These techniques are truly miraculous. I did these therapies on my father who has severe hemiplegia on his left side and has not been able to extend his arm for nearly a year after his stroke. I tried the rapid flexor movements and within minutes, his fingers started to loosen up and I was able to extend his hand just like in the video! I could see how happy was dad was. I was thrilled and continued this twice a day, everyday. It's only been 4 days, but he's now able to extend his arm and increase his range of motion. We are practicing supinating, and I have already saved so many more of your videos to further work on his hand and next the wrist. I appreciate the "what not to do" examples as I've been mistakenly trying to "pry" my dad's hand and arm open. As you've warned, this has hot been effective-and has in fact, caused the hand and arm to tighten up even more. Thank you Dr. Sharma! You are a genius and truly know what you are practicing and teaching. Your educational series has saved my dad and our family. Many blessings.

According to my understanding, the entire injured body is one unit. There is no separation. My method is circular movements thousands of times until the tension of the head, neck, arms, legs, back is released, all circular movements thousands of times.

Both the synergies needs to be facilitated and developed side by side to ensure that flexor predominance donot hinder with facilitation of Movements like elbow extension, wrist extension, etc

This technique is taken from the occupational therapy book known as occupational therapy in physical dysfunction by pedretii... There is whole chapter deducted to brunnstorm.
We as a occupational therapist , use NDT , brunnstorm and functional approach to ehnace hand recovery.
If brunnstorm get combined with occupation based approach .
Then it can bring good hand recovery..
Unfortunately many of the OT and pTs are unaware they just give simple exercises to stroke cases
