I think the commercials are supposed to symbolize Wanda's parents. In Age of Ultron, Wanda mentions how a stark missile killed her parents. Well in episode 1 of Wandavision, the commercial shows a stark toaster that seems to be counting down like a bomb.
At Dottie‘s Pool gathering she said "The devil is in the details, Berth“ and Agnes whispered to Wanda "That’s not the only place he is" had me thinking because before that I assumed Agnes’ husband Ralf was Mephisto.
‘That’s not the only place he is’ Referring to the Devil AKA Mephisto. For The Children could be referring to how Mephisto used Wanda’s children in the Comics as puppets
That wasn’t Mephisto though, that was some no name wizard named Pandemonium or some shit. But they’ll probably adapt that storyline with Nephisto instead.
The helmet in the intro is Grim Reaper's helmet, the brother of Wonder Man, Vision in the comics was created using the body of original Human Torch and the mind pattern of Wonder Man, because of that in the comics, Vision sees Grim Reaper as a kind of brother, there's a cover with the entire Vision family tree that shows almost everyone that matter to him, Tom King's Vision #10
every time we hear a bang. its a signal for an intrusion into wandas reality. first bang: drone helicopter second bang: Monica Rambeau third bang: Beekeeper
It’s interesting watching your takes on this because you take it much more seriously than I did when I experienced it. The sitcom-nature hooked me from the beginning and I almost lost track that this will probably be a more tragic story.
The first episode also ended like that, and in the animated intro to this one, there's 6 stars in the sky much brighter than the others forming the same shape.
There's something about this exchange that stands out this time at 7:53 "And she's not talking" "I had a feeling you'd say that" It could be a real-world mirror of what's really going on. If Monica is trying to get information out of Wanda but she's not cooperating while just playing in her own mind.
@@relrosner That could be it... But what I meant was that this was a nod to Doom Patrol where a character Rita Farr took on a superhero name Beekeper temporarily
Eric asked if it was a different house. Yes, it certainly was. In episode 1, it was modeled after the house in, "The Dick Van Dyke Show." In this episode, it was modeled after the house in, "Bewitched."
If you notice "Geraldine" Pauses before saying her name because Wanda hadn't assigned her a name yet since she wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place.
I love how throughout the magic act, Vision's magician name is "Illusion". A subtle hint to signify that he may actually be an illusion in Wanda's mind.
In the first episode, the house is built on one floor and in the second it 'grows'. That's why the tree suddenly hits the window! The 'sitcom' change house but not the tree!
The first one was definitely early 50's. In their house they had a radio in the kitchen and no tv in the living room. Tvs were a luxury in the early 50's and people literally entertained people by playing games or singing songs in their living room.
18:50 The Stark Toaster and Strucker Watch could be references to two of Wanda's most core memories. Remember that she and Quicksilver were in a building with a dud Stark missile, just waiting for it to go off. I could imagine it would beep like that. And Strucker was the HYDRA guy who both tortured the Maximoffs and gave them their powers. I predict a Quicksilver commercial.
My theory is that the helicopter was a real helicopter that was turned into a toy when it crashed into the barrier of Wanda's reality...and that 'Geraldine' was actually the pilot of the helicopter that was forced to assimilate into the town's illusion, which is why she hesitated when she was giving her name and might be why she was so afraid at the meeting at first, because her mind was adjusting to the new reality.
I've heard the theory that the commercials are representative of her traumas. The Stark Toaster: could represent the bomb that almost killed her and her brother. (The beeping speeds up like a bomb could, and the lady looks nervous as the beeping speeds up) The Strucker Watch: could represent when Strucker was watching her and her brother as their powers developed.
The thing that Rick said about the cyberpunk thing makes a lot of sense. What if someone has kidnap Wanda and put her in a place where vision is still alive, or it be the other way around where its people who are doing this as a healing process to help her get better, or it could be wanda doing it to herself.
For the helmet question, you guys are thinking of Eric Williams "The Grim Reaper", he's the brother of Simon Willams "Wonder Man" who was also the personality template for Vision in the comics.
Some people saw that and randomly decided that he is the villain even though he has nothing to do with Wanda or creating alternative reality’s but he probably will pop up some where
@@Roberto-to1li In the comics Grim Reaper is Vision's brother by proxy. Vision has the brain patterns of Wonder Man (Simon Williams) and Grim Reaper is Simon's brother, Eric.
There's a lady in the background of the town watch meeting that's glitching. She walks left while Herb is talking, it cuts to Vision sitting down and she's back to where she started and walks left again. It happens a couple times so it can't be an editing mistake. Also, in Age of Ultron, did Tony or Bruce design Vision's junk?
the whole sequence of the talent show can be also read/seen as how wanda is basically running the show, she's pulling the strings and fixing the details of her makeshift reality to fit in it and make it as close to her idea as she can.
