitcoms, but I love this.
@@Karas540 I love to hear that. People just want things to happen right away but I love the slow deconstruction
@@DP-nl4uq yeah me too.
It seems to me that lot of people don't have the patience for that and want everything to happen now.
It irks me that the people hating this are all saying the same thing of how “there’s not enough action” even though we are only two episodes in and there’s already plenty of mystery and intrigue 🤦🏽 so many low-brow complaints from other UA-cam reviewers/reactioneers it makes me sad that some people can’t handle anything above gun “pew-pews” and explosions and sky beam portals 🤦🏽
@@patrickdoss25 In my opinion, the action is the least interesting and entertaining part of the MCU stuff.
Notice the cadence of the ticking of both the toaster and the watch in both "commercials" (which people are guessing is actually Wanda's parents). Also notice the "stars" in the animated opening form a hexagon which is how Wanda and Vision are framed at the end, which is the symbol for A.I.M. so is the beekeeper uniform. So is AIM holding Wanda and SWORD at trying to free her? I also love how the choking scene in the first episode is super Alfred Hitchcock and and the end of this episode is totally shot like Twilight Zone.
I was also wondering about the hexagon. 🤔 it could be a honeycomb, which would tie in with the bees. I hadn’t thought about the ticking and blinking though.... good catch. Maybe there’s a ticking clock situation going on that we’re not aware of yet.
I was thinking much the same thing, so scrolled down the comments to see if anyone else had posted something similar. Yeah, Strucker I believe was the one that created the AIM organization, and if memory serves me right I think that Deadpool calls AIM, 'The Beekeepers' on several occasions in the comics...
I honestly don't think AIM has anything to do with this.
@@richierich7229 There are way too many clues repeatedly saying otherwise. The only other option is they are all red herrings to throw us off...
@@darkwyve They are clearly teasing Mephisto because he directly connects with her kids and Agatha Harkness and Wanda going mad.
The is no reason to involve AIM and the only AIM thing people are talking about is the bee keeper who clearly had a SWORD logo on his uniform.
Can any other lucid dreamers relate to that rewind? Having a nightmare and take a wrong turn? “No, no, no. Stop! Rewind!” After rewinding and choosing a different path, it still takes a terrible turn? “Fine. A quick, painless exit...” Jump off the cliff (or into the hole) that materializes out of nowhere and you wake right up.
Yup. Or drawing a door into another dream. On the nose!
I usually go with a shotgun in my dreams...
Not...not on myself. Although, last resort...
LOL, "You sneaky fucks," I loved that
"There's no skip recap."
Don't you think that perchance it's part of the experience that they included that???
Yeah...skipping the recap is a bad idea for this show. The reactors I've watched have missed SO much, so far. This is a show you really have to pay attention to. In fact, most people should rewatch each episode, midweek, just so they can watch it without laughing quite as much. So many dark clues hidden in the jokes...
There’s 9 episodes in the season. Paul Bettany said in an interview that it’s a slow burn mystery for most of the series, then the last 3 episodes are the longest and “The Turn” where all is revealed...
Re: Anya's "I'm trapped" moment.
It's the second of that type we've gotten. EPISODE 1 had the same thing. Kitty from That 70s Show did it. Her "Stop it" had the name "Arthur" dropped out by the end, her eyes were panicky, and she was instead appealing to Wanda at that point.
That moment was my favorite of episode 1. Totally chilling with her laughing but her eyes just screaming "HELP!"
I'm thinking "Geraldine" is Monica Rambeau, and got pulled into the illusion along with the helicopter she was in. That's referenced in her line after the magic show about being backstage, then she was in the box, and didn't know how she got there.
Ooooh!!! I think she was on the chopper that went down. The toy chopper in Wanda’s bushes. Cause then she shows up at the pool meeting and doesn’t know why she’s there.
Jay's "wtf is going on" face at 12:20 is the biggest mood for this show
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.... this English teacher appreciates your literatary nerdiness. Thanks.
House of M - Disney is smart there bringing the X-men in
I think she trapped SWORD agents there. They talked about kids when there aren't any. If that was a regular town there would also be kids. And the commercials look to be events in her life. Maybe the next has to do with Quicksilver? I'm guessing it could be something like a gas station ad for Pietro.
Oh and Illusion and Glamour is a nod to a stage magician couple in the comics.
Watching this a year later, and man, Adam completely nailed the theory of what was happening.
Oooooh... Vision's asking about the "security"!
She's being manipulated but doesn't know it.
By who? Because this ties into the next Doctor Strange movie, I'd bet Mephisto.
That's the devil who's in the details, and "not the only thing he's in." Wink, wink. Is Dottie possessed?
Yesss. And notice how everyonr at Westview is pushing them to have children with all the children clues? The main villain, who possibly could be Mephisto, is aiming for Wanda amd Vision's children.
