Thank you all for watching me suffer :') Thank you to Henriette that wanted to watch the movie together with me, it really helped watching it with someone! ♥
Reminder to subscribe to my other channels as well ↬ youtube.com/@centaneanime youtube.com/@kamillaa ♥
kamilla tell henriette I have just subscribe to her channel and her twitch and am looking forward to great things from her no pressure though lol 😘☺️❤️✌️
i really love this movie. i think it is especially well crafted, the casting is awesome, it is full of details, but... this maybe wouldn't be my first choice in order to try out horror (and maybe not my second or third either). anyway, thank you for both your efforts! the reaction was almost more intense than the movie itself. i imagine it must've been like a rollercoaster (that gets really sad at points) 😅
If you aren't a horror fan then I can tell you this is a good place to start because there are few movies this good in horror... But its a bad place to start because there are few movies this good in horror !!! To 'clean' yourself after watching this movie just watch a pokemon movie... it cleanses the soul and you'll sleep better !!! LOL
your title says 2016, it's 2018.
@@UnhandyCandy280 WRONG!! The only PERSON that can cleanse your soul and cover all of your sins is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will receive the gift of everlasting life and shall never perish! Those who deny this TRUTH are still under condemnation!
John 3:15-18
Do not be deceived by the occult as it seems you are as I used to be, RUN to the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in His gospel: the death, burial, and resurrection on the third day for our justification that we don’t deserve, defeating death so that whosoever believes in Him shall never perish but have everlasting life!
These are the words of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh: Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM HE, you will die in your sins.
John 8:24
You are in my prayers!!
Toni Collette should have several Oscar nominations for her performance. She is amazing!
Best Lead Actress and what else?
I despise jump scares. But I adore horror movies. Being startled isn't the same as being scared. Legit scary horror movies are exceedingly rare. This is one of them.
What do you think of the Blair Witch Project? It's got no jumpscares at all, it's all in the building tension throughout the movie. It's polarizing, some people (like me) think it's one of the scariest movies ever made, others literally find it not scary at all and super boring.
@@IceCendersBlair with project is legendary. The movie that made found footage popular.
You've mentioned before that you are a chicken when it comes to scary movies, but "Centane Horror" would be a YT channel I would be down for.
oh please NO D:
@Mcph1741 that would be amazing 🥰😈
@@Centaneoh yes lol 😂🤣😈
A great idea. And the thing is, if you can make it through Hereditary, you can make it through most horror films.
She should post them here, not make a whole new channel lol.
Kami after the pole: Well, it can't get worse than that.
Hereditary: Hold my beer.
The Mist: Hello there.
One of the scariest horror films I've ever seen lol, but so well directed and the sound design added so much to the tension... the acting though, Toni Collette should've won an Oscar for this
This is one of the finest horror movies in the history of cinema.
Ari Aster is a rare talent.
This was so scary, but I had so much fun!❤
❤❤❤❤
I never understood why people thought that this movie was scary...For me, Korean and Japanese horror movies are waaaay scarier than this movie. I thought this was an okay movie. I give it a 6 out of 10 scare factor.
Oh my gosh....I've seen this movie like a dozen times and it's hilarious watching people getting scared 😂😂
You wouldn’t think it is that funny if you understood the spiritual things that are happening when someone opens themselves up to the occult which is Satanism hidden in plain sight!
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved from the wrath to come.
John 3:36
You are in my prayers!!
2 things:
1. I love you having a reaction with your cool friend Henriette.
2. I feel bad for how scared she was!
Omg “ the luxury of not climbing” 😂❤ great reaction!! Both of you!
I tell everyone "Heads up,its a rough one." or "this one will hurt your head " or " this is heads above other horrors"
Not the time to lose one's head. That's not the way to get ahead in life. It's a shame she wasn't more headstrong... She'll never be the head of a major corporation.
@@medalion1390YEAH BABY
“That’s enough”
“Okay”
It’s not that bad, tf lol.
I’m from the U.S., but I grew up in a state where a lot of Scandinavians settled, and am of Norwegian descent myself, and taking your shoes off when you enter someone’s house is very common here. I personally, was brought up being taught that you don’t wear your outside shoes in your own home, and that you were being considerate by taking your shoes off when you enter someone else’s home.
After seeing this, I’d also love to see you guys react to the movie, The Descent sometime. But if you don’t want a movie like that right now, I’d really love to see a reaction from either just you by yourself, or both of you together, to a Norwegian movie called Trollhunter.
The US has many different cultures in a very large country. "Shoes off" is something some people do and some don't. One size does not fit all if you get my meaning. Please keep in mind there are very few things that everyone does.