That's what I was thinking. She's somewhat in control and wants to stay in that reality because it's giving her everything she wants, but I can't help but think somebody is manipulating her into pregnancy to use the kids for some ulterior motive. The entire illusion is literally created "for the children".
Which confuses me on how we went from having Scott under house arrest to "hey go figure out wtf happened to a super powered being in the form of Wanda and her magic powers"
I have a strong feeling the commercial breaks refer to significant moments in Wandas past. The Stark Bomb that killed her parents Experimentation by Strucker. I'm expecting to see references to Ultron, Pietro, and Thanos in the next episodes.
“FOR THE CHILDREN” - Wanda has already shown she can rewind time in this new reality. What if this is foreshadowing of something to come later, where Wanda doesn’t want to give up this reality because of the child(ren) she’s now pregnant with? It seems to me that she has created an ideal dream neighbourhood in the style of classic sitcoms, but what if things go further, and her “neighbourhood” physically expands beyond what we’ve seen so far? What if she can’t let go of the children and the life she has created in this fake reality, so she doubles down and messes things up further, and her reality bending takes over the entire planet, leading in to Doctor Strange?
yeah i think she’s gonna refuse to destroy the reality or leave it because even if she realises and accepts that vision is dead, i don’t think she’ll want to leave her sons and that’s when shit is gonna go wild lmao
@@themoonandtosaturn I know I cried so hard at the end of this episode because if she does give up this reality she has to loss Vision again and her children. When she said is this actually real I broke
The first house was a sort of composite of various 50s sitcom houses. This one is almost directly the house in Bewitched. Similarly the camerawork, angles and types of locations change from ones common in the 50s to ones from the 60s.
I feel like the part after the show, with Geraldine and Wanda, Wanda says "I'm not talking" and Geraldine says "I'd figure you say that" That seemed off to me also. Like it's almost as if that was a warning of sorts, with Wanda being like "Don't fuck with me, ur not getting any answers", you know?
This show is a masterclass in how the MCU simultaneously does not take themselves too seriously and at the same time takes their lore and world building incredibly seriously. Mixing classic campy sitcom with a dark story about a lost soul who is either throwing up this dream world as a defense mechanism or trapped here by sinister forces. And without a doubt this will be used to move the MCU forward with an entirely new threat by season's end. Just brilliant.

You can tell Agnes is not controlled by wanda she's manipulating her, dottie clearly is not.
The toaster beeping down remind me of what happened when she was a child and they waited for the Stark bomb that come through their roof to explode
The voice who says "Wanda, who is doing this to you" is actor Randall Park who plays Jimmy Woo in the MCU. He was in Ant-Man and the Wasp as the FBI Agent and Scotts parole officer
I think mephisto is the villian and geraldine is Monica Rambeau
Yes I think it’s a bit obvious Geraldine is Monica (Monica is confirm a sword agent, or works with them) and I’m very surprised that you’re the only one who picked up on Mephisto bc there are tiny references to him throughout the episode..
@@adrianav.7713 Tiny references? Such as?
@@bleepy013 Agnes mentions the devil during the woman’s meeting, also if Agnes is supposed to be Agatha Harkness from the comics... she serves Mephisto so another possibility
@@Moskarth she keeps mentioning her husband who's never there, maybe Ralph is Mephisto?
Yeah it the the same actress that has been announced as Monica. Also I'm betting Agnes's husband she keep mentioning is Mephisto.
Another thing to note, the Hydra watch that was made in Switzerland, Armin Zola, the Hydra scientist, was Swiss.
I think that Wanda is trapped in some sort of prison and the SWORD people are trying to get her back but she doesn’t want to leave because it has everything she wants
Accurate
Just like Mabel’s prison bubble from weirdmaggedon?
@@sombruhhh830 I can’t believe I didn’t make that comparison nice one🤣
Don’t forget about Agnes and Mephisto
Just remember Wanda's last memories are Vision dying then coming back after being snapped only to see the guy who killed him and ended up almost killing him until he said rain fire! She is like a soldier dealing with major ptsd and Mephisto is the one trying to control her so she can open up the multiverse so he can be free and thats when shit hits the fan i can't wait!
Every time I hear "for the children" I can't help but think "the greater good"
I'm wondering if the guy in the "commercials" is Mephisto himself.
Well I was kinda hoping evan peters but okay that still works
I think the commercials are supposed to symbolize Wanda's parents. In Age of Ultron, Wanda mentions how a stark missile killed her parents. Well in episode 1 of Wandavision, the commercial shows a stark toaster that seems to be counting down like a bomb.
@@RE4PER Ok I could see that too. That makes sense.