GOD, that would be a fucking boring twist. It would be much better if this is purely her doing.
@@tadcooper9733 honestly I was thinking the same, having the conflict be this off screen villain just makes no sense to me. Especially after her saying "no" in such a controlling way. It feels like she's aware of what she's doing to some degree. I'm open to anything and Im excited for what's to come it just feels like lazy writing to have it be based entirely off the House of M story with no twist or new ideas.
Could be Nightmare.
I got a "Stepford Wives" vibe during the ladies meeting.
Another class reaction.....millhouse weirdos 🤣🤣🤣 I'm literally crying with laughing you guys are brilliant, . I'm soooo glad you point out certain things as I'm not clued up on the comics etc. So thank you for shedding light on that. Roll on next week. Soon as that notification comes through I'm on it 😁....loving the nails by the way Jay lol
He totally looks like millhouse 😂
@@Hustlemandalorian 🤣🤣 yup
"This is not going to go well for people in the Marvel Universe." And then the Multiverse of Madness happened.
Not going to go well indeed....
to be fair....If I saw a scary beekeeper emerge from a manhole in the middle of the night...I too would say....no
watching this now my mind is blown that adam basically figured out 98% of the series afer 2 episodes INCLUDING the bee keeper / hazmat suit thingy :O
"Of course i did the trick right, im an Illusion"
oof
The ONLY thing missing is "Loki" as an "Uncle Arthur" type character. This is a masterpiece.
OMGs Yeeesssss!!!
We’ve been low key lurking on your channels for weeks just absolutely loving everything about your videos, and I had to finally throw out a comment because did Adam make a Short Circuit reference?? Johnny 5??? Honestly all the other reactors wish they had what y’all have 1000000/10 have already recommended and will recommend again
Thanks Breanna. Yeah that was a Short Circuit/Avengers Disassemble reference. Awesome job catching it and thanks for joining us!!! 😁
So... looks like Adam 100% predicted everything in this whole show, except possible Agatha. 😲😲😁😁
calling it now: That “No” is building up to a No More Mutants moment in the finale, but in reverse.
*chills* at just the thought. I wonder how graphic they're gonna go with that.
Let me just draw a ccmma and an exclamation mark here, and: “No, more mutants!” :P
I think this show is the opposite of house of m climax lmao.. Instead of wiping all the mutants, "mcu version"house of m introduce the mutants and increase the amount of mutants haha this is just an fan theory
First mental breakdown event is “no!”
Next event is “no more!”
Final events is “no more _ _ _ _ _ _ _!”
Adam's theorizing aged incredibly well, haha. And kinda interesting to see Jay's fears about what happens when somebody tries to tell Wanda her kids aren't real post Multiverse of Madness (which I wasn't thrilled with, but whatever).
>Adam complains about there being no skip recap
>Adam notices S.W.O.R.D.'s logo on the recap
Looks like the recap helped! :)
Watching this in 2022, and damn you guys are smart. I didn’t catch anything on my first watchthrough, but y’all predicted the exact plot! Amazing!
My grandmother's piano guy needs to pop in and carry the ding dong comedy. Put him in every movie like a Stan spot
Haven't started watching Wanda Vision yet... Just wanted to pop in and say I miss my peaches! Hope the new year is treating y'all well! 💚🍑
I agree with your theory as well, same one I came up with. I think Wanda had some kind of break down after Vision’s death, and cast a bubble of alternate reality over a town or group of people, and trapped them there. She realizes something is wrong, but I don’t think she realizes what she’s done. SWORD was activated after Endgame, and now they are trying to figure out what’s going on with this distorted bubble of reality. They still think it’s someone doing this to her, and after the end of this episode I think they now know she has at least some control of the reality because she pushed them out after they got in.
This is amazing to see them finally using Scarlet Witch, but terrifying for the people of the MCU what’s going to happen.
Mark 8:39. You guys! You didn't recognize the name on that building! The department store! Look at it again! 😎
Has NO ONE else seen Buffy before??? I’ve seen like six reactions and no one recognizes Emma Caulfield.
They also replicated differences in camera work... Idyllic moments have old time camera work, disruptions have modern dynamic and mobile camera movement with zoom changes and closeups.
In old days, cameras were extremely heavy, and actors had to perform in old theatrical manner, where they had to walk up to the proscenium and speak loud to the audience to be heard.
Pan movement of camera was all they could do then.
Thank you for also introducing me to the Amazing Jonathan. Just watched two of his videos, very funny!
When you said “turn you into a frog”, for a split second.. I thought you would say “troll” because of Anya. 😂😂
I only recently got to watch WandaVision, and yours is the 3rd reaction series I've watched, but you are by far the funniest!