A courageous watch from both of you, and very entertaining. A reaction to Midsommar would make my day.
I am really impressed by how well you two pay attention to detail. Your reactions were perfect for the scenes and I enjoyed how cautious you were. You were telling the characters not to do things and it was brilliant. Great reaction. And then, "the luxury of not climbing" made me fall in love with you both. I am now a fan.
Just so y'all know...a top 5 reaction to this movie!
Excellent reaction and I like the dynamic of reacting with your friend.
Toni Collette shone in the series United States of Tara, in which she plays a woman with multiple personalities. Tragic and funny at the same time.
The woman plays with her face alone what other actors have to do with everything they have.
I love her as an actress.
Nice reaction. NGL this movie is a masterclass in creating suspense. Viewers are just cooked in their seats waiting for the scare to happen.
Also ever since I became fluent in English I never trusted translators again. They're just injecting lots of things that aren't there in movies, books, games etc.
The Italian saying "Traduttore, traditore" (translator, traitor) comes to mind. Aside from simple statements (e.g. "the car is red"), literary translations are necessarily rewritten versions of the original, since no two languages have the same set of words and connotations. Then there's just straight up removing or inserting things, which is sometimes a part of "transcreation"/localization but usually the mark of a hack.
You girls need to do Midsommer!
Without a doubt.
Another good film for the two of you to watch would be 'Midsommar' 2019
One of the horror masterpieces of modern cinema. The actors are brilliant, the visuals are sophisticated and already perfectly crafted, and Colin Stetson's hellishly beautiful score, composed mostly for wind instruments - remember that Paimon is known for his camel-riding trumpets and other instruments - gives this a perfectly put together piece of work. There are few films that are capable of having a physical, physiological impact on the viewer during and after the film.
How Toni Collette didn't get nominated for an Oscar for this performance is beyond me. Hun skremte dritten ut av meg!
yeah! i can't think of many other actors that actually managed to evoke so much emotion in me (as toni collette did in this movie). i also think it increases with repeat viewings.
but she also made me cry in "the sixth sense" 😅
It's because the Academy is biased against the horror genre.
That's why producers who want their horror films to be considered usually call them "thrillers" instead.
@@HSR107 Cope.
Agreed, and u could say the same for Peter's actor.
@@aj897 wut? lolooloolololololololol
This is the scariest movie i have ever seen, anything connected to death is super scary to me. Also the actors are all so good in it.
This is a really great reaction!! Glad y'all enjoyed it as much as I did on first watch (at least to some extent lol)
However, I would really suggest censoring the head at 20:58 mainly due to how YT will take down videos for having stuff like that in it. Maybe just go into YT editor and put a blur over the head itself for a couple seconds. I know y'all prob know what you're doing but just wanna make sure YT doesn't strike y'all or anything for "inappropriate content", even if it's fake.
This is one of my reactions to this movie. Maybe Midsommar next?
I definitely needed a 2nd viewing to fill in the blanks, I think it's one of the best horror movies ever made. And even accounting for the fact that the Oscars rarely recognize horror, it's a travesty that Toni Collette didn't get a nomination.
Great reaction video! You've got such natural empathy, I think it really made your experience much more intense and immersive than for most people.
By any chance if you're up for some much less intense but still horror movie, there's a little New Zealand horror comedy gem that deserves more love than it gets: Housebound (2014). It's got humor, it's still got a few spooky moments, great plot twists, also quite a few sweet, emotional moments. I think you would enjoy it! Don't watch trailers for it though, they tend to spoil the surprises.
Midsomar next with the always fantastic Florence Pugh
Great reaction. I'd heard of King Paimon somewhere before this. So ended up geeking out a little finding out about him. The lore this film uses is pretty much spot on. A few fun bits the film changed:
The book you see is even one of the few books containing lore of Paimon (12th century), they just changed the title of the book.
King Paimon is actually 1 of 9 kings of Hell. So the thing about needing to face in a certain way is incorrect.
The other change is the beheadings. His lore contains nothing about that. The reason it was included was the art work you see in the book. He has 3 heads hanging from his belt. So they changed that. But it adds a Lot of extra scare.
Hope that helps you guys sleep a little more soundly.
Hope everyone is having a great week & much love to everyone from here in the UK
"He's just trying to get a girlfriend"
I think he's trying to get a little more than that xD
the song after Peter jumps out the window is so good. For such a terrible event the music sounds so triumphant and beautiful.
Subbed. This was absolutely amazing.
This movie is outstanding as a pice of cinema, but at the same time it has such a depressing tone and Toni Collette's performance is so gut-wrenching and real that I don't think I'm watching it for a second time anytime soon. It's too much to take.