At Dottie‘s Pool gathering she said "The devil is in the details, Berth“ and Agnes whispered to Wanda "That’s not the only place he is" had me thinking because before that I assumed Agnes’ husband Ralf was Mephisto.
@@RE4PER I’m also backing the idea the two people in the advertisements are her parents! And that the commercials will be displaying her past traumas.
Marvel comic fans hearing Wanda say “No” 😳😬
‘That’s not the only place he is’ Referring to the Devil AKA Mephisto. For The Children could be referring to how Mephisto used Wanda’s children in the Comics as puppets
That wasn’t Mephisto though, that was some no name wizard named Pandemonium or some shit.
But they’ll probably adapt that storyline with Nephisto instead.
"The Children" in a "School" = Children of The Atom = X-men in Xavier's School
The helmet in the intro is Grim Reaper's helmet, the brother of Wonder Man, Vision in the comics was created using the body of original Human Torch and the mind pattern of Wonder Man, because of that in the comics, Vision sees Grim Reaper as a kind of brother, there's a cover with the entire Vision family tree that shows almost everyone that matter to him, Tom King's Vision #10
every time we hear a bang. its a signal for an intrusion into wandas reality.
first bang: drone helicopter
second bang: Monica Rambeau
third bang: Beekeeper
It’s interesting watching your takes on this because you take it much more seriously than I did when I experienced it. The sitcom-nature hooked me from the beginning and I almost lost track that this will probably be a more tragic story.
Guys did you notice at the end when it zooms out, they are in a hexagon like a beehive, the beekeeper was Sword, so it means it is Sword’s show.
The first episode also ended like that, and in the animated intro to this one, there's 6 stars in the sky much brighter than the others forming the same shape.
The modern stuff in Wandavision is fun, but the way they capture old sitcoms so perfectly is what does it for me
Amazing, u should see all of the hidden things and foreshadowing in both these episodes it’s insane and impressive, most impressive
There's something about this exchange that stands out this time at 7:53
"And she's not talking"
"I had a feeling you'd say that"
It could be a real-world mirror of what's really going on. If Monica is trying to get information out of Wanda but she's not cooperating while just playing in her own mind.
"It's a beekeeper"
"It's Rita"
Who else got that reference 😂
I like the explanation that the beekeeper is a hazmat suit.
This show also reminds me of Doom Patrol.
@@relrosner That could be it... But what I meant was that this was a nod to Doom Patrol where a character Rita Farr took on a superhero name Beekeper temporarily
@@mr.skippy4898 Yeah it's fun and weird with just the right amount of mystery. I love it
@@relrosner Its almost 100% rigth
The helicopter turned into a Toy, The hazmat suit turned into a beekeeper suit
Eric asked if it was a different house. Yes, it certainly was. In episode 1, it was modeled after the house in, "The Dick Van Dyke Show." In this episode, it was modeled after the house in, "Bewitched."
"Swiss-made". Which alludes to Zola. Remember "Winter Soldier"?"First correction:I am Sviss".
I love that line! 😅
1:00 "I woke her up im sorry" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA😂
The voice calling for Wanda was most definitely Jimmy Woo
If you notice "Geraldine" Pauses before saying her name because Wanda hadn't assigned her a name yet since she wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place.
Love the back to back episodes
The fact u guys are having deep conversation and theories about what's going on with Wanda shows how good this miniseries is so far.
“Wanda, who’s doing this to you”. It’s Jimmy Woo from Ant-man and the Wasp. He’s with sword now.
Them: "For the children"
Me: "The greater good"
The greater good!
The greater good
Looked up Glamour and Illusion and they were supporting characters in 1980's comics.
when Eric thought it was a slim jim "ohh yeah, that should be the commercial" 😂
The "Who's doing this to you, Wanda" voice sounds like Randal Park. Ant-Man's favourite close up magician, Agent Jimmy Woo.
18:50
The Stark Toaster and Strucker Watch could be references to two of Wanda's most core memories. Remember that she and Quicksilver were in a building with a dud Stark missile, just waiting for it to go off. I could imagine it would beep like that. And Strucker was the HYDRA guy who both tortured the Maximoffs and gave them their powers. I predict a Quicksilver commercial.
The guy on the radio saying “Wanda, who’s doing this to you?” is Jimmy Wu
My theory is that the helicopter was a real helicopter that was turned into a toy when it crashed into the barrier of Wanda's reality...and that 'Geraldine' was actually the pilot of the helicopter that was forced to assimilate into the town's illusion, which is why she hesitated when she was giving her name and might be why she was so afraid at the meeting at first, because her mind was adjusting to the new reality.
Emma Caulfield plays dotti and she’s from “Buffy” nice to see her back
I really wanted her to be in terror when she saw the bunny.
