Wow amazing i really enjoyed watching this video good job that's a great improvement in just 1 year I love gardening myself i live in phoenix Arizona it's kida hard to garden here because of very hot summer but i still manage to do it because i love gardening so mutch and i inspire the people who Gardens keep up the good work 👍👍👍
It's all about growing the crops that can handle the heat/your climate. At some point I'll do a video on which crops can handle Florida summer heat, and they should apply to you too. Thanks for your support!
Wow really nice food forest. I make my own food forest in Spain Mallorca island, but here every thing grows more slowly because the winter time is fresh..... I just suscrib in your you tube channel. Sure I will learn many things with you.
Thanks for subscribing! What's the climate like there, dry? I hope I can provide some value with this channel, I'm always working on the gardens and there's so much to share.
@@IncredibleEdibleLandscapes hello the climate here is cold and wet at night 3°Celsius at day 17°c. And the summer time really dry 22°c at night and 36°c that's why the growing season is short only at summer time. I'm from Spain Mallorca island.
Thanks for the support! Moringa is truly a miracle tree. I even use the leaves as a bed topper and an ingredient in compost tea. My neighbors will have to learn by example...
Great to see it after the first year! Mine is 14 months since I had the first load of wood chips dropped. Amazing what can happen in a year. How often are you adding wood chips out there?
Thanks! It really is amazing how things can change so quickly. I have had only 2 loads of chips, the most recent of which only half has been spread. Before that we were using bagged cypress mulch from HD - big mistake. It mats together and locks up nitrogen way more than fresh trees. Going to have to fluff it up at some point and add lots of compost tea
I’ve got a strawberry guava that was a stick two springs ago and is now a huge bush covered in flowers lol! So when’s the best time for me to top mine? I’m zone 9a-coastal MS Mines in a pot since we do get frosts (we had 5 this winter) but guess what? I’ve got a driveway full of wood chips I’m waiting for hubby to get back from Lowe’s with an extra shovel - we begin our food forest today! I’m so subscribing I need all the help I can get. Looks fabulous, I can’t believe your bananas fruitied so quickly!
@@moniquegebeline4350 The cattley guava (what you have) is cold hardy, so you shouldn't have a problem with it being outside in 9a. If you want to cut the tips, do it during spring right as it's starting to push out new growth. Excited for the beginning of your food forest! :) Thanks for the support.
Awesome yard! I too am in wpb as well. If u ever want to know when to plant what u can check out the ifas website as they have a ton of info on gardening and other things that may be helpful for you.
@@IncredibleEdibleLandscapes That sounds like a plan,I'm also a master gardener I do alotta volunteer work at mounts botanical gardens, if u haven't been there I highly recommend it!
@@IncredibleEdibleLandscapes Florida big bend area. We had to clear the forest to start a food forest. I have a few videos up. Take a look if you have time. I'll be doing another update mid Feb.
