I love the fact that we can change our Pet's specializations. Especially if we want to match our Pets with our transmog Why was that feature removed in the first place?
Pets should have been cosmetic from the start and the skills should have been in a talent tree from the start. Blizzard could have expanded the fantasy of pets much more with that, like the hero talent tree we have for classes now. and beast hunter in my opinion should have a special ability called mirage, an ability that makes 2 images of the pet appear when it is almost dead, the original pet then becomes immune to damage for 8 seconds and then goes into stealth so you can heal it with that healing ability a hunter has for it why you ask my pet gets killed constantly by people in every pvp gameplay leaving me as a beast hunter with virtually no defense options and the revival of the pet takes too long in pvp
The spec change is opening up all the pet families that were stuck as Cunning to finally be usable in PvE! Being able to use my Mechanical and Serpent pets is what I’m aiming for!

I am sure it‘s meant to be a challenge to get there, but I am not sure if I am doing it the intended way 😅 I heard of other people doing it with a new item from delves and goblin gliders for example :)
For me my Wind Serpent is the one and only pet I'll ever use. I have her from my early hunter days :) But I'm always happy to see the variety of the new pets that get into the game!
Definitely the rats. I have been waiting for standard rats (as opposed to the glowing rock rats in Zaralek) for years; and they're adorable. (Now, if they could also let us tame Spint and the giant rats in Stormwing and Orgrimmar).

Amazing video and the first to show the new pets. While the new pets are pretty cool, the patch lacks creatures compare to other patches, the return of pet specialization changing makes up for it. As a survival hunter and when I do solo content, I can finally use a boar or a mechanical rather than a scalehide, or a cool looking raptor and rodent instead of a carrion bird or the other bugs. It’s probably the most exciting hunter feature return ever
The journey to the radioactive rat is a good old Hunter pet hunting trip :D Aside from this way, I wonder if using the Nitro Boosts tinker and hoping for a malfunction to launch me upwards so I can glide on down would work
I love boars. Every one of my many hunters has a boar pet. Back when I PvPed a bit, that charge and stun was amazing. I am looking forward to being able to change their spec. I never understood why they were made cunning.
Pets are no longer locked to tank, dps and pvp? That is amazing, I was disappointed when Spirit Beasts were changed to a tank pet it is nice to have that option again along with mech pets.

The Mecha T-Rex is a Boss in the Raid and will most definetly become tameable in a future expansion, just like the Gorilla! However, the T-Rex also exists as a Mount, so at least something!
@ Yeah, that‘s true. The Bombshell-Crabs used to be Mechanicals for the longest time on the PTR, but they eventually changed it, probably so they can use the Crab Shank Toy :p

Idk I kinda like the idea of switching pets depending on the situation...dps, tanking, ect. It gives you more variety

It probably is. Kinda reminds me of the jumping puzzle at Kugane Castle for the FF14 players out there.

Its great that now we can choose the specialization of the pets. So as BM we can just use it if we need BL or not and go on crazy..