@@Windupchronic that would have been awesome lol
That's where her face is from!! That was bugging me so bad.
I was practically banging my head against the wall trying to figure out where I knew her from. She was great!
Anya!!
I've heard the theory that the commercials are representative of her traumas.
The Stark Toaster: could represent the bomb that almost killed her and her brother. (The beeping speeds up like a bomb could, and the lady looks nervous as the beeping speeds up)
The Strucker Watch: could represent when Strucker was watching her and her brother as their powers developed.
The person yelling for Wanda has to be Randall Park's character
This is one of the best shows I’ve watched in a very long time, so well produced, so clever, great acting and chemistry, funny and intriguing.
The Marvel logo doesnt change colour because it foreshadows the highlight of red throughout the episode or the transition to colour
24:12 yes there has. Dottie Underwood, she was the red room assassin working with Leviathan in season 1, and is also in season 2
Pretty sure the voice talking to her is Jimmy Woo. That seemed pretty clear to me since the trailer.
The amounts of craft that went into this show is just masterful. Even the end credits are so well done. Great job Blindwave gang
The thing that Rick said about the cyberpunk thing makes a lot of sense. What if someone has kidnap Wanda and put her in a place where vision is still alive, or it be the other way around where its people who are doing this as a healing process to help her get better, or it could be wanda doing it to herself.
I still think this is taking place during Infinity War.
For the helmet question, you guys are thinking of Eric Williams "The Grim Reaper", he's the brother of Simon Willams "Wonder Man" who was also the personality template for Vision in the comics.
I'm pretty sure the helmet belongs to a comic villain called "The Grim Reaper". A hint towards Vision's death?
"Drunk" Vision is my new favorite thing
The helmet in the floor is Grim Reaper a villain in the comics.
👆
Some people saw that and randomly decided that he is the villain even though he has nothing to do with Wanda or creating alternative reality’s but he probably will pop up some where
@@Roberto-to1li he is a villain for vision
@@Roberto-to1li In the comics Grim Reaper is Vision's brother by proxy. Vision has the brain patterns of Wonder Man (Simon Williams) and Grim Reaper is Simon's brother, Eric.
There's a lady in the background of the town watch meeting that's glitching. She walks left while Herb is talking, it cuts to Vision sitting down and she's back to where she started and walks left again. It happens a couple times so it can't be an editing mistake.
Also, in Age of Ultron, did Tony or Bruce design Vision's junk?
The first episode used the "Dick Van Dyke Show" while the second was the "Bewitched" set.
the whole sequence of the talent show can be also read/seen as how wanda is basically running the show, she's pulling the strings and fixing the details of her makeshift reality to fit in it and make it as close to her idea as she can.
We get "For the children" x1000 times and then she's magically pregnant? I think that's a lead.
That's what I was thinking. She's somewhat in control and wants to stay in that reality because it's giving her everything she wants, but I can't help but think somebody is manipulating her into pregnancy to use the kids for some ulterior motive. The entire illusion is literally created "for the children".
The helmet is the helmet of the grim reaper. He attacked the visions in tom kings "the vision" which is one of the main influences for this show
The guy saying “Wanda” is randall park from ant man
Which confuses me on how we went from having Scott under house arrest to "hey go figure out wtf happened to a super powered being in the form of Wanda and her magic powers"
I have a strong feeling the commercial breaks refer to significant moments in Wandas past.
The Stark Bomb that killed her parents
Experimentation by Strucker.
This.
@@themoonandtosaturn I know I cried so hard at the end of this episode because if she does give up this reality she has to loss Vision again and her children. When she said is this actually real I broke
You nailed it
The first house was a sort of composite of various 50s sitcom houses.
Ya I’m sure Monica has some memories of why she’s there and she sort of remembered why in that scene
@@Roberto-to1li monica?
@Turner Hammond how important is that? Cause i avoided any news of WandaVision and only saw 2 trailers i didnt want spoilers😅
Jimmy Woo: "Wanda! Who's doing this to you Wanda?"
8:30 That guy was wearing S.W.O.R.D's logo, but I think that that was a reference to A.I.M.
Paul Bettany was really channelling some Rik Mayell levels of ham in this episode and it was magnificent
Did anyone else notice how the emblem on the magic closet looked just like the Mind Stone - the source behind both of their power?
Jimmy Woo is the voice. Somebody probably already pointed that out. :D
The show could stay exactly as it is and I’d be happy.
no thanks 💀✋🏽
Yes please😍
I wish it would for a lot longer. It's only those who are more limited that can't handle it.
@@shaundgreatt7517 Yes please.
Justice League "Legends".
Super happy they're introducing S.W.O.R.D. Very intriguing series so far.
What is SWORD?
Old addams family, I love Lucy vibe. And I noticed they move the years every ten years for every episode
