I love the resilience of food forests. The woman’s comment at the end, about how it is now a heirloom, that with the knowledge passed down, will thrive through many generations.
Most people in Senegal are Muslim, and in Islam we refer to this as “sadaqa jarriyya” or “ongoing charity” - a charity that continues giving benefit to communities of people, plants, animals for many generations to come.
I am a permaculture practitioner myself and my small patch of land has been transformed with the help of trees interplanted with short crops. I always knew trees were the answer. It is very encouraging to see the establishment of these food forests. Congratulations to the NGO’s involved and all the farmers and communities involved in this amazing project.
My favorite saying is: "Best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. Second best is to do it now." Great initiative which seems to result in immediate and graspable improvements.
Big thanks to Planet Wild for your incredible work in Senegal! 🌍🌳 Your efforts are making our planet greener and communities stronger. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏💚
I think that was the most important and most impressive part of the project, to me, when I saw 👀 those people smiling and happy with their produce and proud of themselves to be the stewards of their land and feed their families and have left over funds!! That definitely impacts the communities and the world 🌎 as well!! 💙💚💛 I’m super impressed with the smiles 😁 on their faces!!

It is the solution and way for many rural types of food production. Though it is not suited for feeding urban centers. Most of the human population live as urbanites. They demand extreme efficiency and production. Permaculture is not scalable in high density human population.
Though perhaps Permaculture paradises will allure many urbanites to venture out of the cities.
Thank you for helping to save our planet....
As a Mossy Earth backer that just stumbled upon your channel after UA-cam recommended it to me, I am impressed by your work. And it makes me happy to know that there are so many people out there fighting for the future. I'll gladly join Planet Wild as a backer as well. Keep up the great work!
Again a great support to nature and the people that need it, proud of the actions and being part of the community🤩! And an extra tree with this comment, isn't 🌱🙌💪 Keep up the great work 🎉

Forests are the only solution of every problem of recent problems✨
I love that you help the local people have ownership over the land and this helps them be invested in the success of their gardens!
SO important. Thank you for your support!
I absolutely love what you are doing to support food forests❣️❣️ As a life long grower, I am studying everything I can learn about food forests to incorporate it into restoring the five acres we live on in Western Washington. Thank you for this incredible partnership😍🙏🏽💕💕
Love this! keep growing!!
So happy to see this - Permaculture is simply us working with nature instead of against it (and ourselves). I typed that just as you said it - hah!. Love to all involved in being a force for nature and nurture.
This is a fantastic example of working with and improving the outcomes of these communities.
Thank you for sharing.