Awe yes Happy Mother’s Day Weekend 💕 the timing is wonderful 😂
59:33 kamilla you got jokes lol 😂🤣
30:03 kamilla face reaction lol 😂🤣
I nearly fell out of my chair watching you stress eat sour gummies. AND jealous too. Craving them bad! Greets from Denmark!!
42:51 lol 😂🤣
Great reaction vid!
Awesome reaction of my favorite horror movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you!! 😁
Love this duo reaction, the best one for this movie that I’ve seen 👍
This is an amazingly crafted movie, a second watch is nice, knowing what it becomes and so much becomes clear, like when she's at the meeting, talking about how he brother killed himself, claiming the grandmother was "putting people inside of him", which we write off as mental illness, but later see that's very much the truth, she was trying to use him as a host for Paimon. Just like Joanies husband and son that drowned, preventing them being used. Even her own episode and the dream, saying how she tried to abort Peter, or accidentally set him on fire, all attempts to prevent him from being used as a host for Paimon. Just so much packed into the dialog that goes unnoticed on the initial watch.
I remember watching this for the first time. It was the most creeped out I'd and my wife had been by a movie in at least a decade. The atmosphere is just so tense. Great reaction!
great reaction, great understanding, bring your friend more often... love both
Y'all are some brave souls 😂
Yeah, I love this movie, but it's an endurance test. Constant high tension and that trademark Ari Aster feature of showing you images you wish you hadn't seen with absolutely no warning so that you can't look away. He's a genius, and this movie is an instant classic, but it hurts to watch at the same time.
This is such a lovely film for all the family to see. A really feel good movie. The kids will love it.🤗☺️❤🎉
Them: Let's watch a horror movie, how bad can it be?
Me: So you chose this one?! 👀😁
Funny and entertaining reaction. 👌
56:58 lol 😂🤣
9:06 lol 😂🤣
There is alot going on in this film that you will miss completely on first viewing.
A really good film
I love it when people who aren't accustom to scary movies watch the horror genre. Do Talk to Me Next! :D
OK....now you are ready for Midsommar....same writer director and it's set mostly up in your neck of the woods.
i wouldn't say norway and sweden are the same.... also, the outdoor scenes weren't even filmed in sweden, they were shot in hungary
@@stefanforrer2573 i didn't say they were the same...just the same general area in the world...Scandinavia. I also didn't say that it was filmed there...I said that the story was set there.
@57:30ish... "That's not Mommy anymore..." =8-O Kamilla and friend, GREAT reaction, the both of you! Loved it! I've seen this flick many times and you guys brought me back in to the suspense and anxiety! Kamilla, pleeeeeeeeeeeeze do more horror! Loved your reaction! =;-D
RUDYYYY my poor heart cant DO IT
After you should watch Keanu Reeves supernatural movies Constantine and The Devil Advocate, I promise you won't be disappointed
Oh yes. Kamilla watches a horror movie, and it just happens to be one of my favorites.
How lucky can you be.
👍 For an extremely cool reaction. Hoping it won't be the last horror movie.
Check out the movies Host(2020) and Creep(2014).
Nice that Kamilla's friend joined the reaction. Its a good idea to have company watching these horror movies.
Heredity is one freaky movie.
The two movies I wanted you to see the most ..hereditary and pride and prejudice and both reactions were the best you've ever done! You got so deep into each movie! Hope you do some more Jane Austen, and maybe the witch andMidsommar???😊 and maybe barbarian?
it was so funny im gonna watch it twice xD
I’m not sure where the “Americans don’t take their shoes off at home” thing comes from, but it’s always been that way for me as an American. Whenever I came home or visited a friends house as a kid, we always take our shoes off, and always done so as an adult. Same with my friends. Why do foreign people think we don’t do this? Or is it true and I just live in the few places in America where it’s common?
Everytime there's something on TV, either acting or reality people never take their shoes off 😭 I guess we both have noticed as it became a topic 😂
@@Centane Yeah that’s true and weird lol I don’t know
I had to comment on that also.. I wrote a mean comment lol. I had to because I'm sick of Europeans just assuming so many weird and odd things about Americans because they once heard an American did this or that so I guess that means all of us do it?
My entire life I and my family have always taken our shoes off at the door along with my friends and pretty much everyone else I know.. like I said I don't know where they get some of the things they do about Americans..
