Plays many instruments. Does all his own recordings and all prod. In his own home studio. He is something. A one man show. Wow is right. I have listened to this song by Dan at least 50 or more times and it hits me the same every time. I have listened to dozens maybe hundreds of different singers, instrumentals, etc. many great ones and those great ones are no less great today but Dan Vasc, with this particular performance, tops them all … this is the way this song should be sung.

I never heard of him before. This song and him just appeared on my feed. When I heard him, I got the strangest goosebumps I've ever experienced!! It was like the Holy Spirit in me came rushing out of every single pore of my skin! Then grabbed hold of me and took me half way to Heaven!! I cried and was an emotional wreck by the time he finished the song. Strangely enough it still does that to me! I am still tearing up as I write this comment! I can't help it!! He took a basically dead hymn and brought it back to life as it was always meant to be performed!! I think he's an ANGEL!!! I really do!! You ought to hear him sing our National Anthem!! Dan clearly made the song his own by starting with his bass-baritone, moving right into tenor mode, then heavy metal, back to choirboy and ending with anybody's guess! WHAT A SINGER'S SINGER!!
He begins a capella in bass, which has an alone, humble sort of feel to it. The harmonica section gives it a generational echo which is a beautiful touch. As it builds and he starts to really put his "pipes" into it, it begins to feel like triumph of grace over sin and the grave, and gives beautiful resolution to it. Dan has definite skill and a buttery feel to his voice. Good job!

I've only ever heard this song sung close to this great just once. This is by far the best rendition I've heard. The only one close is Dropkick Murphys rendition, but this even beats that version. Dan's voice is in a class all is own.

Speechless, jaw dropped, wide-eyed, that’s how I was at the end of this…experience. This guy has one of the most exquisite voices I’ve ever heard, but as though that wasn’t enough, he sings with such amount of emotion that we’re led to a void where not else exists during those few minutes, time just stops. Speechless ❤ I too found myself holding my breath and when he was pushing those strong notes out i felt myself pushing with him. Dan clearly made the song his own by starting with his bass-baritone, moving right into tenor mode, then heavy metal, back to choirboy and ending with anybody's guess! WHAT A SINGER'S SINGER!!

He begins a capella in bass, which has an alone, humble sort of feel to it. The harmonica section gives it a generational echo which is a beautiful touch. As it builds and he starts to really put his "pipes" into it, it begins to feel like triumph of grace over sin and the grave, and gives beautiful resolution to it. Dan has definite skill and a buttery feel to his voice. Good job!

I've only ever heard this song sung close to this great just once. This is by far the best rendition I've heard. The only one close is Dropkick Murphys rendition, but this even beats that version. Dan's voice is in a class all is own.

I am an 82 year old great grandmother. I first her this recording a week or so ago and am absolutely in awe of this young man. I listen to him over and over. never been metal fan but now I am listening to all his music. second and third favorites are American Trilogy and STAR spangled banner. i enjoyed watching you tonight and will be a regular. thank you

That is the best version of Amazing grace I have ever heard. Hands down. I always liked pentatonix version as the best, But Dan put his all into this. He was into it. it seemed personal to him. this was my moms favorite song I had played at her funeral .I wish I played Dans version he wasnt around back then.My mom would have felt this from heaven. Speechless, jaw dropped, wide-eyed, that’s how I was at the end of this…experience. This guy has one of the most exquisite voices I’ve ever heard, but as though that wasn’t enough, he sings with such amount of emotion that we’re led to a void where not else exists during those few minutes, time just stops. Dan is able to drag out the deepest emotions kept hidden in our hearts, he’s a manipulator of hearts😄And you, Bob, could feel and transmit all of that, thank you for the great reaction. Dan Vasc, to me, is right up there with Andrea Bocelli, Joseph Calleja, and David Phelps!!!! I first heard him sang earlier today through another UA-camr host for reaction to the song Amazing Grace. It was my grandmother’s and mom’s lullaby song to me when I was a little girl back in the 1960’s era. Powerful song! Thank you for sharing your reaction!
