This is hands-down the best version of this classic hymn that I've EVER HEARD! And I'm a 55 yrs old PK (Preacher's Kid) who has performed it, alone, and in choirs, heard it hundreds of times if not more. It gives me goosebumps every time and almost always tears! My beloved Granny played the harmonica, and I play piano, sing, and we used to gather around as a family and sing it (and other hymns) as a family while I played piano and she played the harmonica. Wonderful memories!! I agree about his conviction, too. He is a Christian. Also, his father gave him that harmonica before he passed away. I feel like all of Heaven stopped to listen when Dan sung this beautiful and unique rendition of Amazing Grace. Also, with all that's going on in the world right now, God sent him to bring hope and the Gospel message to a world that is growing darker by the day. He was borth "for such a time as this"!
