In this video DreamcastGuy talks about the new gameplay and his general reaction to the Capcom Next showcase that happened on July 1st 2024 and why he is so excited for Resident Evil 9 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and the Dead Rising Remaster which is almost more of a remake with all the graphic and gameplay changes.

I mean, that means RE9.... Whether they literally call it RE9 or not, is irrelevant. It's still going to be a >new< RE game, therefore, not a remake.

I like both honestly. I’ll probably prefer third person in my first play through, but first person adds another level of immersion.

capcom talks "RESIDENT EVIL 9", was literally 10 seconds of them saying they working on a resident evil game.
I'll be waiting for the physical disc version I don't want that digital shit.I like to own my games
Same here broski same here like I'm not a fan of digital I have digital games like but I only go for digital if I have no option or if I really like a particular edition for a game like but majority, of the Time I'm all about that physical copies like. As with digital, they could end up eventually, removing the game, and ur money gone to waste like and just ain't a fan like I wanna officially own my games like.
Me too I love to buy and own my games, music audio CD, Blu ray movies I brought for my local stores too. Make Physical Media great again.
Single player games yes however everything nowadays is patched. RE2 had the additional stuff by patch

Can we get a Dino Crisis Remake?
Dead Rising is one of my favorite games. I know it’s already been said, but I’m disappointed that Terence Rotolo will not be voicing Frank in the remake. They could have even used the original audio. Not a deal breaker, but definitely a disappointment.
Yeah that voice is iconic for me. Such a shame. I heard the new voice and I don't like it at all, but maybe that's just the nostalgia goggles haha
@@Beans300 I don’t think so, TJ nailed it in the first game. When Dead Rising 4 came out, it was shocking how much they changed Frank. He was never a wisecracking asshole like they made him. He wanted his story, but he was a genuine down to earth guy who cared about what he was reporting on. Maybe the new guy will do a good job, but I’m definitely going to miss “FANTASTIC!!!”
@@ThreeFortySeven I never played 4 but the new voice sounds much older and more... unhinged. He sounds like your crazy uncle who may or may not be on crack haha. I also don't like the character design at all... they made him look older and uglier. I know the original design (during production) was supposed to be ugly but that's not what we got in the released product. Frank looks like a decently attractive/normal dude, not an aging and overweight unhinged dude that he is now lol
If dead rising adds a running button and improved AI, I would play it forever.
Imagine if RE 9 is like Farcry, but with zombies.
There are more than 5 games like that.
If it ain't 3rd person, I'm not buying it. If it doesn't have a physical release, I'm not buying it.

I can stand behind the Physical Release. I have a friend who is a video game collector and even they are getting tired of the digital only stuff.

I wanted to do every trophy on the ps4 but the game crashes so much that I’m terrified to try the 7 day survivor. I ended up platting DR2, even with the crashing. I never understood why capcom didn’t patch these games.

Dead Rising is going to be sick. I was just thinking about that series a few weeks back. Complete graphical overhaul in RE Engine with autosaves and other quality of life features. It’s more a remake than a remaster by today’s definition. I’m actually hyped. And they announced it right. Not 2 years in advance. Comes out in Sept.
They acknowledged Resident Evil 9 a year ago.

Deadrising returns. The best gaming news I’ve heard in a while. We should be seeing DR3 in 4-5 years man. This is a dream come true. Those are some of my favorite zombie games. I can’t wait to see the new take on a classic zombie game

I'm a huge fan of resident evil. Can't wait to sink my teeth in 9. Definitely getting drdr. I've always wanted to have a good blast on it.

I hope with the dead rizing remake they will take that darn timer off. We want a sandbox game with some ergency but not timers
I don't think the next RE should be semi open world BUT in my opinion, it needs to be more like system shock remake. And by that I mean that you can mostly explore the level or a few levels right from the start but you can't continue with the story until you figure out how to progress. I mean, it is linear but you are not locked to one place until you figure out how to continue...
Make Racoon City completely open for us to explorer, I pay good money for that.

