That looks like a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun too. You're making me want to grab the shovel from the shed and go out searching for unwanted trees 😂
very well done Doc. I have noticed pure pumice is used alot in the recovery of yamadori over the years and it makes alot of sense to me. I loved the landscape shot near the begining of the video. Looking forward to seeing this one come spring and summer.👊💚
I tell you Xav It was very difficult to get at but will be worth it in future I got a Hawthorn in open ground and it took a fraction of the time🤣 Thanks for your support my friend👊🏻
Would it be advantageous to bare root the tree, get into 💯 pumice then add Mycorrhiza into the pot. This being a deciduous tree! Looks super spikey! Ouch
I pulled three trees off the ground here. Not many salvageable roots, but I repotted them with my garden soil in bonsai pots and hoping it does well. Is molar clay okay as a medium for these trees?
When you say as a medium do you mean neat or mixed with other particulates?🤔 I would suggest you don’t use it neat but maybe with some pumice pine chips and some decent soil I have a video on soils if it interests you but I don’t use molar clay myself
Yh not a lot of roots at all The largest blackthorn didn’t make it or the hawthorn But the smaller of blackthorn has been waking up and even flowered a little and I’m happy as that was my favourite tbh
In this case the farmer will be removing these trees for his livestock to graze I think thats a great idea though If it was possible I’d be up for doing that definitely 👍🏻

I’m just editing a video very similar to this with a birch tree. The tree put up a real fight!!! 😂
It wasn’t easy but hopefully it was worth the effort
Look forward to seeing your results
Thanks for watching Jason appreciate your support👊🏻

That will come later when the tree survives
We need 2 give it the best chance of success
So keeping the original soil will help this🤞🏻💪🏻
Sound advice mate. @@D.RBonsai4601
I just wanted to get there and get on the end of the shovel 😮😮
I’m glad it made you hungry for yamadori Pauly💪🏻
Always!! love a dig@@D.RBonsai4601

I think if you must do this removing. trees from nature that is you should replace it with another tree in its place.

I think thats a great idea though

too bad to see the trees taken from nature, 90% of which will die, while you try to make bonsai