I have lived 56 years in the southern US and I don’t know anyone who takes their shoes off. Maybe we’re just uncivilized and we’re the source of this stereotype. 🤷🏼
@@stevesheroan4131 I dont know man, I live in Appalachia, they say we're the most uncivilized and stupid people in the nation lol
You started your friend with Hereditary… hope she is still your friend lol
I am writing this to help out kamilla and this video and this channel with the algorithm 🥰
The most stressful comedy ever made
21:31
That's the moment I gave you a thumbs up.
I hope it was worth it!
The director has spoken a lot about the story. King Paimon is a real king of hell in The Lesser Key of Solomon. Charlie was possessed by Paimon from the beginning of the movie. Peter wasn’t emotionally damaged enough for Paimon to possess. Since Paimon wants a male host, the grandma’s sect, including Joan, mess with the family and Peter until Paimon can possess him.
Horror movie reactions are the best
amen 🙏😈
OMFG... looking forward to watching "damsel"... during the intro of "hereditary". this is gonna be a clash... 2 minutes in 😁
damn, just seeing bits and pieces of collette's is just super intense.
recent horror movie wise hereditary, suspira, and evil dead remake are really good. i hope you see other two also. lol
Besides the exorcist, drag me to hell, barbarian, the descent, so as below so above, Clown, this is about the most scary and disturbing movie u will see.
I first watched this by myself late at night and it scared me the most out of any movie I have ever seen
That’s because this is the occult, which is Satanism hidden in plain sight deceiving many, as I used to be deceived by the occult myself. My dear friend, I am telling you the truth, most people either ignore or laugh at what I’m saying thinking this is just a joke! I’m telling you the TRUTH, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved from the wrath to come.
John 3:36
You are in my prayers friend!!
Yall gotta watch Midsommar next. It's by the same director who did Hereditary and it's super messed up too lol
tbh, with everything I know about hollyweird and the entertainment industry, the cults within it, and the elites, this feels more like a documentary.
Great horror movie. Even better reaction from the two of you. For relative horror newbies, you managed to pick a truly scary movie. Most horror is funnier than scary, but this one makes me tense like few movies can.
Being Norwegian you should watch midsommer directed by the same guy as this movie and takes place in Scandinavia
great reaction, fantastic movie, Henriette is cool. more horror plz thx!
Welcome Henriette. 😊
Next Movies: ;)
The Hills have Eyes 1-2
Hostel 1-3
The Green Inferno
She: We are going to watch Hereditary!
Me: Are you sure about that?
Please watch Midsommar. It's the same director and its A24 as well
I was looking away when at the time but the very first moment somethin slightly startling occurred, all I heard was "I regret everything!" and couldn't help but laugh.
I will say as much as a horror fan I am and have grown a tolerance to them over the years. I think this one was probably the first in almost 20 years to actually scare me. So I'd say it's a hell of a movie to watch if you aren't really used to it. You may have some fun doing lesser scary movies that are far lighter in terror, Like "Krampus" (2015) which ironically also has Toni Collette in it but it's a horror movie I think is perfect for non-horror fans and kids as well.
Maybe one day, Suspiria (2018) and Maniac (2012) for when you want to do something a little heavier in atmosphere.
Enjoyed this reaction, would certainly enjoy if you did more horror movies, certainly needs the company of your best friend for moral support!
I cannot believe you watched this one, this horror movie has one of the most disturbing scenes I have seen, "The power pole and the car" that scene always makes me shudder.
I hope everyone has a day full of honor, wealth and good familiars. Hail Paimon!
you made the right call bringing a support buddy 👀🍿⚠️
This movie is fukd
i regret ever watchin it way back
i would love if you could react to any of the Lars von Trier movies... they all have one thing in common that they are deeply disturbing on different levels, some are a no go for youtube, but works like "Dancer in the Dark" with the musican Björk as a lead role would be perfect
Next up... Midsommar !
That was so fun. More horror movies please!
I understand the dialogue in the movie fine, but I still like to read the subtitles. I'm Swedish and understand 90% of written Norwegian, so it's fun to learn the words I don't know, which I can usually pick up from the context. "Jeg klarer det ikke!" 😥
I hoped you would do a reaction to this movie 😂😮 you Heard my prayers thanks 😊😂🎉
please everyone don’t forget to check out her gaming channel and her anime channel and her twitch channel 🥺🙏
i like horror movies.. but this one fked me up lol.. i felt so bad for the brother, great actor.
that movie is hilarious
well this is a surprise this is going to be fun lol 😂🤣😈
I seen this movie before which wasn't that scary to me but half of my family like on my mom's side is dutch even tho we don't speak it all we know is english no other languages
Americans also take their shoes off or some do.
I hope you ladies are ok and I hope you don't get nightmares.

Of all the horror movies to start with... This was hard for me and I've watched hundreds.