Need a damn Dino Crisis remake!
Wake me up when it's Dino crisis remake. I don't think we need another zombie game let alone another remaster, despite how fun that game was back in the day. Was a product of the time when zombie movies were decent like 28 days later, zombieland, shaun of the dead, dawn of the dead ect. Even dead space didn't sell well resulting in cancellation of the rest of the trilogy.
My opinion I feel that 1st person in re7 was great but in re8 I felt that third person was better for that game than 1st person
All I care for in gaming is Resident Evil, once that stops idc for gaming anymore. But I hope Resident Evil 9 is going to be down the same path of the original 3 even though I know they can go fully down that route.
I hope Resident Evil 9 is both first person and third person. Dead rising is day one purchase for me. I thought it was jaring playing dlc for the village all in 3rd person. When the main game started out, first person.
I say make r39 switch between first and 3rd person
RE9 probably gonna be 1st person for PSVR2 most likely. Since RE capcom are Awesome at Virtual Reality. RE8 on PSVR2 is Awesome Experience
Ngl wished dead rising came to the switch or at least say it was being worked on on the new system and re9 he did a “we do it” i woulda freaked out if they revealed a tiny tease or a reveal like they did with re7 that reveal was insane! Just saying “we do it” was kinda oh guess next year then? Remember Kitchen demo? We had no idea it was actually re7. Its soo cool to realize a year after that kitchen was re7! I was kinda hoping for a tease of re9.
Definitely passing on the Dead Rising Deluxe remaster. The PS4 port was good enough with the faster loading times. The game has a cool concept, but is a little rough around the edges. The developers seemed to want to stay true to the original version, so that's commendable, but this game really needed some refinement. I think the only good thing about Dead Rising is the intro. It's very intense. After that, the gameplay loop gets annoying and repetitive.
RE9 going open world sounds really cool. This is what I always wanted from the series. I think the first Dead Island was a perfect example of a semi open world zombie game. I think Capcom should look to that for inspiration. Add co-op and driving too. It will appeal to more players who are afraid to play alone.
I think honestly think the gameplay loop is pretty good, plenty of little things in the environment to manipulate and use. And small details as well
Re village still looks amazing I love how I played that game years ago almost at this point and now I’m gonna come back to it after I defeat. Re 4 remake - I’m gunna jump back in 7 /8 ( I might play the old-school Resix but who knows- I feel like resident evil nine is going to be like a resident evil six remake “technically “ another gang all here type of game - just With Jill v also ( please keep zombies no more ozze monsters with teeth lol -although the lichen in the zombies and all that other crazy stuff was cool - more of that and zombies no more dolls 😂.. or big ass baby’s lol that was pure nightmare fuel

We badly need DR Case Zero and Case West as they are not available anywhere but the x360 and its closing its online store on July 29! DR needs a lot of fixes and non timed game mode, that 72 hour game pressure pushes a lot of gamers away!

On Dead Rising remake I want the weapons to be indestructible. I hate when you must change weapons all the time. I think if RE9 would be an open world game it would be boring. It would be like GTA with zombies. It would be repetitive.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess was the only interesting thing they showed.

You need to make correction video regarding Sony is gone end physical games. Did you read the article before posting video about it or just jump in quickly on the topic. The article says about Sony reducing printing of Blu ray blank discs not games or movie discs! They not gone end physical games they would lose too much money look at Alan Wake 2 it was only digital and didn't sell that well, so they are releasing it on physical format. You people need to stick to your guns don't buy digital and they will continue releasing physical for decades or end of time!

Didn't care for that one game as it is just a glorified tower defense and I already know what the Deadrising game has to offer. RE9 will just be another game I watch someone else stream and then pick up the "gold" edition a year later

It was terrible. The whole dead rising remaster and re7 bid went on far too long. Bunch of Capcom executives talking about old games and how they were made ... zzzzz zz zzzzzzz look at me i'm sleeping. I dont care. The whole "showcase" could have been a newsletter or an e-mail notification. And as a final insult they closed with "We are working on a new RE game BUT we cant talk about it or give any details" ... how convinient. Stop wasting my god damn time than 🖕

Although Dead Rising DR show some gameplay and potentially RE9 being somewhat hinted, this was honestly a very terrible showcase. 25 minutes to talk about a total of 3 games and basically telling us how Dead Rising came to be even though we all already knew. Also who the heck wants to play Resident Evil on a mobile device? This is worse than the cloud play for the Switch.
